Mara will back off towards the door that Darnell had managed to ipen, keeping herself ready. She will stiol prepare to cast her Eldritch Blast, holding off to see if the monster will try to attack Rumble as he steps forward. It is clear that she does not like the idea of leaving this thing alone when there is a chance that ir could come back to attack them later.
(Mara is holding her action until the spirit attacks.)
Rumble cringes and twists his head as if trying to shaking off some type of noise. Before the baying of the great wolf -- a noise that should be silent to all -- overwhelms him, Rumble finally gets a grip on his iron bar club and tosses it to the side, and then kneels before the spirit. He doesn't dare break eye contact on the spirit, for fear of setting it off. But still for the others sake he says nervously just loudly enough, "The dead don't like us being here she says. B-But... I-I think I... Just... Don't move." With that said, Rumble straightens out his back, and continues to say in the softer tone of Pirmordial.
"I see... Truly we have transgressed then. But great spirit, much as me and mines may wish to leave this place, we cannot. Something entraps us here. We know not its purpose, but surely in part in means to twist yours 'o dutiful one? For thou may not mean to do so, surely more suffering dead would result in violent execution. Please, we beg thou wise counsel on this."

Leojym heads through the gate and turns back to Rumble and calls out in a hushed tone, "Mister Rumble, are you alright? Can we go? We aren't leaving you behind too."
"I-..." Rumble starts to turn, only to catch himself half-way into the motion, flinching at the sound of cracking stone from the spirit. He again focuses back fully on the spirit of stone, but says aloud, "N-now don't 'cha worry bout me, Mister Leo! I-I... I'll be fine."He chuckles nervously. "Just... Just make sure that Mister Darnell has his strand of hair ready." Rumble says mysteriously. After a moment of silence, Rumble inclines his head and again in just barely above a whisper say something in primordial.
"Weary warden... Lonely shadow of stone... You speak of -- hint at being a caretaker of the dead... yet, you would wantonly doom them. Great Mother Chauntae would weep for you if she could but see your own suffering."
He pauses as if to let the words sink in, rises to his feet, and then takes in a deep breathe before moving closer to the giant of stone. Even if he should be battered for it along the way, short of being killed or knocked unconscious, Rumble would stubbornly try to get closer until his hand rested on the creature's stone hide. After saying something more in primordial, he points back to the gate.
"I wish not you or the dead further suffering spirit. But I must beg the one final query before.... I must know this... Does thou concerns of most things end beyond the gate by which me and mines seek to go?"

When Killian rises up in the air, he will shout out to the spirit saying "You have made your last decision before your demise" Hoping for a little intimidation factor.
Killian's Magic Missile goes off, as three pearly white rays of arcane energy strike the Spirit of Stone. It chips parts of its rocky form off, as small motes of spiritual energy seem to show through the gaps left in its toso, similar to that which forms the "face" of this creature. (Spirit of Stone: 12 damage)
The spirit is distracted from pushing Rumble away as its face focuses on Killian. It raises its arms up again, ready to strike.
Scenario: The Spirit of Stone is still 50 feet away from the gate, Rumble directly in front of it, and the rest of the party beside (Killian) or beyond (the rest) the gate.
Leojym speaks out some arcane elvish words and holds his hand out as if he were grasping at something. He casts mage hand and gets ready to close the gate as moves to a distance 30 feet away from it.
(To confirm, yes Killian's action was readied, hence it is why the initiative tracker still has him to go on the list)
Simmeat makes a tactical retreat further up the now natural looking cavern, away from the brass gate and the horrors that lie within.
Leojym weaves together the magic to produce a mage hand. The hand hovers by the door awaiting further commands. (Please note, commanding the hand is an action, as is casting the spell to conjure it. This turn you cannot ready an action to close the door as you used it to cast your cantrip.)
Mara aims at the spirit and makes a gesture with her hand as she mutters in an ancient tongue. She focuses in on it and readies her matic before blasting out at the spirit.

The spirit seems to lower its fists, looking first to Rumble, then to the open gate, and back to Rumble. It speaks in a gritty tone.
"The dead suffer and the living moreso. Your presence brings sufferance to the dead here, leave now before I am forced to cause you more suffering."
Simmeat edges back away from the spirit and through the gate, not quite turning his back on the spirit.

The stone spirit steps forward, looming over Rumble.
"The dead are kept here. The gates are the binds that keep the dead, so they do not suffer the living. NOW LEAVE THIS PLACE, LIVING TORMENT!"
The spirit then thrusts its fist into Rumble's chest.
Spirit of Stone's Slam vs. Rumble: 25 Damage: 8 bludgeoning, and the target must succeed on a DC 15 Strength Saving Throw or be pushed 10 feet.
Killian seeing the rock spirit attack Rumble lets his held attack go off and resulting magical surge effect
