Tyris spends a good few minutes looking for traps. He examines the walls, and floor and sees nothing to concern him. He believes that the short hallway leading to the intersection is trap free.
The party reaches the intersection. To the west there are a short flight of stairs leading up to a small area with a 2nd flight of stairs. To the south the hallway ends after 20 feet with another gear door. To the east the hallway extends past the available light, but you can see flickering lights about 60 to 100 feet away.
As an action, you can detect good and evil. Until the end of your next turn, you can sense anything affected by the hallow spell or know the location of any celestial, fiend, undead within 60 ft. that is not behind total cover. You can use this feature 4 times per long rest.
I realized that it has a range of 60 feet, and does not detect Evil Creatures but celestial, fiend, undead.
You don't detect anything troubling within 60 feet of the intersection, in either direction.
Oreus goes south to listen through the door at the end of the small hallway. He thinks he hears a rustling noise from the other side but can't quite discern what it is. The rune on the door is a "U".
Are you going to go to the intersection?
"Someone should search for traps first."

Tyris nods at Laladak and searches the area for traps.
