LOOKING FOR MORE PLAYERS FOR THE SECOND LEVEL OF *THE FORGE OF FURY*
Details:
This campaign involves a group of adventurers travelling to The Forge of Fury, which is located in a mountain called The Stone Tooth. Our brave band of adventurers have already completed the first level, called The Mountain Door. We are looking for more players to complete the second level, called The Glitterhame.
If you are interested in joining this game in progress, please post your character concept here. If you are picked, I will send you a link to the campaign ON MONDAY NIGHT. You will start at level 4, and I can give more details once you have been chosen.
Backstory: Most kobolds live under the tyranny of cruel chromatic dragons. Fortunately, Meepo's tribe wasn't one of them. Hailing from the southern corner of Faerun called the Calim Desert, the nomadic Dustweeper tribe roams the sandy dunes in search for food and shelter from the spontaneous formations of sandstorms and dust devils, and the incessant attacks from giant purple worms.
Tired of being dictated on where to go by the weather, Meepo decided to leave the tribe in search for greener pastures. Unfortunately, the cowardly behavior prevalent from his tribe was ingrained to his personality, and so he roams and runs at the first sign of danger.

Started as a player at time of registration. Started to DM a month later. Hoping to get better as time progresses.
Hey, Crispy! I’d love to join in with my Light Cleric, Hardi Dayhammer! I’ve used him before and I’d love to use him again! He’s a former city guard of Neverwinter.

Liam the Weak: Level 4 Human Fighter - Trying to fight against his other personality, and constantly losing.
Aodh: Level 20 Half-Elf Cleric of Life - Not really. It's a strange being that had possessed and broke down a level 20 Cleric of Life Domain, gaining his knowledge and power.
"*****": Level 1 Tiefling Sorcerer - Her family is dead, and her will is broken. She follows orders so that those that command her will allow her to die.
Background: Creed was born and raised in the city of Waterdeep. His grew up in a modest household and was the son of a man who was responsible for cleaning up the Dock Ward. Growing up, Creed's father took him to boxing and wrestling matches every weekend. Growing up, Creed idolized prize fighters. He never developed the strength to be one a professional brawler - instead he became a bard and wrote ballads of their various brawls, battles and victories. Creed can occasionally be found singing at the inn, but his favorite pastime is to provide commentary during matches. He spent some time as an adventurer, fighting alongside mercenaries and traveling up the Sword Coast and Ardeep Forest.
As for me, my name is Al and I am from Washington. I am a reporter for the weekly newspaper, but I spend most nights writing or reading if I am not covering event. I have some experience in DND, I played 3.0 and 3.5 in high school. I haven't played 5th edition. I recently got back into DND after playing games like Neverwinter, and watching/listening to podcasts like Critical Role and d20 Dames. When I played in high school, I was mainly focused on playing DND like a video game and having the best character with the coolest stuff. Now that I'm older, I really want to play characters and focus more on the character itself and take the good rolls with the bad rolls. I've roleplayed in forums like E-Wrestling and Pokemon, but not in DND before.

I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
I am interested. I have a fighter languishing in a campaign that never took off.
Calith Enfaren, Half-Elf Fighter
Calith is the fifth son of a travelling merchant from Neverwinter The child of a human father who met an elven woman in his travels. Upon his return to the same land later on he was presented with his half-elf son, Calith. His father took him at a young age as he was rejected by his mother's people. His older brothers, all fully human, treated him poorly, and while his father treated him well Calith recognized that his racial make-up would not lead to a great inheritance. He also knew that he did not possess either the intelligence or charisma needed to engage in his father's business of trade. He spent his time among the caravan guards of his father's merchant business. He also served in the Flaming Fist as a soldier and grew in stature as well as earning a well deserved reputation for his prowess in combat. He found that he did not like the rigid control of the military life and he left at the earliest chance and returned to work for his father as a caravan guard where he had greater freedom and could travel wider.
Work with his father's caravan guards allowed him to travel and gain experience in other languages other than his own. Proficient in Common, Elvish, Dwarvish and the trade language of Undercommon he could communicate with those he came into contact with while working the trade routes. He prefers to spend his time playing dice with soldiers and other guards. While he is comfortable in rough taverns he also knows how to behave in respectable inns. Unfortunately for Calith, his gambling issues have caused problems for him. His father has removed him from his position in the caravan guards. With his pack, weapons and some coins Calith is now on a new path...
About me:
I'm 45, married and live in Michigan. I've played D&D over the years on and off starting way back with the red box starter set in the 80s. We mostly played what would be considered home brew now. I like PbP as my work and life schedule doesn't allow me to commit large chunks of time to play games on a regular basis. I have 2 other PC's in PbP campaigns at this time and enjoy the role playing PbP offers. I'm on and off all day so can post on a regular basis.
Below the Mountain Door (LEVEL 1) lies the Glitterhame (LEVEL 2), a large series of natural caverns in the heart of the Stone Tooth Mountain. The caverns are beautiful: the walls sparkle and glisten with flecks of semiprecious stone, and millennia of sculpting and erosion by water have created sheets of fluted flowstone, delicate stalactites, and majestic stalagmites. Water streams down through the caverns towards an underground river far below. THERE IS A NUMBERED MAP OF THE GLITTERHAME IN THE CAMPAIGN PUBLIC NOTES.
WHAT HAPPENED BEFORE:
Our adventuring team, for various reasons, heard about the great Forge of Fury, deep within the dwarven stronghold of Khundrukar, located somewhere in Stone Tooth Mountain. The great dwarven smith, Durgeddin the Black, founded the secret stronghold within a great underground cavern system two hundred years ago when he and his clan were driven from their home by a horde of orcs and trolls. The orcs discovered the location of Khundrukar, Durgeddin's home, a century ago when they captured one of Durgeddin's clansmen. The orcs raised a great army that stormed the stronghold and slew the dwarves there, allowing the stronghold's five levels to fall into ruins. Now goblins, orcs and other monsters use the ruins as a base. Legends tell of the extraordinary blades Durgeddin forged in anger, enticing you guys to come to the ruins of Khundrukar to obtain them.
WHAT HAPPENS NOW:
LEVEL 1: THE MOUNTAIN DOOR (CLEARED) LEVEL 2: THE GLITTERHAME (YOU ARE HERE) LEVEL 3: ????? LEVEL 4: ????? LEVEL 5: ?????
Our adventuring team has just cleared the first level, where new adventurers have been found! Everyone, please take a moment and introduce yourself, and please explain as to WHY you are exploring Stone Tooth mountain. Is it to find Khundrukar and the Forge? Or is it for another reason?
Hardi waits there at the precipice of the great stone steps that descend into The Glitterhame. He had been driven to by legends and divine missives to seek out this mythic forge. It came to him while in prayer. He saw a great light. A wondrous beam of the dawn condensed down into a potent radiant luster. In his vision, he saw this mote of divinity coalesce into a solid form! The light itself took shape, but it was then that he would awaken. Every time. So many times he's prayed. So many times this vision has come. A mysterious magic weapon of such fine make that it captures the very light so that it may be wielded against the dark! The very thought of it causes Hardi's hear to race! Yes! A weapon to chases darkness away...forever. That is what he must find! It is that mission, that divine imperative, that drives him on.
As the group approaches, he snaps out of his fugue and comes to. What everyone sees is a rather hefty man clad in armor with a large maul slung over his shoulders. His hair is long, blond, unkempt, and shaggy. His eyes are blue, but they are ringed with dark heavy bags. They give an odd countenance that is juxtaposed by a large, warm smile! "Oh well hey there, fellas! Fancy meetin' you here, eh?".
