Esa suggests that she enters the chamber first, maybe with Owl, so she can inspect the eggs. If they are close to maturity, smashing them may cause them to hatch and attack. If they are newer, smashing them will be easier and less risky, thus allowing us to preserve fire

RL things there were already some larvae from when the owl was in there last time. RL is happy to summon an owl to go in with Esa
Esa and the owl spirit familiar fly into the egg chamber, the only light is from Esa's torch which flies with her using her mage hand.
Bluey-green eggs litter the room. Some are hatched, others are intact. Larvae crawl bout feeding on nearby fungus and the remains of a cow. Esa sees with some horror that some larvae chewing on an old backpack. Some of it has already been chewed away, and they have started chewing on scrolls and books inside. There are more larvae here now than when the owl went through the first time, so some more of the eggs have hatched.

Esa, can I cast thunder wave here or will it bring it all down on our heads?
Esa spies the scrolls, her eyes hungrily boring holes into them. Suddenly, she tosses the torch towards the back of the chamber, instead directing her Mage Hand to grab the scrolls and pull them high into the air, away from the larvae.
As soon as she has them, she speeds out of the chamber. She tosses them to Vakiel and instructs, "Get these to Augustin. Tell him to guard them with his life."
She then turns back to RL sheepishly and says "That had to be done. Light it up. With the larvae already on the move, bring the whole chamber down if you have to. Everyone else just be ready to run"

RL casts [Tooltip Not Found]. Con save DC 14 10 everything in 15ft cone out from RL who will locate to get as much of the room as he can.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
RL steps forward 5ft into the room, squashing some of the larvae that are coming towards him. The creatures spurt out acid from their squashed bodies and RL hurredly wipes his boots to stop the acid eating into them. He casts thunderwave and positions it to affect everything in the cavern. Things go flying - larvae, fungus, dirt, rocks towards the back wall. All the larvae are killed by the blast.
Cracks appear in the ceiling and then the dirt roof caves in. The room is completely entombed with dirt, roots, and rocks. You cannot get through that way now. A dust cloud billows over Esa, Grimbald, RL, and the spirit owl. Vakiel is taking the scrolls to Augustin and hears the BOOM! and the sound of collapsing rock and dirt.
Up above Augustin also hears the BOOM and sees a section of ground sink down. He figures there's been a collapse in the tunnels.
With a bit of digging under a rock wedged against a wall off to the side you can make a space for a pixie-sized hole to go through. You can't make it wider without risk of collapse.
Hearing the collapse and Esa’s statement, Vakiel will throw the scrolls at Augustin (not aggressively- just in a hurry!) and rush back to the others. Arriving he’ll shake his head and reconsider leaving these small folk unattended in the future…yet again.
Are we just going to burn the eggs?
That was RL's plan, anyone have any other ideas. I guess we could smash them as another option.

Random roll for nothing in particular. 26

Esa, knowing Augustin and Vakiel are likely to panic, calls out loudly, "WE LIVE!"
RL giggles, I've never brought the house down before
I guess that just leaves the sleeping room, not too keen to go through the mites in the moulting room
Grimbald thinks the trouble might come to us now perception check 13
Esa would like to investigate the caved in area, see if there's a small gap anywhere that she can either peer through or climb through.
Investigation: 15
RL can burn another wild shape to become a spider or scorpion if a gap is found and its too small for Esa

Grimbald is satisfied that nothing is coming towards the party. That he can detect anyway.
Esa will squeeze through the gap and into the room. If it's dark, she will pull out one of her matchstick torches and light it.
