Kalhala looks up to Lehmani, "I'm up for whatever battle may come. I follow you, m'lady. Which way makes sense to you to find what you are looking for?"
Berkarak leans in to the group's conversation with a serious look on his face, his eyes darting back and forth to the speaker. He tries to nonverbally indicate to the group that he's up for whatever they decide; that he has great interest in their decision while deferring to their direction. He uses mage hand to adjust his spectacles.
Grymar walks in deeper, needing to see it himself, he goes to the southern door first, walking through to the back, examining the walls, looking for any sign of a hidden door or passage. Once satisfied that nothing further is there, he goes to the northern door and walks beyond the ruined boxes and crates, going east and checking for anything unusual or any sign of hidden stonework, an alternate passage. If he returns with nothing, he’’ll come back to the others and say “South it is I guess. Maybe Mr. Sea monster will stay in the water and we can sneak on by…”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Grymar - You find nothing of note the in the southern room. While searching the northern room, what appeared to be a wet patch on the floor suddenly twists like a snake and lunges toward you! You also hear a wet SPLAT behind you, like the sound of something falling to the ground...
SURPRISE ROUND
The enemies rolled a higher average initiative roll AND also have gained a surprise round.
Gray Ooze A lunges toward Grymar, but misses!
Gray Ooze B gathers itself into a knob of undulating ooze and smacks Grymar! The ooze catches him completely unaware, critically striking him in the back. He takes 6 points of bludgeoning damage and 6 points of acid damage as the caustic ooze begins to eat away at his armor and flesh... His armor also takes a permanent -1 penalty to AC.
Lehmani's usually level demeanor turns to something ferocious at the sight of the two oozing abominations, and the damage they just did to Grymar's armor. "Their bodies are corrosive! Keep your distance! If you don't have a magical weapon to wield, then take my mace!"
With that, she shouts out two an incantations. The first brings down a column of Sacred Flame upon Ooze A. The second conjures a Spiritual Weaponbehind that same ooze, and takes a swing at it...

“Aaaarrrghhh!” Grymar feels the burn and sizzle of the acid, his eyes go wide and he becomes angry and alarmed with how hurt he is. He holds his wooden staff up high and says “Kombucha!” and it starts to glow light blue. He uses it to smack the Gray Ooze A, also marking it as a favored foe. Using his gathered swarm feature, he attempts to move the ooze back 15 feet to the northeast, up that passage and allowing him space to run up the northwestern passage toward Berkarak, avoiding being cornered by the two of them. He risks an AoO in moving away from Ooze B, but he doesn’t want to feel boxed in. “Jumpin Jehariah that hurt! Help! Oozy nasty monsters in there!”
Shillelagh : 19 to hit, for 11 points of damage to Ooze A. An additional 4 points of favored foe damage.
Gathered swarm ability :
Once on each of your turns, you can cause the swarm to assist you in one of the following ways, immediately after you hit a creature with an attack:
The attack’s target must succeed on a STR saving throw (DC:13) or be moved by the swarm up to 15 ft. horizontally in a direction of your choice.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Lehmani - The sacred flame descends upon the ooze and you see its surface bubble and char, however the spiritual weapon fails to connect.
Berkarak - Your eldritch blast slams into Ooze A, splattering a bit of it across the nearby containers, causing them to hiss and crackle as the corrosive goo eats away at them.
Grymar - The enchanted stick wallops the ooze and the magical bees finish it off. You watch as it becomes fry and flaky and stops moving.
Gray Ooze A is DEAD.
Zubien - As you come around the corner and squeeze by Berkarak you see grymar finish off Ooze A. (I used your action to Dash so you could reach the spot you are now in)
Kalhala grabs the mace from Lehmani's outstretched hand and rushes into the fray, not wanting anything else to happen to Grymar. He swings at it once flanked with Grymar.
Kalhala - The ooze splatters a bit as it is magically bludgeoned. You see its form quiver in pain.
ROUND 2
Grymar - You feel a sizzling SMACK on your buttocks as Gray Ooze A lands an attack . You take 5 points of bludgeoning damage and 10 points of acid damage. You hear bits of your armor sizzling and falling to the ground around you. Your armor takes an additional -1 modifier to its AC.
Seeing what the ooze did to Grymar's armor, Kalhala quickly disengages and runs, not hides, back to the other side of Lehmani, "You guys got this! I believe in you!"
Lehmani calls down another Sacred Flame down on the remaining ooze, and commands her spiritual weapon to take a swing at it, while shouting, "How are you doing, Grym? Do you need healing?"...
