Proud and bold, Barri served many years in the professional army of Citadel Adbar. The Iron Guard, as it's known, is an assembly of skilled warriors that defend the great Dwarf hold in highly trained units. During one particularly deadly engagement he found himself alone facing down an angry hill giant. Gritting his teeth, he charged forwards and attacked his massive foe. Fulling expecting to die, he instead managed to cut down his enemy in full view of hastily arriving Dwarf reinforcements. The demise of the giant caused the enemy morale to collapse, and the day was won. Drinks, gold, and cheers went his way after that. He was a hero in the stronghold. Barri had a taste of glory and wanted more. His faith in his own combat prowess had been fortified by that fight and he was ready for anything. He decided that there were many enemies of his people beyond the territory of Citadel Adbar. He took up the mantle of the wandering hero, embracing combat challenges from many foes. Gnolls, orcs, and wild beasts fell before him. Ultimately his goal is to have a glorious death in battle, though hopefully not for many years. While gold and magical treasures motivate him, his overarching goal seems to be a place in history. Barri has a freer spirit than many Dwarves and has adapted well to life on the road. He still remains convinced of the superiority of the Dwarves, but he opened up to other cultures over the years. Stubborn and defiant, Barri sometimes has trouble accepting the ideas of others. His plans tend to be straight-forward and deep down he is suspicious of spell-casters. He is not foolhardy, though, and will go along with a plan if it is clearly the best option. There may come a day when he encounters a foe that is beyond him. When that time comes, will he chase the afterlife or live to fight another day?
Thank you very much for applying. From this very moment i will send private messages to picked players. Once again many thanks to everyone who applied, i loved every single application character, but had to choose somehow, and mostly used my guts and feelings about what the future holds. Recruitment is closed.

Ability scores: 10911111617
Name: Omar Clearwater Class: Wizard Background: Failed Arcanist Concept: I belive that the Warlock Class (despite being totally valid, creative and fun) is not really neccessairy in the rules as any class can be played as one with the right amount of flavouring. I have a wizard in mind that made a pact with a fiend to gain magical powers in return of a favour (maybe they need the heart of a dragon or something...) I dont plan on making them evil, just a bit selfish. Backstory: Omar studied magic in one of waterdeeps institutions. He was very ambitious and when he could not reach the goals he wanted to achieve he tried to take a shortcut. He stole a tome containing rituals to contact fiends and tried to barter with one. He was found out before the ritual was complete though and promptly expelled from the academy. Still wanting to learn more and even more desperate than before he repeats the ritual. Without someone to possibly interfere or monitor the ritual something was bound to happen, but Omar managed to strike a deal with a figure wreathed in shadow. A deal that sounds too good to be true. With his career jumpstarted Omar decides to travel a bit to gain experience Link to Sheet:https://www.dndbeyond.com/characters/106956154/akkvJv

Big fan of keeping it simple with jus phb content! Seems like we jive on role play versus roll play attitudes.
I’d like to throw my hat in the ring with a Dwarf. I’m just gonna go with a straight up Life Cleric. Keep it simple. I can adjust background/backstory to fit whatever.

Grumble Stonefist, a slightly off-the-wall hill dwarf, is known for his carefree and laid-back attitude. He often seems lost in his own world, his eyes half-lidded as if perpetually caught in a daydream. Despite his lazy demeanor, he possesses a gentle and kind-hearted nature, always willing to help others in need. He's quick to offer a warm smile and a chuckling laugh, even in the face of danger.
**Quirks:** 1. **Pipes and Potions:** Grumble is rarely seen without his intricately carved wooden pipe, which he fills with various herbs he gathers on his journeys. The scent of his unique concoctions often precedes his arrival. 2. **Talks to Animals:** Grumble believes that animals are his closest friends, and he often holds lengthy conversations with squirrels, birds, and even insects. 3. **Unusual Insights:** Despite his daft appearance, Grumble occasionally shares surprisingly profound insights that leave others puzzled but contemplative.
**Grand Discovery:** During his time as a hermit in the deep forests, Grumble uncovered the existence of a rare, luminescent moss that possesses potent healing properties. This moss, when used in combination with his clerical abilities, enables him to craft powerful and unique healing elixirs.
**Goals:** Grumble's ultimate goal is to bring a sense of relaxation and peace to the world around him. He believes that everyone should take a moment to slow down, appreciate nature's beauty, and enjoy life's simpler pleasures. While he may seem unmotivated, his deeper goal is to share his healing concoctions with those in need, bringing comfort and relief to those who suffer.
**God:** Grumble Stonefist worships Chauntea, the Earthmother, from the Forgotten Realms pantheon. He sees her as a nurturing force that guides him to appreciate the natural world and embrace the harmony that exists within it. He believes that Chauntea's blessings are found not only in her healing touch but also in the tranquility of a gentle breeze or the soothing sound of a babbling brook.

Concept/Backstory: Progo was a constantly sick child which took a toll on his development. Despite being relatively rall for a Half-Orc, he has a small build, narrow shoulders, below average strength, even his skin seems to have a bluish tint to it. He found his smaller size makes him seemed like less of a threat to people and aloud him to get into places unsuspiciously. He found acceptance in not so well intending groups from exploiting this trait of his. A job gone bad forced him to flee the organization and look for new avenue of life.
Progo has good intentions and means well, he finds killing certain targets as a nessiasry cost of doing business but generally tries to find other ways to get the job done (which is what led to the job going poorly)
He is looking for work to fund his next business venture (wants to be a traveling potions salesman and creater). Ultimately he is looking to discover a "cure" for someone he loves who may or may not be trying to kill him at the moment.
He always Refers to himself as Progo, never say me, myself, or I.
Cool calm collected personality, always coukd be worse, but seeks confirmation in what he is doing. He fears failure more then death.
Well, maybe not. Definitely not with scores that far below both point buy and standard array. I might as well just call him crewman #6. 😉
