Rellahne turns to Tyris and then responds, "There were quite a few people who disappeared, were there not? Pardon me if I don't remember all their names, but I know that most were poor or weak. There's one person, one who doesn't fit in that category but that I know personally, who is among the disappeared. I find it important to find his location, but my objective here is to solve the case of every disappearance, not of one person in particular. If you have any news to share, it'd be a delight to hear them, but I'm here not to request information, I'm here to offer my help." Her formal tone is kept as she speaks, she gestures and changes tone in her words, but there is this certain need to look professional on the way Rellahne presents herself.
Tyris nods to the woman. "We became involved due to disappearances from an orphanage here in the city, but have heard of other disappearances as well."
"As long as your intentions are good, I don't plan to run away because of danger. The skills I learned are ones intended to be used to protect myself, and I hope to be able to protect you as well." Rellahne gives priority for the information she thought was more relevant before explaining the second part. "While I talked to that shop owner, it was first through Gretchyn, the one running the orphanage, that I discovered about you."
We have encountered quite the resistance in our search for answers and I do fear the road ahead will only become more difficult but if you wish to join us just be prepared for anything. We have a lead we were preparing to follow. Go collect what you might need and meet us here in an hour?
"Finding answers is my specialty, for I have discovered your group and your location in a matter of hours,"Rellahne responds, sounding a little proud of herself at that. She continues, "It doesn't matter to me how difficult the task is, I've passed through months training for a chance like this one. So, with that, I'd also like to say I'm prepared to leave with you. I have everything I need, all my preparations were made soon after I learned you'd come here."
I'm waiting for the final player (Alban) to respond before moving forward. Due to his current job he doesn't have reliable internet during the week, so I will often post for him in battle, but this is a little bit different and I want him to respond to Rellahne before moving forward.
Alben gives a small bow and a flourish, "greetings mi'lady, I am quite sure we can make use of your talents on this endeavor. Tell us, have you done anything like this before? Or is this your first delve into a dungeon, abandon fortress, or the like?"
"Well..." For the first time, Rellahne seems to hesitate, her strong and serious demeanor breaking a little as she stops and thinks to answer the question. "The answer is no... All my training was dedicated solely to knowing the ins and outs of magic and everything related to it. With that said, I'm sure my aid will be useful. I'm a spell caster, and if you need any evidence I'm not inventing things, here it is." Rellahne snaps her fingers, and the owl on her shoulder disappears, she snaps her fingers one more time and the owl reappears on Alben's shoulder. "Along with that, I'd hope people as skilled as you would recognize the Vanderboren name. After all, Todd, my brother, is a member of the most prestigious adventuring party in Cauldron, The Stormblades."
"I was not questioning your ability with magic, as this is obviously a familiar. I am just wondering if you truly know what you are asking for. And while i do recognize the name of the stormblades, I regret to say that i am unfamiliar with your brother. I am somewhat of a wanderer, and did now grow up in this area." Alben makes a small illusion of the owl on his shoulder in his palm, and has it fly around the owl's head (on his shoulder).
"With our leader's consent" Alben makes a nod to Shadow, "Welcome to the Inglorious Bastards of Justice" Alben smiles and winks.
Before Shadow can answer, Laladak comes back with a sheepish look and says "Well my friends, it has been a great time, but it looks like I have to leave to take his place " nodding to the person with the broken arm. "That is Jesib, a carvana guard. With his arm like that he needs another guard for the caravan, he is chartered to guard. I hope you find the children! Oreus, why don't you take the Full Plate when it is finished. Good Luck." So saying he leaves without a backward glance.
With one of the members departing, Shadow quickly agrees to take Rellahne into the group, hoping she with be able to hold her weigh.
The party leaves for Keygan "Ghelve" Locks (The entrance to the current dungeon is located in his shop). Fario and Fellian materialize from the shadow at the party's approach, and Shadow makes introductions. "These are two half-elves, by the names of Fario Ellegoth and Fellian Shard, they are on the same quest, we believe" . He mutters under his breath. "They are members of The Striders of Fharlanghn, which I believe is some sort of secret society." Turning to the halfelves Shadow says "This is Rellahne, she is a wizard who has asked to join our adventuring party. She is also a replacement for Laladak, who sadly has left this party."
Shadow leads the party into the abandoned gnome city of Jzadirune.
Do you guys want to head directly to the elevator? Or explore Jzadirune some more?
Shadow decides to heads straight for the Elevator, so you take the secret passageway from the stairs to the elevator.
Here is the description of the room again...
The floor of this octagonal room is actually a large wooden platform supported by taut iron chains looped over eight enormous pulleys bolted to the fifteen-foot-high ceiling. One end of each chain is fastened to a corner of the platform, while the other end drops through a hole in the platform, connected to something far below. Set into the northeast wall is an iron panel with an iron lever jutting from it.
(I believe that you have already deduced that the level set into the northern wall controls the elevator). Moving to the lever Shadow pulls it down. Suddenly the chains start moving and the wooden floor starts descending down at a fairly slow pace. The walls turn from bare grey stone to polished black malachite as the elevator creaks and groans. After a minute-long descent down the dark shaft, the wooden floor shudders as it comes to rest, and the chains stop rattling. Above, the shaft rises into darkness. The only exit from this room appears to be an iron-reinforced wooden door set into one wall.
Again like Jzadirune these are 10 foot squares.
(Pertuie if you have any questions relating to what has already happened just ask. I assume as you are walking that Alben (he's the spokesman of the group) and the others will be telling you what they have done.)
Seeing that the group was already in the move and once they have already used the elevator, Rellahne goes into her component pouch and picks a small piece of cured leather, she puts it against her chest and casts Mage Armor on herself, to also activate her Arcane Ward. (Assuming I can do that by adding Temp HP in this case since there's no other place to track it?)
(I do have a question, what exactly was the lead they were talking about? I know there was a lead that was bringing them here, but it was left kinda vague.)

(Hi! Were you waiting for a response from me? I've read the post you pointed me towards and now I think I have a better idea of where we are going. We are heading towards the Malachite Fortress, right?)
Rellahne remains still, waiting for the others to lead forward since, for one, she's the newest member of the group, but not only that, she's also not quite a great melee combatant.
Yes, you actually have just entered the Malachite Fortress. Somewhere along the way the party figured out the there were two bastions of good protecting Cauldron from the Underdark. The Dwarven Malachite Fortress and the Gnome City of Jzadirune. Jzadirune is located above Malachite Fortress and both were abandoned about 50 years ago.
Rellahne turns to Tyris and then responds, "There were quite a few people who disappeared, were there not? Pardon me if I don't remember all their names, but I know that most were poor or weak.
