Small cracks appear on the surface of the statue as the loud crack of a shattering spell discharges (though its barely audible to most of the gith over the howling winds).
Note: The wizard, Kalak, also has to make this save.
So Quadere and Vishnu are in the hallway and separated from the rest of the party that is in the large room?
Yes, they rolled high initiative and ran. The h7ge statue smashed one small statue and the wizard, got hit with some light strikes that did no damage and a shatter spell that definitely would effect the wizard, as well, which did cause some damage. I imagine the statue fails to completely block the light if the armor, but it takes up >90% of the doorway, so very little Illumination is offered.
<sorry, i thought I had already shared this updated map yesterday. Red curcle is shatter. I left fog of war in transparent mode to representdarkness, but allow players to see what's going on. Reminder thst the loot sack tokens represent the human atatues.>
(The statue can not get into the corridor nor we - those in the corridor - can get around it?))
I drew it oversized. Sorry about that. I shrunk it down on the map. it's written as size large, so it actually could fit in the corridor if it chose to. Even if it was larger it could follow using the squeezing rules. I had no plan of having it do so though.
My assumption is you would just destroy it. It doesn't have a ton of hit points, just a robust AC.
Is there enough space to see a free space past the statue?
<Just tell me what you want to do. I want it to work, but if I give the wrong answer it might work against your intentions. Just assume it's whichever answer you find more favorable. Trying to misty step or something? I'm fine with it. It's trying to block the exit, but it is a humanoid form, so not a perfect fit for a doorway and not so large as to utterly block it, but if it would help you if he actually did, then go with that.>
<Yeah. I said "I'm fine with it" whixh is poor phrasing, but yes, it works. I'm just assuming misty step to corridor, then. Of course. That's BA to cast, so it's still you'r turn.>
id like to try to stealthily get beneath the large statue, pick up a handful of dust from the ground and cast [spell]Color Spray[/spell] directly at it’s face attempting to blind it.
Given that were in Pandemonium and the raging winds are deafening, throwing sand is a risky proposition. To resolve this, I'm asking the rogue for a ranged attacks roll, with an AC of 18. On a 7 or lower, the dust effects the rogue, instead. Rather than omposing the blinded condition, this only reduces attack rolls by 2. But, because there are no rukes for pocket sand in 5e, and I'm just homebrewing all of this, @WesTheRocketMan csn instead choose, before making the roll, to use this as a narrative device for the help action.
{Edit: Wait. Never-ending. I totally went off on a tangent befire I actually finished reading the post. Sorry about that. Here's a save for color spray. (Feels kind of meta immediately after I said a statue had low hp. Just observing. Anyhow, not that low.}
In any event, the misty step is still possible and occurs, transporting the rogue into the hallway with the cleric and bard.
The statue sits in the floor, it can see in the dark.
(OOC, the roll didn't work, lol... let's try that again) Thunder Damage : 20

Kandalou's attacks barely scratch the statues hard stone surface.
Con save x shatter (w/ DA) 10
