Day 56: Dawn Descending on the King's Road, at the east most entrance to Diamond City, in a landing that is large and clear, you and your dragons are met by the entire circle and a large military force of about eighty soldiers. Commandant Kleenmore approaches you and states, "Good work, Akkron. I see you have taken control of this abomination. Please keep the Dragon here, outside of the city limits and away from the people. We are in your debt and are excited to see what you and your forces can achieve. Do you need to rest and resupply? How can we be of service."
While Kleenmore has your attention, Splendor the Paladin is scanning your group, casting Detect Evil and gathering information with his Divine Senses.
High Wizard Kane pulls you aside. "I know you are a Necromancer, and I know better than most that not all Necromancers are evil. I just want you to know that you have my support and you have my legion of followers at your disposal. Please utilize up to four of my followers on your next quest."

Now there is something that has come to light; it seems that whenever a Dragon Lord is defeated one of these undead dragons will spawn to avenge it. I feel we should look into strengthening the defenses of the surrounding cities and towns as much as possible to minimize risk before I and my team go forth to fight the next Dragon Lord. In the meantime... I would like to address the threat of the Orcs next. I feel that they should be given the chance to surrender rather than be destroyed, and I feel that after the defeat of the first Dragon Lord this would be the ideal time to offer them that opportunity when they will be more receptive towards my message."
(Not sure what class each of the new followers is, but I think Akkron will take the level 9 and three level 8 followers on the next mission)

Akkron's next move will be to go have a little 'chat' with the leaders of various Orc tribes about switching their allegiance so as to not get destroyed with the Dragon Lords.

The Orcish people are broken into several groups and tribes. The main ones are controlled by monsters who follow the Dragon Lordes.
Gigagay Tribe follows a Cyclops who report to the Red Dragon Lorde Sagonay Tribe follows a Night Hag Coven who reports to the Blue Dragon Lorde Litgo Tribe follows several Monstrosities in the woods who report to the Green Dragon Lorde Lizhay Tribe follows a Death Slaad who reports to the Black Dragon Lorde Washiko Trike follows a Frost Giant who once reported to the White Dragon Lorde
There are a few unaligned tribes that are peaceful and not warlike.
Akkron & company will take the Dragon Express to see the Washiko tribe. As the White Dragon Lord is now dead, he figures they'll probably be the most receptive to his offer. If they need a display of strength, he'll challenge their Frost Giant leader to a one-on-one duel.
Flying on dragons will take you about 6 days to get to the top of the mountain near Death's Peak. After a few hours, you can find Washiko Snow Orcs and they may attack on sight. I'll roll a bunch of random encounters to see if you encounter Orcs, Giants, or if something else happens.

When orcs are encountered, Akkron will attempt to intimidate them, with the Greater Death Dragon taking the Help action to give him advantage on the check. Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
Your able to pinpoint the orc tribe from the air and you land and are met with a small group of 9 Orogs and an Orc War Chief. Your Intimidation makes them think twice about attacking and the Orc War Chief steps out front and asks in Orcish, "Leave us alone. We do not surrender and we do not make deals. Go away or we will bring our Giant Leader to make you leave."
Domi (Wizard), "Orcs are so quick to follow a leader, let's just take out the Giant, and put the Orcs to work for us." Igor (Cleric), "All life is sacred, let's spare them if we can, and find a non-violent solution." Keu (Sorcerer), "Fire purifies the Ice. Show them our force and make them flee." Erynwulf (Paladin), "Why am I always put in this position to balance justice between fools and zealots?" Bernard (Fighter), "Lord Akkron, we are waiting for your orders." Reggie (Fighter), "Let's beat that Frost Giant." Tali (Bard), "Are we strong enough to do that?" Gaius (Wizard), "Just send in our Undead Dragon." Yoku (Ranger), "My Adventure is not over yet."
If the parley is accepted, then they will send for the Frost Giant and accept your turns for one on one combat. The hulking Frost Giant emerges, over a snow crest, huge and adorn with the holy symbol of Vaprak.

"In the interests of fair play, I will duel the giant on my own," Akkron announces, casting misty step as if it is nothing to dismount from the Greater Death Dragon and appear in front of the giant. "Only intervene if you see the giant's allies attempt treachery and violate the terms of engagement."
Initiative: 13

Akkron will go first with an initiative of 13. You can be 30 to 60 feet away from the duel when you start (or longer depending on which direction you teleported off of the dragon)
Because it seems fun, this Frost Giant will have two heads.
Lord Akkron starts by casting fire shield, choosing the warm shield option so the giant will be taking fire damage any time it hits him. He then waits for the giant to make the next move... he wants this fight to be a good show.
Akkron reels back from the two powerful blows... onlookers could swear they heard his ribs crack with each hit! But the wizard doesn't show any signs of pain as he casts tasha's mind whip on the giant, dealing 11 psychic damage on a failed DC 22 INT save, half on success. On failure, the giant loses her reaction and must choose between an action, move, or bonus action on its next turn. Also, its regeneration doesn't work at the start of its next turn due to fire damage.
Akkron then moves around the giant to be about 15 feet away, as the giant almost certainly lost its reaction.

(RAW, extra heads does not grant advantage against denied reactions but maybe should?)
Turning around quickly to see Akkron provoke and being unable to respond quickly, the Frost Giant scratches one of her heads and gets extremely embarrassed because she can't seem to move as quickly as she would like. Still raging, she rushes towards Akkron, lifts her Greataxe, but her axe moves in slow motion and she can only stretch back but not swing.
No regeneration due to fire damage last round. At the end of her turn, she can now take opportunity attacks, once again.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Akkron casts misty step to position himself another 30 ft away from the giant, then proceeds to cast chill touch
Attack: 36 Damage: 21
On a hit, chill touch also prevents the giant from regaining hit points. Akkron then steps back another 20 feet from the location of his teleportation to force the giant to dash if it wants to reach him.

OOC: I know. I just think that the editors forget stuff like "denied reactions", when they write new books. It was more of an observation than a rules comment. You're good hitting his low stat and having silvery barbs means he needs to double crit his save against Tasha's Mind Whip. Very cool.
Because of the necromancy spell, her regeneration does not work this turn. Raging and charging, she must move 50 feet with a dash action. Pressed up against Akkrons face, her faces pant and huff.

The Frost Giant Everlasting One uses a Bonus Action to go into Vaprak’s Rage.
Moving adjacent to Akkron she will take 6 fire damage from the fire shield
Using a Multiattack, she gets two greataxe attacks while raging
Greataxe 1, Vaprak’s Rage, Attack: 25 Damage: 36
Greataxe 2, Vaprak’s Rage, Attack: 26 Damage: 29
