"you going to share the wealth there fellas? If I'm going to die today, I'd like to have some coin on me. How many more do you think there are in here?"
(Since Investigation is the more up and close searching, I will assume people are headed in to look for things. If you want to do it from a distance, we'll use Perception)
Chad enters and looks around the area, treading inch-by-inch as he checks over the statue in the relief, and the remainder of the corridor's aged and plated surroundings. As he heads further in, he stops as he finds something suspicious about the ground about midway through the room; the small gap between the tiles appears to not have that sealing of cement like the other bits of the room's flooring.
P.S. Also back from my holiday now. Will probably be posting slightly infrequently for the first couple of days but will try and get back to normal service this week.
While Randaler is taking a closer look at the wall to the left of the cistern, the rest of the group goes through the other door leading from the room. With a sigh he thinks to himself... 'Later... I'll figure you out later.' With that he turns on his heel, and follows the party into the next room and down the corridor. He comes to a stop when Chad looks at the floor suspiciously.
Looking over where Chad has stopped the others, it appears that the flagstones just ahead of them are loose. In the adventuring tongue, this generally denotes a trap of some sort; perhaps a pit trap or a pressure plate trigger for shooting something from further down the hall.
(Sorry for not posting. Been very unwell this past week and trying to get back into posting.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Randaler slowly makes his way up the hallway to join his companions where they are intently peering at a section of the floor. Nudging in next to Chad he slowly runs his fingers along the edge of the floor in question, feeling for a depression or crack that would give a hint at the nature of the mechanism.
(Sorry, I thought I'd replied to this post. Apparently it didn't stick.)
Randaler and Chad look along the sides and determine that if you apply too much pressure onto this false floor, it'll fall beneath the person's feet; in short, a pit trap. There does, however, appear to be some slender bits of ground to the side that could be considered the edges of the pit to sidle across while hugging the wall in an attempt not to trigger said trap. (To do so would be an Acrobatics check.)
Randaler follows the edge of the trip and sees a narrow strip that might allow for safe passage across the span. "This sure looks like a trip. I'll see if I can shimmy along the wall here and get on the other side of it."
Taking off his pack, Randaler flattens out his back against the wall, and side-shuffles along the wall being cautious to not step out onto the actual surface of the trap itself. "When I get to the other side, you can toss me my gear, and I'll be able to help the rest of you across."
(If Chad is jumping over the pit, it would be an Athletics, rather than Acrobatics. Given that such physical feats of lower body strength are not his forte, I will assume he is more acrobatically dancing along the ledge to the side.)
Chad nimbly steps along the side, making sure not to trigger the trap as he skirts along the wall as he arrives on the other side. Randaler, however, is not as successful. His footing slips as the pit opens, threatening for him to fall in.
Randaler: Please make a DC 15 Dexterity Saving Throw.
Randaler slowly moves along the wall then looks across the space to the opposite wall as sees Chad quickly moving along the edge of the wall like he was walking normally, safely making it to the other side. Randaler grins and says, "Sure, go ahead and make it look ea...". That is when his foot slips off the narrow edge he is traversing, and lands squarely on the trap covering causing it to cave in, opening up a dark looking pit below. In a desperate attempt to keep from falling, he shits his weight, and tries to angle toward the opposite edge of the pit...
Randaler manages to catch himself, jumping the last bit of the distance to the other side without falling in. On the upside, it's easier for the others to determine where the ledge is.
After getting back on his feet from narrowly averting a nasty fall, Randaler looks over at Chad. "Showoff" he says with a smirk, going a bit red in the face. Turning back to the rest of the party on the opposite side of the pit. "Tie one end of my rope to my pack, and toss me the other end of the rope."Once he has the free end of the rope he instructs them to toss his pack over while he is holding onto the rope in case the toss is short!
OOC: Randaler's plan is to help everyone else over the pit as best he can with a rope tied around them in case they slip so he can keep them from falling onto whatever is at the bottom of the pit.
Checking into the pit, it appears that the trap is just a long drop, perhaps 15 or 20 feet deep. The ground at the bottom appears to be dirt, fortunately there is no vindictive spikes or other secondary trap down there.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Once the the rest of the group is safely across the pit, Randaler readjusts his gear, and cautiously continues down the hall towards the doors looking for any more traps.

I trust the others did an honorable job of checking for loot and Koko doesn't mind waiting till end of this journey to spilt it up evenly.

As the group re-enters the room with the cistern, Randaler takes a closer look at the wall that looked "off" to him earlier.

(Just to clarify, whatever loot Realgâr finds — he will split up evenly later.)
As Chad inspects the door, Realgâr stands by ready to attack with his Warhammer at a moment's notice.
