Rellahne seems hesitant to unchain the other prisoners, more of a feeling of not wanting to do the hard work, but seeing the party focused on other businesses, she decides, in the end, to go and try to take their chains out.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Rellahne is able to find the keys to the chains on one of the hobgoblins, and releases Jeneer and Sondor.
Alben asks if anyone wants a healing jolt from his wand.
Both Fario and Fellian say yes.
Alben uses a Charge of the Wand of Healing on each Half-Elf
Fario 10
Fellian 7
That leaves two charges left if anyone else wants a jolt Otherwise Alben will probably hit them again. (That's 1d8+3)
Maple replies to Shadow "No, I only ways I know to get to the Slave Market is either through the Dining Hall or from the Cells.
(I will be placing Maple behind Shadow, so she can direct him. The other two will be in the back followed by Fario and Fellian, to make sure they don't fall to far behind the party. What about the goblin? Are you taking him with you, and if so, where should he be in the marching order?)
Shadow leads the party into the dining hall followed by Maple. The dining hall is currently empty of any creatures. There are four long wooded tables taking most of the room. Wooden benches are alone the tables. Obviously the Hobgoblins aren't very tidy as the table are littered with empty tankards, smashed pottery, and moldering scraps of food.
There are two doors to the north and two doors to the south of the room, with a fifth door heading West.
Maple whispers to Shadow that the closest door to the north is the cook's quarters. The cook Gryffon is a fellow slave, but she doesn't know a whole lot about him as he is locked in that room for the night, instead of the cells. The next room is the Ladder, continue around the furthest southern door is the kitchen, where Gryffon is probably at right now. The closest door to the south is the pantry, and the door to the west leads to the slave bazaar.
Shadow moves to the door Maple said was the Larder. He opens it the reveal a 20'x20' room (I'll update the map tomorrow) inside the room is...
Four slabs of meat hanging from hooked chains are the skinned, dried corpses of four medium-size monsters: a giant lizard, a krenshar, a hunting bat, and a snake.
The krenshar is a strange, catlike carnivore with extremely flexible skin on its head. A typical krenshar measures 4 or 5 feet in length with a long, narrow head. It weighs about 175 pounds.
Alright let's check the kitchen next. We will move clockwise around the room. If cook gets locked up at night he might have a guard. Be cautious everyone. Shadow will attempt to open the door to kitchen quietly 13
Shadow moves to the Kitchen door and tries to open it quickly, he success, however there is a Goblin standing guard on the other side. The guard is facing inwards. Goblin perception 17 vs Shadow's stealth (12). The Goblin notices Shadow.
Shadow can see into the room around the goblin and sees...
This sparsely appointed kitchen has a stone hearth set into the southeast corner, a worktable in the middle of the room, and some shelves carved into the west wall. The table bears many pots and utensils, and clay dishware clutters the shelves. Besides the goblin at the door there is a male human in his thirties pulling a tray from ghe hearth and a second goblin in the southwest corner.
Everyone roll initiatives.
