Killian seeing the creature crawl towards the flame again, runs over and picks up the torch so that it wouldn't cause another blast of some sort. "Oh no youre not doing that trick again!" Seeing it trace something into the ground. Can I see what it's writing or drawing?
Leojym continues over to Darnell with Rumble. He places a hand on the halfling's chest and rapidly chants a prayer to Angharradh. Healing energy surges into Darnell's body.
At this point, the scribings of the hand appear to have drawn a triangle and a circle within it. The shadowy humanoid seems to spasm somewhat as the torch is taken away by Killian, almost as if it were in pain, while the club comes smashing down on the outstretched arm.
Seeing that it had seemed to be injured now, Mara will gather her magic and once more try to cast Toll the Dead on the creature once more. The sound of bells filling the area once more as the warlock pointed at the shadowy figure.
Shadow freezes, seeing that it is not actively trying to attack, maybe it is a spirit trapped wanting to save us from his torment, maybe it is trying to summon more beings like it here. He doesn't know if he should tell everyone to stop killing a potential clue, or kill the threat before it gets worse. He just stands there frozen with a look of horror on his face not knowing what to do.

Nodding his thanks to Eojym, he jumps up, and rushes over towards the shadowy figure. He tries to bash it with his club, then stabs at it with his "dagger," utilizing the fact that Darkwing is flanking the shadow.

Knowing that whatever this creature could be drawing might possibly knock the wind out of him again, Sim brushes the sand away from the creature's hand to clear away the drawing. After the sand had been cleared, he tried to make sure the creature could no longer draw by crushing its fingers with the club.
The is a panelling of attacks onto the shadow humanoid by the group, the shadow collapses to the ground, unmoving. After a couple of seconds, the grey dimmer light of the torch begins to regain its colour and flickers to its full brightness of a reddish-yellow flame. Simmeat has brushed away the lines traced by the figure, so they are no longer viewable.
(Just to note Darnell, if you make an off-hand attack with a light weapon, such as the dagger, you do not get to add the ability modifier to the damage roll unless it is a negative. You would require the Two-Weapon Fighting Style to be able to do so)
The party gains 45 xp (Total XP gained: 95) for defeating the shadowy humanoid, as his essence seems to slowly seep into the ground. The room goes eerily quiet again, only the sounds of the group's heavy breathing can be heard.
As the party is regaining its breath, Killian notices something...
Where the shadow humanoid's body disappears, there seems to be part of the stone that has shaped into a small sapling; two tiny grey stone leaves barely sticking out of the sand.
Mara seeing that her torch has returned to normal will consider picking it up but after the creature she will instead leave it on the ground in case anymore of the shadows attack. "Well that as unpleasant to say the least. Does anyone else think that itmwould be wise to continue on our way before anymore such creatures attempt to attack us?"

Killian, holding the torch Mara dropped as he watches the flame regain its natural color, sees the two "leaf stones" where the body had laid just poking out of the sand. "Aye take a look at this" he hands the torch Mara dropped back to her, because im holding two torches, bends over and picks up the two stones inspecting each one. "They're not beads like the last time but looks like leafs of some sort." I'll say out loud ::If the check fails below a 8 I'll pass the leaf stones to our dwarf to see if he can tell if it is the same type of stone as the ground is made of. Otherwise I put them in the pouch carefully with the 3 beads::
