Lore - The little fire bolt that could crackles across the abandoned farmstead and hits the dire wolf between the eyes with a puff.
Jahia will take advantage of the distraction and drive her longsword into the dire wolf's neck. The blade punches through the back of its neck and the dire wolf struggles weakly for a few seconds before going limp.
Dire Wolf B is DEAD.
Combat has ENDED.
Jahia pulls her blade from the beast and wipes it against the dead wolf's coat to clear some of the blood away. She turns to you all and gives a nod and a smile, "Nice job everyone. You really work together well. Let's get these mutts out of the road so the caravan can pass through here."
After you clear the way,the caravan departs once more. This time, a few of Tastra's hunters tag along to see it a couple of miles out of town before returning to report no issues. You all return to the Inn, where Pello has cleaned away the remains of your earlier meal and set out a few bottles of his finest alcoholic beverages. "It's all on the house tonight folks!" He says as he pours an amber colored liquid for himself. He gives the glass a sniff and a swirl before taking a sip. "Aaahhh... Now, one last thing before we all turn in for the night." He sets a piece of parchment in front of you all and you see that it's a top down drawing of windmill field. "We should decide where we want the traps to be set up. We have enough rope for a couple of trip lines, we probably have enough time to dig one pit, and whatever traps you yourselves have. Just mark it on the map here and I'll have someone set it up for you."
Zubien looks at the map. " We can place archers up in the tower, from there we can fire on the giant even with instead of allowing his advantage of height. I think we need to keep it in the road, use the trip lines in the wood to help channel it. I would recommend the pit in the open just east of the tower, so that if the giant gets around the trip lines, it is where we can keep a steady flow of arrows into it, and get it to come towards the tower and fall into the pit."
Lehmani listens to Zubien's plan, adding, "If the giant is as dull-witted as one would imagine, I might be able to assist by magically commanding it to fall right in the pit."

But, as my good buddy Smee used to say, “Everybody has a plan until you get punched in the face.” Let’s also create a last line of defense, cause that dumb brute is gonna rush at the windmill to tear it down once he feels nuff like a pincushion. "I could make use of an illusion spell," Lore suggests, "either to mask an ambush, or to hide a trap from the giant's view. Especially if the giant is too infuriated or distracted to look where he's going."
Zubien thinks for a moment, "Could you make an illusion of a huge pile of food on the pit trap? Then we could place the large metal trap at the bottom, then from our advantage of the high ground, shoot arrows down into it. The illusion would not cause the trap to fall in as it has no weight."-
All - Pello nods and scribbles on the map as you speak, making notes and drawing shapes. When he's done, he shows you the map, "Something like this?"
Red lines are trip lines
L's Trap is Lehmani's large bear trap
G's Trap is a collection of Grymar's physical traps (He can place his snare where ever he likes the day of, prior to the encounter)
Archers will be on the balcony of the Windmill
Jahia will try to keep its attention on her
Y'all can let me know if you'd like to change anything, or if you think it's good. Also, for the encounter with the giant feel free to let me know what you want Jahia to do/where she should move.
((Looks good.)) Grymar plans to be up in the tower with his bow as well, but ready to rush down the stairs and out to help Jahia if needed. He places his 2 traps, his caltrops, and his snare in the area noted, to slow down the giant and allow the archers to do their work.

Zubien also recommends that we place the knockout potion for the giant in a ceramic container, so when the giant falls on it, he inhales it and is coated in it. Zubien also plans to coat his arrows with it, and suggest the other archers do the same.
All - Pello finishes marking the map and sets his quill down before rubbing his eyes with a yawn, "Well, I'll go show this to the others so we're all on the same page, then I'm heading to bed. Big day tomorrow." He rolls up the map and hops to the floor, "Feel free to use the vacant rooms upstairs if you need a place to stay." Pello leaves you all and heads out of the Inn. Jahia stifles a yawn and says, "I am going upstairs to have a soak before I turn in or I'll be just one big ball of hurt tomorrow. Nighty night."
If there is anything your character would like to do before going to bed, feel free to describe it, otherwise you all also complete whatever pre-sleep routine you like and head to bed.
The next day dawns dreary and overcast. The storm from the night before has left the streets muddy and cobblestones slick. Pello is up, having prepared a large spread for breakfast. Jahia is also up when you come down, eyes looking a little tired but otherwise tearing into Pello's food with gusto. After breakfast Jahia offers to help Pello clean up saying, "I've gotta do something, I can't just sit around and wait. I've already triple checked the traps." Everyone else you see seems to have the same nervous energy as they await the arrival of Yegor Bonecruncher.
Again, if there's anything your character would like to do before noon, feel free to post it. Otherwise, the hours crawl by until finally it is time to take up your positions.
Tastra's hunters crack jokes at one another from atop the mindmill, attempting to deflect the rising dread. You see a huge pile of food sitting roughly 50 feet from the trip lines, flies buzzing about it constantly. Suddenly, an apple rolls from near the top of the pile. Soon more food cascades downward and you feel the thud of impossibly heavy footsteps as you see the hill giant approaching. Bonecruncher is a gross figure, towering to the height of a tree but as wide as a cart. Rolls of fat hang over a filthy loincloth and crusted blood rims his crooked grin. In one hand he carries an uprooted sapling, while the other holds a vast brown sack dotted with various unwholesome stains. He sees the pile of food and plods over to it, smashing through a wooden fence as if it weren't there. He plops down onto his bottom and the entire windmill quakes, threatening to send you tumbling over the railing to the ground below!
Whomever is in the windmill, please make a DC 12 DEX or STR saving throw to prevent being knocked over the railing!
In the morning, with Zubien's permission, Lehmaniwould like to borrow his longbow to grant it the Blessing of the Forge(Giving his weapon +1 to Attacks & Damage until my next long rest or death).
She'd also like to as Pello, or anyone else who can do it, to gather as many flasks of lamp oil as possible, to bring to the roof of the windmill. If necessary, they can be lobbed at the giant and ignited as he approaches. While the others prepare, and if she can assemble the necessary resources, she'd like to attempt to use her Channel Divinity: Artisan's Blessingto craft a very small scaled catapult that can launch those oil flasks if necessary.
Once it's time to set up, she'd like to position herself on the top of the windmill, with a good view, so she can reach as any ally who might need a Healing Word if things turn rough. As the team sets up on top of the roof, Lehmani suggests that they also secure a few lengths rope to the back of the windmill, so the team up there can make a quick descent if needed.

Lehmani - You're able to gather 16 flasks of lamp oil from the populace. You're also able to craft a simple catapult using scrap meatal and rope. A couple of the hunters work to attach lengths of rope to the railing for quick access to the ground.
Zubien - The entirety of the greensleep powder was used to spike the food that the giant is now eating. I went ahead and rolled a DEX Saving throw for you on your character sheet, which you passed.
