The leaf is Val. The Arrows is Aoife. The Gear is Finley. The Hex is Ilifir. The triangle is the girl chained to the worktable. The green square is the field of Entangle vines. Each square is 10 ft.
I rolled strength save for Aoife, which was a 17, and they are not restrained by the Entangle Spell. The dragon is restrained by the vines while Aoife efforts is courageous, but the dragon has only 1 master and it knows to well what would happen if he would defy her though he was sorely tempted by Aofie efforts of animal handling.
Valrieth assumes that the dragon was going to get the hag or maybe one of the other guards, and she doesn't want to be surprised from that direction. She moves past Finley into the room and quickly dashes across to the door to L14.
Aoife sees a small figure, a little shy of 3 feet tall if it weren't for her long ears sticking up over her head a good 10 inches or so. Her face looks like a young rabbit with uniformly speckled brown fur except for slightly lighter-colored rings around her eyes. Both of her ears are rotated toward Aoife and the dragon even when she's facing straight west as she slips into the room behind the armored dwarf. Val's eyes are positioned a little more on the side of her head. When she's facing toward the west of the room, you can fully see one eye, but the other, not at all. She also wears a sort of monocle over one eye (the one that faces you). Her outfit seems haphazardly assembled. She wears a green tabard that looks somewhat dirty and travel-stained over old leather armor. She wears a pristine, expensive-looking cloak over that, with glints of gold thread trimming it. You also see the fancy hilt of a narrow-bladed dagger at her side, but her big backpack, the sword scabbard (barely bigger than the dagger), and most of her other gear looks cheap and plain. She has a round, wooden shield in her left arm, and in her right hand, she carries some sort of journal or book.
As Val approaches the half-orc and the dragon, she says (in a normal speaking voice, not really whispering), "Shhh. Keep him quiet!" She turns her head to look at Aoife with her right eye (with the monocle) again and asks, "Who are you? Where did you come from?" But she doesn't wait for the answer.
As she approaches closer to Aoife and dragon's mouth, she crouches down and suddenly makes a tremendous jump, landing 15' away, beyond the edge of the entangling vines and near a grate on the floor. Val looks down into the grate when she lands. If she sees anyone down there, she says, "We're here to help. Shh." Then she scurries around the northwest corner of the entangle area of effect to the door to L14. She stops near the door and listens for any sounds from that direction. (Perception19)
Movement: dashing 60' around her spell's area of effect. She should have enough movement, counting her bonus action, to reach the door to L14 Action: dash Bonus Action: Rabbit Hop (As a bonus action, you can jump 15 ft. without provoking opportunity attacks) Free Action: Talking
Val looks down the padlocked metal grate and sees A 3-foot-square, padlocked iron grate covers a 5-foot-deep, 5-foot-wide cell built into the kitchen floor. The walls of the cell are made of 1-foot-thick clay bricks held together with mortar. In the cell stands a male dwarf wearing heavy armor and a horned helmet. He nods in understanding and waits for his freedom.
Val listening at the door to L14 hears the sound of someone writing with a quill and soft muttering where she picks up the word's ungrateful children. The voice sounds like it comes from an elderly woman.
The door to L14 is ajar and if Val takes a peek, she sees a short, thin, gnarled woman swathed in a tattered dress with petticoats at a writing desk. Protruding from her back is a large wind-up key.
Aoife tries to hold onto the squirming dragonling, her greenish skin taut over the bulging muscles of her arms and the leather of her jerkin creaking. She watches the harengon bound past, confusion written plainly on her face. She looks around at the others, speaking quietly as bid.
"I... just arrived? I was in the forest and I uhhh.... went through a portal or something and ended up here. The dragon looked like it was running away from you so I, uh, saved it?"
She looks down at the dragon, activating the Speak with Animals spell. "Do you need saving?"
"There's a lot goin' on here, aye?"Finley is surprised by the newcomer, "We need th' dragon ta not sound th' alarm, we're honestly 'ere ta help." The stout dwarf's hair, orange as the heart of a forge, is flowy shoulder-length held back by goggles that are resting on his forehead. Except for two long braids on either side of his face, while his beard hangs down to just above his stomach. He wears a heavy brown longcoat with a fur lined neck as well as a layered metal shoulder pad on his left and a smoother one protecting his right shoulder. Beneath the open coat is heavy steel armor, and a belt with many pouches and tools, most notably a very fine looking rope. His gauntleted hands have brief sparks of arcing lightning running from the base of them to his fingertips.
He's wary and readies Thorn Whip in case the dragon tries to get out of the grapple and entanglement again so he can pull it back into the zone.
Action: Readies Thorn Whip if the dragon manages to escape out of the entanglement area of effect.
The dragon speaks in a deep voice that one may expect from a grand huge dragon, but maybe not so from a dragon the size of a dog. "I am Cradelfall and I need no saving as I must warn my master that there are intruders here in Loomlurch and you are one of them. You best get off of me before I tear out your heart"
The door to L14 is ajar and if Val takes a peek, she sees a short, thin, gnarled woman swathed in a tattered dress with petticoats at a writing desk. Protruding from her back is a large wind-up key.
After peeking through the door, Valrieth moves to stand in the doorway, facing into L13, but hopefully blocked from the hag's view by the mostly-closed door. She is standing perfectly still, but she's taking rapid, shallow breaths and practically quivering with fear. Her eyes are very wide and one ear remains swiveled toward the door behind her. If any of the others look her way, she mouths something and nods her head toward the door. She holds her hands in front of her and pantomimes winding up a toy. Then she gestures back at the door...or maybe her own back.
Clarification: once Val finishes moving on her turn in round 1, she's standing in front of the door so that the dragon cannot just run through if he gets away from her spell, Aoife, and Finley.
con save 18 (in game log) 13 damage, but i resist poison from the scion of the outer planes feat, so half again, rounded down iirc, so thats 6
ilifir turns to the new arrival "the dragon was guarding an enslaved child to prevent them from escaping" he informs them with quiet fury, releasing another pair of spikes into its form, before paling as he sees val hyperventilating
eldritch blast
ray 1- 12 to hit, 10 damage/ ray 2- 13 15 to hit, 12 damage. if one of them hits the dragon takes an additional 2 bludgeoning damage
(edit, the dragon is restrained and as such he should have had advantage, rolling the new attack rolls now, also in game log, first is a natural one, so it remains 12 to hit with adv, second is a 15)
aoife sees a fairy wearing sturdy grey-brown clothing with buckles to adjust it to fit and keep tight, and long elbow length gloves with intricate patterns
he is thin as a twig with sharp features and a sharper scowl, his wings are translucent and many layered, looking like a thousand shards of glass more than an insect's, in one hand he holds a bell, and the other is empty, fingers splayed as yet more thin spikes begin to form between them
This Mug immediately shared with me a transcendental tale of an Infinite Mug that anchors the Universe and keeps it from folding in on itself. I filed this report under "illogical nonsense" and asked why its sign is in Times New Roman font, when it is basic knowledge that Arial Black is a far superior font. I wondered: How did this mug even get past the assembly line with its theistic beliefs and poor font choices?

Round 2: Valrieth
Valrieth is terrified that Granny Nightshade will hear their fight with Cradelfall, which might mean that they'll have to fight the hag herself, but they tried to give the dragon a chance to surrender. Instead, it breathed "fire" all over her friends! Val still isn't sure who the newcomer is, but she hopes that the half-orc realizes now that the dragon is the real danger here. In any case, Val doesn't feel like she has much choice but to attack. Knowing that if they survive this fight, she may need to heal everyone, she tries to conserve her energy and uses a simple spell. She just hopes that she can weaken the dragon enough for Finley or the half-orc to kill it (or knock it unconscious) before Granny Nightshade hears them.
As quietly as she's able, Val creates a small flame and throws it at the dragon. (As she does so, she wonders, "Are dragons immune to fire?")
If the dragon is killed or knocked out before it can attack again, Val waves at Ilifir and gestures to the shackled girl, hoping that he can free her before Granny Nightshade finishes whatever she was writing.
Movement: None. Stay near the door. Action: Cast spell Produce Flame and throw the fire at Cradelfall, 26, Damage: 7 (fire) Attacking with advantage because Cradelfall is still restrained Bonus Action: None Free Action: If the dragon has been defeated, trying to signal Ilifir to pick the lock and free the girl.
(Finley's CON save: 13, with resistance to poison should reduce the damage to 6)
"Ye shouldnae done tha'."Finley growls as he smashes his gauntlets together and a field of vibrant orange energy begins to emanate from his armor. Seeing as the dragon is right there, he swings a fist into the side of the dragons knee. If it connects he hopes for it to kneel down so he can punch it in the face, if it misses he tries again with a left hook which connects solidly with the side of its knee.
First Attack: 14 to hit, 5 thunder damage
Second Attack: Natural 20 to hit, 11 Thunder Damage and if it attacks anyone but Finley it has disadvantage on the attacks.
Bonus Action: Defensive Field: Gain 5 Temp HP.
