If some of my men will have to be on horseback anyway, I'll also go ahead and take the wizard and the bard along.
You, Roxo, Commander Bernard, Reggie, Ranger Yoku, Wizard Gaius, Bard Tali, all gear up on Day 44 with Horses, each saddle bag has an explorer's pack with 10 days of rations, and you set out for Bog Hole, a small lake town with a thriving farming community, settlers don't mind the military outpost and locals support the military.
Gaius proclaims, "I'm a little unsteady on Horses."
Tali speaks up, "Didn't they teach you in the military?"
Gaius reluctantly says, "I skipped horseback training, because of my studies. Wizards aren't expected to ride in combat." He attempts to mount the encumbered horse, Animal Handling 9

Day 48: Dawn Your party arrives at the quaint farming town, with beautiful lush gardens and many wooden houses and structures. Tali sings a song about Bog Hole and how it got the name. "The Orcs did drown in the old bog hole, and that's where we made our stand."
News of your arrival was faster than your travels and several farmers rush up to greet you. When you arrive into town, a military debrief is arranged where they explain how the town of Hawthorne was evacuated and there has been no further sightings of the dragon.

"Where was the monster seen last? We need to find it before it strikes again. Does anyone have any idea why it attacked to begin with?"
The messenger soldier said, "I was stationed at Hawthorne Outpost. We heard of the Orc battle and then how the Circle sent you on a mission to defeat the White Dragon Lorde. We are honored that you have come to help with this issue."
He pulls out some scrolls and notes and begins to read, "Ten days ago, a greater death dragon attacked the outpost from the north. We have reports that it came from a particularly dense area of the Darkwoods called The Pitch (M15). It's called that, because no light can get through to the forest floor. When the dragon attacked the town, it made several flyby attacks, raining down unholy fire, each pass, and some people could hear it whispered, 'killed our sister'. After breathing black death six or more times, the dragon simply retreated back towards The Pitch. We evacuated the town shortly after the attack and moved everyone to Bog Hole."
He puts the scrolls away and says, "Please help us stop this dragon, head to Hawthorne or The Pitch. You have all of our support, in any way we can help."
"How many were killed? Those who died by the dragon's dark flames may have risen again as undead under its control."
The messenger looks directly into Akkron's face and proclaims, "We are still accounting for the dead. Although there were heavy casualties, we were able to quickly escape with the survivors. I shutter to think that some of the initial survivors, the ones that we couldn't save, may have been torn apart by their own loved ones."
He frowns as he wipes a tear from his face, "Hawthorne is now under quarantine, except for you and your group. If you can put an end to the suffering of those undead, we will be in your debt."
OOC: There will be a large number of zombies, scattered throughout the town 106
"In these circumstances... I feel that the wisest thing to do is if for those of us on foot to focus on keeping the area contained while I deal with the dragon," Akkron says. "Ranger Yoku, you and I can remain in the air and pick off the undead from above until the dragon decides to show itself. The last thing we need is to have our people swarmed by the undead on the ground when Roxo can easily fly well away from any danger."
So, at this point the plan is to have the Commader, Reggie, Wizard Giaus, and Bard Tali help the locals to keep the zombies contained, Akkron and Ranger Yoku will go on dragonback to rain fire/arrows down on the zombies until the death dragon decides to show itself.

Day 52: Dawn
Traveling by road and splitting the party so that two can ride Roxo and range the zombies from the sky.
The zombie infested town takes no time at all to rain down death to all zombies. After the final zombie falls, the party regroups to the south, anticlimactically.
Reggie speaks up, "What are our next orders?"
Before he can finish his sentence a greater death dragon appears on the edge of town to the North East.
Commander Bernard initiative, 8 Eldritch Knight Reggie initiative, 12 Ranger Yoku initiative, 23 Bard Tali, 13 Wizard Gaius initiative, 18
Akkron starts off with a relatively simple attack: he casts Tasha's mind whip, forcing the Greater Death Dragon to make a DC 22 Int save or take 10 psychic damage (half on a success). If the dragon fails, it must choose between moving, taking an action, or taking a bonus action on its next turn. It also cannot take reactions if it fails.
In addition, since it doesn't have the 'hover' property, it will fall if it is aloft and uses its next turn to do anything except move (as it will have deprived itself of its movement speed).
Simultaneously, Roxo (whom Akkron is riding on the back of) will move to U 33 and unleash his Singularity Breathe in the Death Dragon's face. The Death Dragon must succeed on a DC 17 Str saving throw or take 32 Force damage (half on a success) and have its speed reduced to 0 until the start of Roxo's next turn.
If the GDD succeeds on its Str save against Roxo's breathe weapon, Akkron will cast silvery barbs to force it to re-roll, giving advantage to Ranger Yoku's next attack, saving throw, or ability check

"Spread out as much as you reasonably* can! Don't allow the monster to strike all of you with its dark flames!"
*Reasonably, in this case, meaning far enough apart that they can't all get hit with the dragon's breathe weapon but still close enough that Bard Tali should be able to heal any of them should she need to.

Not sure we have discussed Silvery Barbs in combination with Legendary Resistance. For now, I'm using the Sage Advice ruling that says a reroll has no effect. Silvery Barbs may still be able to give advantage and Oathbow also gives advantage.
Can the silvery barbs spell in Strixhaven affect Legendary Resistance? No. When a creature uses Legendary Resistance, the creature turns a failed saving throw into a success, regardless of the number rolled on the d20. Forcing that creature to reroll the d20 afterward doesn’t change the fact that the save succeeded as a result of Legendary Resistance. No amount of rerolling will undo that success.

GDD is hit by Tasha's mind whip and rolls an Intelligence Save DC 22 vs 14
Using one use of Legendary Resistance, the GDD gets hit by Singularity Breath and must roll a Strength Save DC 17 vs 11
Using a second use of Legendary Resistance, the GDD takes 5 damage from Tasha's Mind Whip and 16 damage from Singularity Breath.
Then using Legendary Action to move half speed but missing any targets and lands on the ground (U41) adjacent to Commander Bernard.
