Grimbald pulls out a 3 foot rope and casts Rope Trick, Bonus action Hunters Mark on the floating creature and climbs up into the extra-dimensional space and invites others to join, shoot and hide.
Grimbald casts Rope Trick, then as he looks at the creature to cast hunter's mark on it the big eye looks back at him and it feels like he is trapped by that eye, it sees all and he is being pinned like a bug. He just wants the eye to stop looking at him, it makes him feel sick and weak.
Grimbald must make a DC14 Wisdom Save or be stunned until the start of his next turn.
While the big eye is looking at Grimbald, Vakiel takes the opportunity to close with the creature and slashes at it once, then a second time, scoring hits both times. Great slashes appear in the creature and more of that greenish-black blood spills out onto the floor.
One of the other smaller eyes swings around at Vakiel and targets him with a misty grey ray, which envelopes the barbarian.
Vakiel must make a a DC 14 Constitution saving throw or be paralyzed for 1 minute. Vakiel can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of his turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
DM Note: The first time it is bloodied the creature can shoot an eye ray as a reaction.
Everyone makes their saves. Carry on! Grimbald is up into the extradimensional space 10ft off the floor, going into the ceiling. Vakiel's rage helps him shake off the paralysing effects of the eye ray.
The floating creature gives hisses from its mouths and bizarrely, its wounds. Eyes on tentacles or pseudopods fixate on its tormentors. As RL and Grimbald are in total cover they cannot be targeted.
The first eye ray fires at Augustin, first like a wide cone, then the purple ray narrows, trying to focus on Augustin'sHunter's Horn. Augustin must make a DC14 Dex save or the creature will drain the horn of power, rendering it unusable for a time.
The second eye ray shoots out orange and yellow fire at Esa. She makes a DC14 Dex save or will take 17 fire damage. Esa's dex save - 19.
The third eye ray shoots at Vakiel. It is a greenish colour and envelops Vakiel who feels suddenly sleepy. The barbarian must succeed on a DC 14 Wisdom saving throw or fall asleep and remain unconscious for 1 minute. Vakiel awakens if he takes damage or another creature takes an action to wake him.
The creature on the ceiling , looking like it some kind of demonic undead or something, screams and draws a long blade. It leaps along the ceiling until it can drop on Augustin. It's red eyes burn into the paladin's and it lashes out at him with its smoking clawed hand and the long knife (counts as a shortsword).
Long knife attack: 26 Damage: 7.
Smoking claw attack: Attack: 20 Damage: 9, plus 4 necrotic damage and Augustin's hit point maximum is reduced by an amount equal to the necrotic damage taken. This lasts until he has a long rest.
Augustin shrugs off the weak little attacks from the gremlin thing. He would like to try and take out his sceptre and just beat this thing into oblivion.
bonus action searing smite followed by two attacks. Crits will get a first level divine smite.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Vakiel flops dramatically to the ground, his black greatsword falls from his relaxed fingers, clanging on the flagstones.
Grimbald leans out of his hole in the ceiling, but has to contend with the biggest eye looking at him. Grimbald must make a DC14 Wisdom Save before he can fire off his two hand crossbow shots. If he fails he is stunned until the start of his next turn.
Augustin draws his Red Sceptre and swings at the humanoid creature in front of him.
RL will move up to Vakiel without getting in melee with enemies, give him a shake on the shoulder and say wakey wakey sleepy head's. Then step back to climb the 3ft of rope to join Grimbald.
Even doing a 10ft rope trick is not really what the description of the spell says, so if I'm going to allow it then the 60ft rope needs to be perpendicular to the ground and 50ft of the rope is inside the perpendicular space but it's going to be 10ft off the ground.
At this point Grimbald is leaning out of the hole ready to take a shot and is stunned by the floating eye monster's ability. He collapses and stops holding onto the edge of the extradimensional space (probably with his legs) and falls out of the space to the ground at the bottom of the rope, taking 2 falling damage. He remains stunned until the start of his next turn.

RL's summoned owl will take off from his shoulder and fly around to attack the creature from behind (flyby)
Attack: 22 Damage: 10
[Deleted post]. We just realised the owl would have disappeared after RL cast faerie fire as both that and summon beast are concentration spells.

Vakiel is going to rage (after seemingly walking around in a daze, un participatory) and move up to the multi-eyed monster.
if all goes well approaching it, he’ll slash and imbue divine fury

Grimbald Wisdom save 22
Vakiel cons save 16
Everyone makes their saves. Carry on! Grimbald is up into the extradimensional space 10ft off the floor, going into the ceiling. Vakiel's rage helps him shake off the paralysing effects of the eye ray.
The floating creature gives hisses from its mouths and bizarrely, its wounds. Eyes on tentacles or pseudopods fixate on its tormentors. As RL and Grimbald are in total cover they cannot be targeted.
The first eye ray fires at Augustin, first like a wide cone, then the purple ray narrows, trying to focus on Augustin's Hunter's Horn. Augustin must make a DC14 Dex save or the creature will drain the horn of power, rendering it unusable for a time.

Augustin made his save (got a 19 on the D&D Beyond campaign app). He quickly sidesteps the ray and turns towards his new foe.
Dex save made for 19 (see app).
Augustin shrugs off the weak little attacks from the gremlin thing. He would like to try and take out his sceptre and just beat this thing into oblivion.

I don't think you can do a 3ft Rope Trick.
