All - A suitable resting place is found for Thelmund, overlooking the forested area around the Stone Tooth. Reena and Jerrid help find and stack stones around and over Thelmund's body. They stand in solemn silence as Lehmani recites funerary rites and the wind blows around the mountain. After Thelmund is laid to rest the two thank you again for your help and set off down the trail that wends its way down the rocky incline.
In response to Grymar's question, Lehmani says, "Give me another hour and I can forge the coins into a breastplate. Otherwise, I'm just as well to leave them where they are until we come back out. I doubt they'll do us much use down in the chasm anyway."

Kalhala breathes a sigh of relief as the two head off into the sunset and they turn back into the cave. "If we lost another one of those... I don't think I could take it." He looks to the treasure Grymar has found and listens to what Lehmani says, but shrugs, "If it's all the same to you guys, I'm itching to find out what's down below. Rather deal with all this later."
Grymar nods and smiles, saying “Well, c’mon then, let’s go see!” At a minimum, if he finds a blanket he throws it over the chests, trying to hide them in a pile of junk, for them to address on their return out of this place. He takes his walking stick and starts to move toward the way down, watching and listening for stirges.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
All - The stairway twists and turns a long way downward. The floor has been cut into hundreds of shallow steps, but the walls and ceiling are still natural rock. About sixty feet down, a rushing stream spills from a narrow crack to the south and crosses the stairway, disappearing into a narrow, winding tunnel to the north. The rill is only two or three feet wide.
All - The descending fissure opens up abruptly into a very high cavern, its ceiling easily forty feet or more overhead. The stairway continues to wind down along a ledge that follows the north wall of the chamber. A fast-moving stream about five feet wide runs across the floor of the chamber from the north and disappears under a low stone overhang to the south, and larger passageways exit to the southeast and the northeast.
Kalhala & Zubien - There is no light whatsoever in the area you are now in. You'll need a lightsource to see anything.
Grymar, Lehmani, and Berarak - There is no light whatsoever in the area you are now in. With your darkvision, you can see up to 60ft but the darkness is only considered dim light and you have DISADVANTAGE on any WIS Perception checks that rely on sight.
Keeping her voice low, Lehmani addresses Grymar and Berarak... "Perhaps I'm being overcautious, but I'm wondering if the three of uswe should do a quick sweep of this chamber before the others light torches. See if there's any reason to avoid lighting a beacon to any potential adversary. What do you think?"

Berkarak responds in a loud whisper, "That sounds like a fine idea, Lehmani." He re-ups his mage armor, then squints and starts walking west and north. (Perception 17)
Berkarak - I went ahead and re-rolled Perception for you as you are at a Disadvantage due to the lack of light. Walking west and north you find the passage extends westward then narrows as it turns north. You find nothing of note in this area.
Lehmani - Heading east over the stream, you see that there is a path leading north that likely connects to where you crossed the stream earlier. Further east you find another passage that opens up into a wider room and detect a faint odor, like that of an animal.
Grymar - Heading south along the stream, you find it passes through a small passage in the south wall. The passage is only about three feet high and half filled with water. To the southeast, your eyes detect a faint illumination coming from the passage found there.
Returning to the others, Lehmani relays what she scouted and continues, "In terms of a destination, my vision told me that Durgeddin fell into the chasm we crossed above. If his body was never recovered, it should be somewhere to the west of us. I suggest we continue southward down the path Grymar found. At the very least we'd avoid moving closer to whatever beast I smelled down the eastern passage. As for torches... I don't see anything to suggest danger in lighting them. What say the rest of you?"

Avery will assist in moving the body to the outside, and gathering of stones to build a cairn.

Lehmani will also load up her censer with that incense again, apologizing the whole time for the righteous stank.

"It may stink, but if it keeps those Stirges away, that's fine by me," remarks Zubien as he draws his sword. "Every little bit counts."
Grymar heads over to the stairs and looks, listens down, trying to hear the sound of any buzzing, or detect the smell of blood.

Don't think Lehmani would have any reason not to just hop on over that stream then, and keep moving down the steps... (Fingers crossed)
