Kathrid nods. "I was saving this armour for someone, but to have two sets of heavy armour would be great. It's a deal."
After collecting the sets of chainmail from the manor she takes you to her workshop and gets the splint armour, helm, and passes it to Augustin, and takes his armour and the hobgoblin armour in exchange.
Augustin is tall, but the armour fits, albeit snugly.
If anyone wants to do anything in Albridge, get any more gear, talk to someone, or seek info, then let me know. Otherwise we'll head off to Toadwallow Caverns.
Hey Rick, the 10 gold I have left from character creation, would that be worth 10 silver in current world, do I just convert everything in the equipment list to silver? thanks

Augustin says to Kathrid "Make sure you hold onto that, its important and I will be back for it. This just happens to be more practical currently." If theres anything you need help with to ensure its safekeeping. I would be happy to oblige.

10 silver. If it's worth 1gp in PHB then it's 1sp in Nentir Vale. With the exception of magic items, including magic armour/weapons, they retain their gold value.
Also everything at the moment in the current economic climate is double cost of PHB. This can change as the prosperity level changes in the Nentir Vale.

Thanks, think I will save my money for now depending on if we have to buy rations to get to the caverns?

If you don't have any rations you should get some. Remember double cost, but copper. So will cost 1sp or 10cp for 1 day's rations. It's an overnight journey to the Toadwallow caverns.

Does a druid focus mitigate the need for material components that are not consumed? otherwise Stryke will find some mistletoe as well for GoodBerry, which should mitigate the need for food
Vakiel would like to talk to Adalbar and Madera about the Iron Circle takeovers they are aware of. Seeking possible names that might mean something to him.
Grimbald "I like to take my time observing an enemy, days in fact, before I do anything. But we dont seem to have that time, what do we know about Bullywugs? how do they fight? do they work in scurries? Are they poisonous if you lick them?, Do they speak common tongue? IS the Bullywog leader worth more to us dead or alive?
After, Grimbald will climb the same tree to do an inventory check of his possessions. He decides to trade the heavy crowbar, and 3rd handaxe. He is looking for another flask of oil, and recommends others carry some. IF they are not too expensive, he will look for caltrops, a net and some chalk. He will also stock up on Mistletoe whenever he gets the chance. The net he plans to use to capture a bullywug leader if possible.
You spend one more night at Albridge. There was a skirmish during the night when Iron Circle troops tested out the defences on the bridge. Erst the Wainwright's house on the wrong side of the river (#2 on the Albridge map) was set on fire and was burned to the ground. Erst and his family were at Gremath Stables in expectation of such an event, but he lost his tools and wood stock as well as his family home. The skirmish was over by the time the party and off duty troops were roused and arrived. The only casualties were drakes, ugly human sized lizards, that charged at the barrier on the bridge and were slaughtered by the guards crossbow bolts or, in one case, on the guards spears. The party went back to their long rest.

The party board a small keelboat belonging to the Reedfoot halflings. The boat is moving with the slow current and takes most of the day to get to the disembarkation point. The day is warm but not hot, with only a few clouds. The party see fish and waterbirds, completely unconcerned with the war of "intelligent" races. The halflings are friendly and generous, as well as food and drink you are offered a pipe of halfling pipeweed. Those that partake feel calm and a little light-headed for an hour or so. The captain, Sandy Reedfoot growls at his snickering crew and forbids them from offering you any more pipeweed. Two young halfling boys named Nobby and Tug ply the party with endless questions, as only the young can, about being a delver and if you were afraid and why are you acting like a squirrel and can you shift one more time pleeeeeaaase, and so on.
Finally, as the sun is low in the sky, the captain steers the keelboat to the bank. This is as close as they dare go to Toadwallow caverns. They will wait here for two days and leave if the party do not return. Toadwallow Caverns is an hour away and the party will find them by following the river.
The choice is heading to the Toadwallows now and arrive in darkness, or rest and go at first light.

I will also collect fireflies in the evening
Adalbar and Madera only know about Nazin Redthorn, the leader. Vakiel knows him. Well.
it sounds like its a cavern anyway so its probably going to be dark inside, unless there is an exhaustion penalty I say go straight away before we re discovered.

There's no caltrops to be found but you can find the oil (2 copper), net (2 silver), and chalk (2 iron bits). Or trade for the crowbar and handaxe.
