Gridolpho provocation pulled the pirates into action and soon the observation devolved into battle. Emrys considered to shout that guards were coming or maybe to try and rally the other patrons, revealing the criminal nature of the enemies. A warm energy pulsed trough his body as Sayyida casted a spell. Now word about us is sure to reach the Captain.
“Remember that I need you in one piece to keep the cargo!” He jumped from his seat, noticing the Tiefling using a spell that he knew all too well. “Do not attack Horny at melee.”
I need to work on my puns, the warlock admitted, getting his arcane focus out. It was a single stick, dead pale and undecorated. An unimpressive piece of driftwood. His eyes became dark like a moonless night and with a wave of his hand a black mist raised from the Tiefling’s shadow, attaching itself to his body. Hex marked its target.
“Two can play your game.” Emrys said focusing arcane energy on his hand, then channeling it through the rod. A crackling bolt of pure force unleashed after the whisper of an incomprehensible word, seeking the enemy.
There was another thing there. The warm energy from before seemed to strengthen the strike, but the halfling did not wait to see the result of his attack, diving under the window with the objective of getting as much cover as possible.
Notes: Emrys uses his bonus action to cast Hex (extra 5 necrotic damage) on the Tiefling, then spends his action to cast Eldritch Blast (12 +4 [Bless] to hit, 10 Force Damage) against the Tiefling. All damage non-lethal, if possible. Finally he moves as much as necessary to duck under the window (get cover). Initiative for round 2 onward = 10 (all rolls made on the campaign log).
Jack, realizing that he's probably going to die if he doesn't get out fast, casts misty step to escape 'Naut's gasp, turning the gust of wind towards the plasmoid to prevent them from following (Strength save from 'Naut, please). Jack then casts ray of frost at 'Naut as well.
Ray of Frost: 9 Damage: 5
Areleo's first attack goes wide, but the second hits true. The crewman gasps in pain, reeling from the powerful blow! It doesn't look like he can take much more...
'Naut is up, then Gridolpho (since Areleo took his turn already).

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
(the effect of bless doesn't change the outcome of Areleo's attacks; attack 1 was still an auto-miss because of a nat 1 and attack 2 still hit)
Emrys' attack hits true, guided by Sayyida's divine spell. Slim cries out in pain and rage as his icy shell shatters and the halfling warlock's curse causes a grotesque rot to infest his wounds. He doesn't look like he can take much more.

The pirates' blows clang off of 'Naut's armor, the towering deep one hardly giving them notice. They move around the pirate near them, keeping him within range, while loading the vial of liquid they poured out into a mechanism in their suit's hand. They line up that pirate and Jack, and a low pulse is heard as the pressure builds inside of the mechanism, sending it flying out towards both the pirate and Jack.
(Casting catapult on the vial of acid they created with their alchemy jug earlier. If the first pirate succeeds on the dex save, it will continue sailing towards Jack, forcing him to make the save as well. DC 13 dex or 13 bludgeoning and 5 acid as assumedly the force of the impact is enough to shatter the vial.)

(I actually didn't catch that bit about Gust of Wind needing a bonus action to change direction... whoops)
So never mind, Jack doesn't actually use Gust of Wind to blast 'Naut. Instead, he just shoots a ray of frost at 'Naut (which bounces off the plasmoid's armor doing no damage whatsoever) and then uses his movement to get as far away as he can.

Both the pirates dodge the projectile. The bottle shatters on the wall behind Jack. A pungent odor and a hiss fill the air as the liquid begins to eat through the brick and mortar of the building.

Gridolpho's blade strikes true! The rapier sinks into the man's flesh almost up to the hilt, and he goes down, gurgling and coughing blood... unless the man dies a horrible death there in the street (unless someone wants to intervene before he expires).
Crewman 2 sees what happened to his co-worker and draws a pistol out of his coat, which he fires at the rogue.
Attack: 20 Damage: 7
He then attempts to strike 'Naut with his mace.
Attack: 5 Damage: 6
I believe Emrys already took his turn to clear out Slim's temp HP, so Sayyida is up!

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Sayyida swore to herself, things had truly gone to shit.....about there only bet now was to kill all of these pirates so that the enemies crew would be reduced and they'd have more reason to take on replacements even if they almost certainly suspected them of being the ones who killed their crewmates.....too bad she'd acrually quite liked their first plan. But now she got to do her favourite thing, slaughter pirates.
She ran out of the doorway straight towards the closest enemy drawing her family blade, and slashed at their face...then Dashed towards the next closest.

A very unfortunate pirate warlock is hit hard by Sayyida's scimitar... which very nearly decapitates the tiefling. He lies gurgling, holding his cut throat with one hand, but it's no use. In a few seconds he lays still. Meanwhile, Sayyida, with the aid of magic, dashes towards the remaining human who just shot Gridolpho and has been fruitlessly banging at 'Naut's near-impervious shell.
Merigar uses his movement to get into position, then he mutters an incantation to launch a fire bolt at Jack.
Attack: 12 Damage: 2
Slim is dead, so back to the top of the round!

The bolt of flame singes Jack, but only does superficial damage. The gnome, realizing just how bad his situation is, decides to cut his losses and make a run for it. He takes the Dash action to disappear into an alley and, more likely than not, into one of the shops or taverns to disappear among the early-morning patrons. It's highly unlikely that you will be able to find him before your appointment with the Admiral.
'Naut, Arleo, and Gridolpho are up!
