I think the plan of heading due west is still applicable. Perhaps head due west across the plains until we reconnect with the path.
During the travel, Elsara will happily talk with Runt and Hunin, their new companions, about how they originally took on a quest from the town to eradicate the goblin threat. They went and attacked the Evans Clan stronghold, but managed to call a ceasefire and make a peace treaty between them and the town, at least that was the idea until they saw how things had progressed up to that point.
Runt is not so good with the maps. She will take what ever the group feels is best. She Asks questions to Elsara to try and familiarize herself with the group and their adventure so far.

Runt, the Stormchosen: Half-Orc barbarian level 5 -- The Guild
(Elsara can feel free to describe the events as she pleases. For the sake of convenience, here's a super abridged summery of what's happened so far. If I missed something that you guys think is important, feel free to post about it.)
The first mission was to Camenose, the village you just left. Goblins attacked a woodcutter's house while he was away and kidnapped his daughter. On the way there, the party met the allegedly kidnapped daughter. It was revealed that she ran away with her boyfriend since her dad disliked him and the goblins actually attacked after they left, leaving the dad to think it was all goblins. The party bring the daughter back and then go after the goblins. After killing like 70% of them, they make a treaty with their leader so that the goblins can get small work and buy and sell stuff in Camenose. Mission Complete.
The second mission about finding out what creature has been killing a middle aged woman's sheep every night. After getting a lift from the Guild's Pegasus Mobile, they go to Moonglow forest where the woman lives. At night, Val acts as bait by turning into a sheep while the other PCs stay hidden and ready an ambush. A golden furred, fox-man-hybrid shows up and attacks Val. After chasing the thing around the place, it takes enough damage and turns back into the woman that hired them. While they were questioning her on her affliction, she explodes... literally.
On the way back they get attacked by bandits and almost get bodied. After that, a plague doctor named Elyza shows up at the Guild to hire an escort party. They PCs take her to Moonglow to gather moss and then they head back to Camenose. They learn about guys in darkmasks attacking the now friendly goblins and capture their leader. Then they discuss whether they should leave immediately or if they should eat breakfast first. That's when Runt shows up and now we are where we are.
I propose we take the following route back to the Guild. It allows us to cover a little more ground that we haven't yet explored while also taking a fairly direct route.
Summer 38 Time: 9:00 AM Position: Vandanore Row-1 Col-10
You walk along the lightly grassy area of Vandanore. (Yes everyone gets the benefit of long rest) During the times you take rest, Elsara reads the book on medicine and practices her sword play with Riley's Spirit (Correct me if that's not what your character would do). Runt gets to know the others. Gendan's itchy for a fight. You guys also notice a few nests for snakes and spiders. Some of the larger nests seem to have bits of metal in them. Strange. Maybe they got it from fallen adventurer's?
While walking, you see something large coming at you from a distance. It seems to have many winds and many legs and it has unbelievable speed. You think if it's some kind of strange monster you've never seen before but as it gets closer, you realize it's the Pegasus Carriage that the Guild gave you a lift on. It lands close to you and Ian gets out of the pilot seat. He greets all of you as he opens the carriage door and a gnomish girl gets off. The girl is attractive looking (Beauty is subjective so when I say someone is attractive, I mean that they are considered such by the general public) with fair skin and long golden hair. Her eyes are purple. Is that normal for gnomes? Hard to say, since they all live in isolated societies in the wild. She stands 4 ft tall. Ian says, "This is Mimzy, our newest member of the Guild. In Ms. Darkwing's own words, "The half orc and the gnome may have similar experience in the wild (Both are level 2) but the little girl here is of the much squishier variety of adventurer. Ian, you better take her to the others. Oh and take the Pegasus Carriage. I need you back here before night fall so you can cook us dinner." So here she is. good luck on your adventures." Ian hops back on to the carriage and takes off toward the Guild.
(You can ask him to give you a lift but it would just mean no more exploring)
Also, please state what your characters usually do when they set up camp (besides sleeping and taking watch). Like I'm assuming Elsara practices her blade skills and also reads the Plague Doctor's Encyclopedia.

She was brought up by a librarian so spent a lot of her time in the grand library there, getting to see all of the wonders that literature can bring. She didn't know any of the others before deciding to head out for adventure, to make her own stories and become a great hero, like her parents.
She also explains how Gen and Val seemed to join The Guild around the same time as her, as well as the others who have gone their separate ways now. She tells how she admires Val like a big brother, as he is wise and quite knowledgeable in the areas she is not, and how Gen is her favourite sparring partner as she is a great swordswoman and a skilled fighter, almost like she is a teacher to her.
During her times when she isn't trancing or on watch (usually using alarm spells around the sides of the camp as they setup for the evening), she usually winds down an evening with a bit of practice between her blades, going through slow and graceful movements to become more attuned to the blades and practice handling their weight. She then spends some time sitting beside Twinkle Snow, reading her newly given book, attempting to spot out any of the old mistakes so she can amend them when she gets back and has access to her extra writing materials. She then remembers she has a couple of scrolls to write and send away to her friends, putting that more on a priority than her errata of the tome.

As Ian opens up the coach, she waves to him, asking how he is. She'll then wander up to Mimzy, offering a handshake. "Hi there, my name's Elsara Deepmoon. It's a pleasure to meet you." The young high elf says with an energetic tone.

Mimzy cringes at the use of the word 'squishy' and gives a haughty eye-roll in response but does not say a word as her bright violet eyes carefully study and appraise those standing around with detached curiosity.
Elsara wanders up to Mimzy, offering a handshake. "Hi there, my name's Elsara Deepmoon. It's a pleasure to meet you." The young high elf says with an energetic tone.
Mimzy favoring the company of Elves seems to lighten up at the sight of Elsara trying very hard to overlook the Elf-maids' rather common looking rugged and rustic attire. The golden-haired Gnome looks curiously at the offered hand and seems to hesitate for a moment before slowly reaching out to reluctantly shake it. "Hello Elsara, my but you are very beautiful if somewhat rough around the edges. Perhaps a little dated and understated but I am sure I can help you to fix that if you like, fashion is my passion as I like to say." She offers a genuine smile to Elsara at that point.
The violet-eyed Gnome, however, turns her gaze to Elsara's belt and wrinkles her nose in disdain at the sight of all the weapons she carries. Mimzy herself does not carry any weapons at all, not a one, the closest thing to a weapon she appears to have is a small utility knife... useless in a fight, not that Mimzy much looks like the type that does much fighting. A small Gnome-sized well-crafted lute of an archaic and unusual Fey design is however slung over her shoulder next to her pack with her gear inside a sign of the Gnomish girl's fondness for music and song...

Mimzy seems not to like chores or manual labor so will take great pains and work very hard to avoid work somehow disappearing when there is work to be done, especially when it is her turn to do something. Otherwise, the Gnome enjoys nature and skilled in herbalism she often takes walks to enjoy the scenery but also to collect wild plants and herbs with medicinal and other properties that may come in handy. As well Mimzy being a strict vegetarian she enjoys gathering whenever she is able in regards to edible goodies like wild fruits, berries, nuts, and mushrooms, etc. while she is out in nature or on one of her nature walks. Mostly Mimzy enjoys reading... favoring romantic adventure stories and the like as well as playing her lute and singing as she imagines herself a famous and popular bard with throngs of adoring fans.
Mimzy favors beautifully haunting songs likes this... as the type of songs she can be heard singing!
So what will you guys be doing? Will you be carrying on on foot? Asking for a lift? Or going into the literal snake's den to find where the metal bits came from.
Well Elsara still have the horse and cart, so still travelling by land. If others wanted to catch a lift with Ian in the pegasus coach, they could do so.
Elsara will look to Val when he returns. "Now I'm not an expert, but I didn't think snakes used metal implements. Well, unless they're a snake-person of some sort. Do you want to check it out?"
Here’s a short description of Gendan: Gendan comes across as a cold personality. Her half-elf stature is slight and she wears a cloak over heavy armor. She has bright red hair that flicks out of her hood and empty black eyes.
“Yeah, it seems odd. Val, did you notice anything on your hunt.”
Valwarin returns to the campment in wolf form, a white wolf, dragging a goat in his jaws but when he sees there is a newcomer in the camp he drops the goat and wlaks towards him, sniffing around the gnome, then he turns back to his tall and slender elf form, wearing the green leather armor, trousers and boots. With his antler diadem keeping his blonde hair back.
"Greetings we do not know each other yet. I am Valwarin Omaren, Druid of the Old Fate. "
he then listen to Elsara
"I would like to take a look yes, why not? seems odd enough"
"Oh, this is Miss Mimzy." Elsara introduces the pair. "Ian came along and dropped her off to join us. Miss Mimzy, this is Val, he's, well, already introduced himself."
Mimzy looks at the dead bloody goat wrinkling up her tiny nose in disgust and moves back away from the poor unfortunate lifeless beast. That is the nature of things, to kill and be killed, to eat and be eaten but Mimzy prefers not to eat of the flesh animals herself but she does respect and honors the circle and those tied to the circle. When the white wolf turns into a tall sender Elf... Mimzy offers him a respectful and polite bow as he introduces himself. Mimzy with a passive face merely looks up at him and simply responds, "I am called Mimzy," but offers no more information about herself other than her name. Mimzy then takes a seat on a nearby rock, waiting for the group to decide where to and what next.

Alright, you guys enter the snake's den. As far as nests go it's pretty straight forward. After going a bit further, you notice two large snakes and a swarm of smaller snakes. You've encountered 2 Giant Poisonous Snakes and 1 Swarm of Poisonous Snakes.
As you know, I like to have everyone roll initiative whenever there's a possibility of battle. Roll Initiative in case battle breaks out.
The sneaks hiss at you but don't move forward, They are about 60ft away and they are standing in front of a wall. They seem to be defending their nest from you.

"Uhh, Val? Think you can use any of your abilities to tell them we're not here to hurt them and just want to investigate the strange bits of metal?" Elsara doesn't draw a weapon yet, preferring not to have to attack the snakes unless provoked.
