RL loots 26cp from the body and two bone dice. There is also a key around his neck which RL confirms fits the thick door that leads out onto the battlements.
RL takes the body downstairs and puts it in a bunk, covering it with blankets.
Back upstairs again RL unlocks the door and everyone goes out. The door squeaks regardless of the oil, but no one hears it or if they do they don't check.
RL closes the thick door to the Great Tower behind them. He goes to lock it but there is no keyhole on the outside of the door. He hopes no one will check this door anytime soon. The rain is coming down harder now and soon you are all soaked.
Esa keeps an eye out on the chapel door and she thinks she can hear something moving about within but nothing comes out - seems even devils don't want to be out in the cold and the wet.
Esa, RL, and the six staff hurry across the courtyard and around the corner. Thanis Puddifoot points at a door and whispers that this door leads to the bunkroom where all the rest of the staff sleep.
Old Kellar nods. "We'll make it, don't worry about us, just get the rest of the staff out. We'll wait for them out of sight, and if we hear a big commotion we'll give it a few minutes and then we'll hightail it to Albridge."
Alesia smiles at Vakiel. "They knew I was a Gravelstoke, so they didn't want to kill me, but they wanted to know what the Gravelstoke intentions were and were tough with their persuasion techniques. I just told them a bit of the truth - that I was just there to keep an eye on things and report back if there was anything that might be a threat to the Gravelstokes. The initial interrogators seemed to be happy with that, even though they pretended to be outraged so they could hit me a bit more. But I was due to be interrogated by the high priest today, so not sure how I would have gone there. I guess you all know the power of a charm spell. Your timing was good, thank you for not forgetting about me."

Esa, do you want to go and investigate the secret door location or deal with the rest of the workers? I suggest Leth goes with whoever goes for the secret door so the staff arent startled by having a guard in their room
RL takes Thanis Puddifoot with him and opens the door to the bunkroom. There is some surprise and disorientation, but Thanis takes control and the dwarf cook Kergud is quick to get the others moving once Thanis has explained what is going on. The others are not bothered about RL being a shifter - the well-liked bowyer/fletcher shifters Vine and Sunrise lived in Harken after all - and they are all keen to get away from the Iron Circle brutality.
Within 10 minutes they are changed and each has a bag of their most precious belongings and are ready to go.
Meanwhile Esa has run into a problem. The door to the lower room of the north tower is locked.
Leth facepalms. "That's right! I forgot! The lower level is being used as a storeroom and some things have been going missing, so they've locked it from yesterday. It doesn't have a key, just barred from the inside! What are we going to do? Maybe you can fly up to the second floor and down the stairs. But the guards who are supposed to be patrolling the battlements will be there, trying to stay dry! Well.. %$#@&!"

Esa learns some colourful swearwords for Leth.
Esa rubs the bridge of her nose in frustration. "How is it barricaded? A bar? A beam? A plank?"

A wooden bar, not very long because the door isn't too wide.
Esa takes a deep breath and tells Leth to be quiet and let her concentrate. She casts Mage Hand on the other side of the door, closing her eyes, and begins moving the Mage Hand around where she feels the barricade or blockage is, aiming to jostle it out of the way.
Esa shows great skill in manipulating the mage hand out of her sight and not only lifts the bar off the latch, but lowers it noiselessly to the floor one side at a time.
Esa breathes a quiet sigh of relief. She turns to Leth and tells him to be ready. She drops Mage Hand and resummons it in front of her, gently and slowly edging the door open and peeking inside.
Esa will tell RL to grab it all once he comes back with the other servants
RL gets an annoyed look on his face, he approaches Esa and whispers, 'Esa I thought you would have found the door before you get the room so crowded with all these people, how are you going to search with the room full?'
RL will take some of the oil, blankets, crates of food and pile them next to the stairs and dribble some of the oil over the top of the whole thing. We may need their attention elsewhere once we are outside.
RL will start to move among the staff and tell them when you get out get of here head straight to the village and start moving people towards Albridge, the IC will be out for revenge and we need as much distance as possible to make sure they take it out on the buildings and not the people. Pass the word around
If you can get down the bank of the hill go straight north to north west from the castle.
Once he has done one lap he will go back over to stand guard at the bottom of the stairs.

Esa will go to the door, she's pretty good at Investigating!

Esa breathes a quiet sigh of relief. She turns to Leth and tells him to be ready. She drops Mage Hand and resummons it in front of her, gently and slowly edging the door open and peeking inside.
The storeroom is empty, with a few stacks of crates and barrels. There are stairs leading up.
Esa is going to peak inside the barrels and crates and see if there's anything worth taking.
Food, rope, oil, blankets, hard tack (hard, dry biscuit that lasts months), apples, nails.
Esa will tell RL to grab it all once he comes back with the other servants
RL and the 18!!! staff members come into the storeroom and Leth closes the door and bars it.
"I hope you're right about this secret passage," he says quietly. He turns to the staff - "There's guards upstairs, make no noise."
With 18 commoners milling about, make a flat d20 stealth check.
You'll be encumbered and will have to move at a slow pace if you take all the crates and barrels. Or even some of them.
RL gets an annoyed look on his face, he approaches Esa and whispers, 'Esa I thought you would have found the door before you get the room so crowded with all these people, how are you going to search with the room full?'
RL taps Esa on the head and casts guidance
RL will take some of the oil, blankets, crates of food and pile them next to the stairs and dribble some of the oil over the top of the whole thing. We may need their attention elsewhere once we are outside.
Esa looks annoyed. "I misunderstood. It happens to even the smartest amongst us."
