Spira smiles. "Unless something is absolute anathema to my faith, I try to follow the wishes of anyone I conduct a ceremony for. If you think cremation would be most appropriate, I'm fine with that. We could do it the last thing before we leave; I'll just need a few minutes to prepare." If no one objects, she returns to the hall where the bodies are and begins to do that, cleaning the bodies and concealing the worst of the damage as best she can. This done, she will ask Gaer for help moving them on improvised pallets to just beside the trap Ardjena mentioned.
As they are moving the bodies, she whispers to her brother, "There was another reason I wanted to do this last thing, of course, though we don't need to distress anyone else mentioning it. If there's any smoke ... " She says no more, nor does she need to.
Obviously no one disturbs the preparation of the cremation... what could be left, by now, in the meanders of the forgotten dungeon, that could disturb? Then the five bodies are prepared, in the immediate vicinity of the apparently useless dead end which is located in front of the double door which, if opened, unleashes a strong wind.
"Five?!" Ardjena marvels, once she realizes the actual number "Maybe then someone else, somehow, survived... There should have been six... Besides me, there were four elite guards and two apprentices ...Or perhaps the missing body is simply abandoned elsewhere. Or disintegrated" she shrugs. "I don't think we can do anything about it... We've looked everywhere down here".
The young, carrot-haired girl carefully pushes the first body just inside the dead end - the one in which the frightened Spira was about to end up, pushed by the wind, before Solitude 'tackled' her at the last moment. While the apprentice, who has stood ready, quickly withdraws her hands, a roaring curtain of flames immediately rises up, like a new wall, transforming the dead end into a sort of oven and starting to quickly consume the dead corpse. The magical fire does not give off heat, in your direction - but evidently towards the inside of the dead end it does! The other bodies soon follow the first and are consumed one after the other, emitting thick smoke and unpleasant odors.
"After all, perhaps burial would have been better..." Ardjena covers her nose with part of her robe, but you are still all ready to return to Level 1 and the horses with your load of finds.
The young, carrot-colored haired girl can't hold back a sad smile when, before going up the stairs to Level 1, Elky appears as usual to give his welcome speech. “And after all the trouble he went to to leave his mark on the world…” she says, probably to no one in particular “here is all that remains of all Master Kylth's work… An illusion. Just one last illusion".
The horses are still where you left them... Ardjena is not particularly heavy, so she could ride with Spira (if the other pairs of riders are confirmed: Roxana-Gaer, Aidwyn-Solitude, Rash-Anita).
(OOC: Ready to return to Longsaddle then? And first of all to Colin, if I understand correctly? Or is there some last thing you want to do in the dungeon?)
Roxana mounts her horse then offers a hand to help Gaer up behind her. "No falling off," she says jokingly. To the others she says, "On to Longsaddle and see if Colin will indulge us with another meeting?"
"I'll hold on tight" Gaer jokes back, placing his hands on Roxana's hips and holding on particularly tightly to her back - perhaps even more than he needs to, given that it's actually clear that he's keeping himself in balance mainly by squeezing his legs...
"I'm sure Colin will be happy to meet us again," he comments. "He said he was interested in magical knowledge... and Rash and Ardjena found him quite a bit!"
"Sure Aidwyn! I can stay on your shoulder as you ride and listen to you..." the winged gold-furred miniature she-elephant approaches the young heroine "Do you have a good deed in mind? I really hope I can be of use to you!"
During the day the weather remained good; the shy early morning sun is now hidden by a uniform leaden sky, but the cold is moderate compared to the previous day.
The return ride proceeds without a hitch, exactly as it did on the outward journey (perhaps a sign that the terrible goblin leader Rukuz the Merciless has changed his name to Rukuz the Tolerant?).
(OOC: If Aidwyn wants to take the opportunity to have her conversation with Zentromya, perched on her shoulder, she can do so without any problems-otherwise the celestial is obviously available afterward as well).
So you all reach the Ivy Mansion without any problems, at the sight of which Ardjena opens her mouth wide in amazement: "They rebuilt it! It is completely changed! It looks completely different from when I knew it... No, silly me, obviously they have not rebuilt it, but changed it with magic - they have changed it a lot, though".
The underbridge, however, has remained the same as always and the apprentice remembers it well, walking under it without difficulty.
The young girl with freckles follows you all, then - since now you know better than her where the Fuzzy Quarterstaff is inside the compound now - and inside, this time, you don't find Colin already present.
You could just wait for him, eating and chatting with each other in the meantime... Or you could ask about him... Or you could decide to talk to the Harpells first instead, then... Or something else! What do you prefer to do?
As they ride back to Longgsaddle Aidwyn remains silent, but in fact she is talking with Zentromya.
"Solitude told me about her history... and I feel so angry about the way she was mistreated... I mean, obviously I do have feelings for her but no one should suffer such judgment or abuse just for being... different. She hasn't choose how or where to be born, right? you cannot punish anyone for that... but for their life choices... anyway. She suffered the amputation of her tail... I cannot imagine the pain and the trauma of being ripped apart from your own body due to the limited vision of someone. I was wondering... maybe you can help me? and her? First... you are able to raise the dead back to life, may I ask you if, in your incredible abilities would you be able to restore her missing tail? if not it is ok of course, I just had to ask. My second request is both a fair price to pay for that kidness and a petition at the same time. You see.. I am angry yes, but also and foremost... powerless... I wish I could be able to do more to protect others from harm. Do you.. do you think that a God would accept me as a servant? I could be their warrior in the world, their shield to protect the weak and their sword to cut down the evil... do you think they would accept me?
During the ride, telepathic conversation between Aidwyn and Zentromya:
Zentromya has a sweet but saddened tone, as she responds in the young heroine's mind: "No, Aidwyn... Paradoxical as it may seem, even if I can defeat death - as long as it hasn't come too long ago - I'm not instead able to regrow what was amputated. It's truly terrible what happened to Solitude! But by staying with her, you regenerated much more than her tail, Aidwyn... I don't know if you realized it fully, but you regenerated her soul - a soul that, left to itself, threatened to get lost in the meanders of resentment and desperation. What you did, although perhaps less evident, is no less important, Aidwyn".
"Although, from what I have just told you, you should understand that you are not at all powerless, Aidwyn," the celestial continues "if you want to put yourself at the service of Elysium, to become its shield as I am its herald, I will gladly help you in this! You truly seem like a new incarnation of Hyppolita Sharnshield, now that, in addition to her shield, you seem to carry her spirit too! We will seek a temple of Lathander, The Rose-and-Gold God, Elysium's Mentor of Self-Perfection! I will plead your cause and I will have you consecrated to him, if you so wish! Who better than the god of Dawn could bless the new life that you and Solitude want to lead together?"

Spira sighs. "There are some faiths and philosophies in this world that argue that's all anyone is in the end, just an illusion. It's sometimes more of a burden fighting back the deadening, numbing kind of evil those sorts of beliefs bring than it is fighting back a legion of devils. But both battles are so important to keep on fighting."
By the time the group returns to Longsaddle, though, she has recovered her accustomed good spirits, and now she looks about her in the Fuzzy Quarterstaff for anyone at all she recognizes -- bar Adran and his ilk; or, failing that, anyone wearing the outward trappings of a wizard who seems receptive to being approached in conversation. She will go up to this person politely and say, "Excuse me. My name is Quspira Inirali, and I was wondering if you knew how I could get in touch with the diviner Colin Harpell, or any of the wizards who helped Lady Martha Sharnshield in the matter of her lost fiancé?"
(OOC: Just a note: Colin is not a Harpell... his last name is Dreekan - obviously Spira remembers this and so asks about Colin Dreekan)
A young boy in a star-studded tunic, endowed with an oversized right thumb that makes him appear as if he were continually doing 'thumb-ups', is happy to reply to Angharrad's cleric: "Of course, milady! Dick Aimandol, at your service!" he bows slightly "Mr. Colin Dreekan is busy attending an exclusive lecture right now, but I can go and call him if it's an urgent matter... But if it's something that can wait, I imagine he'll come back here at relax within half an hour and he will certainly happily talk to you! Mr. Colin Dreekan is always kind and helpful to everyone".
"Typical Harpell apprentice..." Ardjena murmurs, at the sight of the abnormal thumb - evidently she believes that it is a deformation induced by some magical 'accident'. "I have to remember to ask him who his mentor is... so I can avoid him!"
Roxana jumps into the conversation. "I think we could wait," she tells Dick. "I don't think we're in any hurry?" She glances about at Gaer and then the others for confirmation.
Assuming there are no objections, she heads off to find a nice table for them to sit at to wait. "Once we meet with Colin, then where to? Should we try to sell some of the things we found? Oh! And we should work on identifying the properties of that scimitar we found."
"Indeed, let's wait for him..." Gaer agrees, then taking a seat next to Roxana "It's true that we're in no hurry. And selling the loot seems like a great next step!" while waiting, he orders a beer for himself and asks Roxana if she would like a glass of that wine she ordered last time...
"As I anticipated in... in the place we come from," Ardjena in the meantime remembers "I could discover all the magical properties of Sixefsag, the scimitar you found... but I need a precious gem - a pearl worth at least 100 gp. It's an investment to be made once and for all... it doesn't have to be repurchased every time, it can be reused... but the ritual cannot be done if you don't have the pearl".
"I see. So... does anyone remember how much we found in Mhurren's loot chest?" the half-orc asks. "If we can use that before dipping into our reward money it would be kind of nice..."

Roxana looks over at Rash with a puzzled look. "I don't recall Mhurren having any loot chest." (OOC - I don't remember anything like that. And reading back I saw no mention of such. But maybe I missed it?)
She smiles at Gaer, giving him a slight nod. "And yes, I would love a nice glass of wine."

So the content should have been 'interesting'. Anyway, I would be surprised if, after defeating him, you had not found the key and taken his treasure..."
"Yep, that's right,"Rash says with a smile. "Think it had something like 40 gold and 900 silver pieces... and then we spent 10 to get the supplies to summon my familiar. So there should still be 30 gold and 900 silver... or about 120 gold. There were also three interesting gemstones... we really need to get those appraised."
