Tarysaa, curled up in a ball under a courtain of heavy fog, can't see the precise slash with which Clas would have split the Flaming Sphere in half... if it had been a common material object.
Unfortunately for the brave warrior, though, even as the blade cuts through the spongy texture of the ball from top to bottom, the object neither splits nor appears damaged.
(OOC: Allowing some time for someone else to act, if they wish, then Clas, being still in melee range of the flames, will have to do another DEX save...)
A little map of the tactical situation might help....
Ardana has a flag, she will try to pull Tarysaa away from the sphere to the staircase room, then will try to distract the sphere and lead it back to its room, hoping to get it into the corner and dash out of the room closing the door.
In fact, I guess I can't complain to much if you ask me for a map now... my fault, that I have accustomed you to too much comfort from the beginning! 😉
No problem for Ardana to reach Tarysaa and help her to the staircase room (probably, if she has enough strength, she can even carry her in her arms to gain time)... Then we will see how our valiant paladin plans to lure the sphere.
Ilwythe, perplexed, merely states the obvious: "It seems invulnerable to our weapons..."
(OOC: Just waiting to see if Nim or Daisy want to do something)
Ardana then tries to direct the operations and the Flaming Sphere is guided back to its original room... Once the burning ball goes back in there, Clas jumps it with a desperate leap, goes out and closes the door.
It looks like you are all safe again!
You have time to regroup, restore your original marching order and flag setup, and decide where to head (or how to heal yourself... if anyone is feeling pretty toasted)
Clas's solid form comes to a pause, his chest heaving as he catches his wind. A sense of parched thirst tugs at him, and he reaches for his waterskin with a grateful sigh. The cool liquid refreshes him, reinvigorating his energy.
Second Wind roll 1d10+2 /roll
With a hearty laugh, Clas looks to Ardana with a nod of appreciation. "Ardana, you really pulled off a spectacular dance with that flaming spectacle back there. Thanks for leading it away!"
After he takes another drink, Clas says. "Folks, even though that room turned out to be empty, we didn't leave empty-handed in terms of insights." His eyes twinkle with a mix of determination and discovery.
"Here's what I'm thinking," he continues, his words flowing with enthusiasm. "This place is filled with illusions, mis-directions and obfuscations. And that's the first thing we've learned. Second, as long as we hold off opening any more doors, we've got a chance to map out this labyrinth—That was quite the ruckus and nothing came to investigate."
His voice takes on a thoughtful tone as he outlines his strategy. "If we can map out the entirety of these hallways and doors, and with a little insight into the mind of the mage who built this place, from Tarysaa. We might be able to figure out where to go without getting caught up in more fights and opening as few doors as possible."
"What do you all say? Let's map these hallways and come back here to study it and take a rest. Hahahaha! A long cool rest. Hahahaha!"
"Oh, no! Look out!"Daisy screams as the fire ball comes rolling down the hall back toward the room it emerged from. She quickly pulls Barakor as she jumps out of the way at the intersection.
"Well, I'm sorry about that," she says kicking at something on the ground. "Guess that wasn't a good idea since that room's got nuthin' in it."
"What do you all say? Let's map these hallways and come back here to study it and take a rest. Hahahaha! A long cool rest. Hahahaha!"
"Sounds like a good idea to me, but I wouldn't trust the halls to be quiet. We should still be on our guard for any types of traps and tricks that this Kylth may have left behind."
Nim carefully leaves the gong room before bumping into Taryssa along the way.
”Oops sorry Tary, let’s go see what the others have found out.”
He then fumbles around in the mist to find his friends, terrified that a huge flaming ball will emerge and give him the tan of a lifetime. He carries on through the halls calling out before him.
Nim’s curiosity once again (and likely to the detriment of the group) gets the better of his fears and he powers on through the hallway out of the gong room, looping back round and taking the southward corridor to explore what lies ahead. (OOC: Goes exploring down unexplored route #3 on map.)
Nim hears hulking footsteps behind him when he finally shakes his mind from the grandiose allure of the unknown and turns to see Clas right behind him holding the small flag in his hand.
”Oh! Well remembered with the flag my friend, I guess this poor little bard’s songs would be lost to time and forever absent from the yearning ears of good tavern folk the world around if it want for you And your ‘Barrel & Ale’. Hmm perhaps the barrel and ale should have a ballad composed about them!”
Nim and Clas venture out to explore yet another corridor… and come across yet another malevolent Flaming Sphere! This, unfortunately, is not confined behind a door ... therefore, Nim barely has time to notice it, that immediately the Burning Ball begins to roll in his direction. Luckily, like the other one, it's slower than our heroes... It has the speed of our heroes in step, so if our heroes run, the fiery menace can't catch up with them.
There is an ordinary wooden door about halfway down the new corridor...
What will our heroes decide? Will they flee back? Or will they try to reach the door?
Back Nim! Let’s trap it with the other one. Maybe they’ll destroy each other. Hahahaha! Clas pulls Nim along not waiting for an answer. Ardana! We’ve got another one for you! Hahahaha!

Never underestimate the power of a finely crafted barrel, my friend! It is both a vessel of strength and a symbol of resilience.

"Lead it back this way and I'll circle around and put it back in its room - everyone else clear out of the way"
Once Tarysaa is away. Clas steps back from the sphere, to draw it away from the intersection, and throws his last hand axe before drawing Ale.

16 is a good roll, but still not enough - so Clas suffers 8 fire damage

OK, it's quite easy to get to the room of the two mosaics again. There you can discuss at will what to do. There's no shortage of unknown ways...

Hahahaha! Lead on Nimblestep. We’ll compose songs and tell tales when we reach a tavern. Hahahaha!
