RL casts detect magic ritually, and finds only one specific magical effect going on that his spell will detect. Vakiel appears to be under the influence of some kind of a charm effect. RL knows that desecration is a different effect, usually from the strong presence of undead, and isn't usually detected by a detect magic spell but is noticed through detect evil and good spell. This one is so strong that it was noted by the paladin and fairie in the party.
The party carefully approaches the ruins of the manor. It seems there is little left except the multi-levelled tower, and even that is in poor condition. Although the tower was apparently originally built from dressed stone, the long years and encroaching forest have not been kind to its walls. Most of the stone that once made up the tower is crumbling or completely collapsed. If they haven’t been completely consumed by creepers and topsoil, most of the tower’s floors are shattered and hardly recognizable. As the party approach, the sobbing sometimes subsides and then starts again. The courtyard is overgrown, and two other buildings - other than the tower - are in severe disrepair.
Vakiel looks at the GoodBerry Grimbald gave him and wonder if it would help the crying lady. As they approach the tower, each time the sobbing rises Vakiels body leans in the general direction of the noise - wanting to help.

RL looks dubiously at the array of disgusting metal objects arrayed on Augustin and a shiver runs down his back as he imagines the resources from nature used to manufacture such items
His mind reaches out to Fael. "Are you nearby, we have rare game to hunt. Find me." and provides directions to where he is at
Fael is not far away. He runs freely, one with the world. The dire wolf has fed recently and is feeling strong. He misses his pack but the bond to Augustin is stronger.
Augustin feels Fael's dislike of the land around the manor, and would have avoided it if left to his own decisions. However he trots up and headbutts Augustin affectionately.
The party will have to get closer and go into the courtyard to find out where the crying is coming from. Weirdly it hasn't gotten any louder from you getting closer now, in fact it seems softer now, but definitely coming from the ruins. And it is intermittent. The weeping stops for a while, then starts up again.

Augustin wanders through the middle. He is almost oblivious to the need to be stealthy at this point. and looks to be gaining his bearings within the structure. He clutches his Red Sceptre in one hand and the shield in the other. Keeping an eye out on his surroundings he and Fael look, listen (and smell) for anything disturbing the surroundings that isnt the party.

Out loud, to both the party and no one in particular at the same time "We should clear these outer buildings, If we head into this main keep I would rather know what sneaks up behind us?" Try and stay in insight and travel in pairs. Shout if you need anything." Fael moves to approx 10 feet to one side of Augustin trying to maintain that distance between a building and Augustin as they move through.

If Vakiel does anything sketchy. Augustin will just grab him and slap some sense into him (unarmed strike). But until he does…
