"Then I think it's settled on where we're going," Rash says in agreement with the others. "If we're expecting a swarm of goblins, we should try to find somewhere to bottleneck them so they can't all attack us at once."

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
Resume the path, determined to explore the southern slopes of the hill you see to the south. To get closer, you take advantage of the flat stretch you have just discovered and, having crossed a short stretch of dense bare forest, you begin to carefully check the area of your interest.
Careful as you are at goblin ambushes, you are not surprised in the least by the goblin you meet, after about 20 minutes of travel, in the area where I moved the P.
For Rash and Spira:
You immediately notice some details... This goblin seems to have suffered hardships, he's dirty and unkempt (even for a goblin), he doesn't feel at all at ease... Perhaps, he's even a lone goblin...although lone goblins are quite rare — and often don't survive long.
The goblin also notices you, when you are about 60 'away, and he would appear to be about to flee...

Not wanting to take the risk of the goblin leading them into an ambush, Obadiah simply calls out to him in the creature's own tongue. "Greetings, we come in peace, searching for an arch in these hills, maybe we can help each other out?"
Persuasion: 6 Another roll if help action is provided: 18
The goblin had already practically turned his back to flee, when Obadiah speaks and... the little creature, at the sound of her own tongue, stops, turns its head, doubtful, for a moment... looks at the white haired man closely... sees that he is not doing hostile acts, he sees that he still has a good margin to escape in case of need... and stops.
"An... arch?" he repeats, as if he wasn't sure he got it right "In the hills? But why in the hills? Not better to look in a big city? No one should look for arches in the hills... I mean, everyone knows there are no arches, in the hills, right?"
Then, after a long esitation: "What would you do in the place with the arch, anyway?"
(OOC: Note to other players: Obadiah and the goblin are speaking in goblin language... so if you don't know this language you have no idea what the two are saying)
Aidwyn looks at Obadiah in disbelief. Was he speaking the tongue of the goblin? Couldn’t he just said he knew it before? Granted the white haired man doesn’t speak much but… she shrugged mentally and says nothing. After all he has the little creature talking, perhaps they could learn something after all.
She keeps her hands low trying not to make any sudden movements that could scare the goblin but she keeps an eye out in case this is an ambush of the little pests.
"We seek to find the means to help someone, we will find it at that arch, if you can help us you will be rewarded."The white-haired warrior calls back, standing still with his arms outstretched in a sign of peace.
The goblin stares at you suspiciously for a while, then: "Deal! You give Wumgu directions to the goblin tribe. Then Wumgu gives you directions to the beatiful den with an arch at the entrance. But Wumgu does not come near. Wumgu doesn't trust those who look for the Zhentarim".
"Tell me first the color of the arch you talk about so that I know it's the one we're looking for and then I will give you the directions to the closest goblin tribe."The white-haired warrior continues with a firm but still polite tone, not fully trusting the goblin, in fact he is fairly sure the goblin would say anything to get the directions he wanted. "Also, why do you say we are looking for the Zhentarim, are they present at the arch?"He adds after a moment. Obadiah had heard about that ruthless organization, having no significant presence where he came from but there were talk about them recruiting mercenaries and caravan guards for their dark trade. They would be dealt with too, one way or another.
"You don't fool Wumgu!" says the goblin "Why would you head to the beautiful den, if not for the Zhentarim who occupied it? Anyway the entrance of the beautiful den consists of an arch of stone that is mostly white - but now dirty because of mud and comoufage".
"You give Wumgu directions now!" Wumgu smiles with anticipation.
"Believe what you want Wumgu."Obadiah says with shrug a friendly smile. "Now tell us about these Zhentarim, their numbers and what they do there and you'll have the location of that goblin tribe."

"Wait a minute.," says Spira in Goblin, lowering her crossbow. "We need to know we can trust you too, that you won't tell us directions that will lead us into an ambush. Why did you say you don't trust those who look for the Zhentarim? Are you against them, or protecting them?"

"Hey! That was not the deal!" the goblin protests "Wumgu told you arch color, now you give me directions to goblin tribe! You must not cheat! Goblins cheat, not you! You can't be more goblin than a goblin! You give me directions first, then Wumgu gives you directions!"
"Informations about the Zhentarim you also ask?" Wumgu wonders "And you" to Spira "want to know if Wumgu is ally or enemy of the Zhentarim? Tell me that you first! Are you ally or enemy of them?"
For Spira:
From how he pronunced 'ally' or 'enemy' of the Zhentarim, you'd bet the goblin would be much more happy if you were enemies of them.
The white-haired warrior gives the short tiefling woman a sideway glance as she comes up to join the conversation. "Listen Wumgu, we are not allies of the Zhentarim, why would we ask about their numbers if we were, just tell us about them now, you have no reason not to." Obadiah presses on impatiently while motioning for the tiefling to not interject again. The goblin apparently knew about the place they were looking for, and in some detail too as he knew there were Zhentarim there, and he sincerely seemed to look for a new tribe to join so there was no reason to think he was about to send them into an ambush.

"Well, Zhentarim hurt the one we're trying to help, so they're enemies. Sounds like you don't like them much either." Spira thinks a moment. "Tell you what. If you guide us to the Zhentarim den with the arch that used to be white, secretly enough that we can sneak up on them, then we'll guide you to the goblin tribe. You'll be safer traveling with us, and we can share our food."

"Sad, sad story that of Wumgu. Beautiful at the beginning. Muku tribe (my tribe - our chief was Muku) had found a beautiful abandoned den. Comfortable, hidden, with carved stone walls... More beautiful den that Wumgu had ever seen. But one bad day, three months ago, the Zhentarim arrived. They attacked us without parleying, immediately starting to kill anyone who came within range. They were mean and ruthless as we usually are! But stronger. Their leader, the half-orc with a battle-axe and a winged serpent coiled around his arm, was exalted and seemed unstoppable. And he had more than ten humans at his conmand. Only I managed to escape. The others… males, females, children… all dead. I don't know what they wanted. Why they killed us all. Whoever does that often wants to steal our treasure. But we had very little... And anyway they never left. I tried to go back to the area every now and then, to see if I could find other survivors like me..." his eyes become veiled with tears "But there aren't. I'm the only one left. The last of Mukus. That's why it was so important, for me, to find a new tribe... And those bastards... They're always there. The beautiful den. They settled down there".

The Zhentarim invaded us from the main entrance, not from that secondary... so maybe they don't know it. You might take them by surprise. And then... kill them all, no mercy! Like they had none for us!"

The white-haired warrior stops briefly and nods grimly at Roxana, then leading the team on southwards (towards hill 4) still wary of goblin ambushes.
Aidwyn simply nods and follow the others
