(I'll let everyone make introductions and post the first area, which is AREA 15, in about two hours. You are all standing at the very topmost left area right before AREA 15)
Near one of the walls stands Creed, a tiefling wearing leather armor, with the top open, and carrying a blue-hilted longsword at his side. His short crop of nappy black hair is barely over his horns, which are curved toward the front in a U shape. His brushes his black bushy mustache while admiring one of the rock formations, commenting on how its form matches its strength.
Creed had journeyed to the town of Blasingdell to commentate and perform at the annual smoker - a quick boxing session featuring many competitors. After the competition was over, one of the town’s watchmen recommended he journey through the Stone Tooth Mountains on his way back to Waterdeep. He was told the mountain range was home to many elusive, but tough competitors, as well as a potential treasure horde.
As the group approaches, Creed greets them with a smile. “A mighty group approaches, no doubt here to tame what the mountain has to offer.”

Out of the shadows steps an undefined apparition, startling you. Peeling back the hood of her cloak, you’re surprised to see a grinning elf, cheerfully smiling at you. “The name’s Luthien. Glad to me you, sir! Are you here to help me rid this wonderful dungeon of the blight that infests it?”
Hardi gives a chuckle "Well I'm not here for that exactly, but Ol' Hardi will stick with ya! You betcha!" He hefts up the large hammer a bit. "This is where I'm s'posed to be, ya know? Oh, speakin' of 'dos and don'ts'..." He holds out his hand to the friendly looking elf. "Name's Hardi Dayhammer, Priest of The Morning Lord. Pleasure to meet ya!"
Creed almost stumbles at the sight of Luthien, then glances at Hardi. "A warrior of the Morning Lord indeed and an elven lass. Glad to meet you both, my name is Creed." He stops for a moment and shakes his head. "That needs more rhyme. Now as for a blight in this dungeon, I hadn't heard of anything before I came. I'm sure I can help you, or at least stand back and cheer you on during the battle."

AREA 15 - DESCENT INTO DARKNESS AND THE COLD STREAM
(Reference the player map, should you need to, to follow along where were are in the journey. Right now, we are at the steps at AREA 15)
Unless you all have a light source, it is completely dark down here. Most light sources will not illuminate beyond 60', so there is plenty of darkness down here to hide Hells knows what.
The stairway twists and turns a long way downward. The floor has been cut into hundreds of shallow steps, but the walls and ceiling are still natural rock. About sixty feet down, a rushing stream spills from a narrow crack to the south and crosses the stairway, disappearing into a narrow, winding tunnel to the north. The stairway width is only two or three feet wide, and is slippery.
CHALLENGES:
A DC 8 STR (Athletics) or DEX (Acrobatics) check will be needed to not slip and descend safely. Continue to talk among yourselves as the night passes, I want to give everyone a chance for introductions. There will be more tomorrow!
“I pleasure to meet ya there, Creed! “ he’ll give the lively fellow a nod. Hardi looks down the slick, narrow stairs and gives a whistle. “Hoo boy! Slippery steps in a dark cave. Now that’s just askin’ for trouble, eh? Good thing Ol’Hardi comes bearing the light, ya know!” With that, he triumphantly thrusts out his maul! But nothing happens. Hardi shakes it a moment and nervously clears his throat. “Darn thing...” He gives the head of the mighty hammer a hard slap! Suddenly it lights up like a full torch! “Hoo! There ya go!”. Thanks to his Light, Hardi can brighten up the dank stone cave.
He’ll then make the first few tentative steps down.
Creed gives Hardi a nod of his own and begins to walk closely behind him, close to the light source though hoping his darkvision in case the light goes out. He wiggles as his feet touch the slippery stairway. "This is kind of like trying to walk in a ring made of jelly."

Calith stood at the steps leading to the Glitterhame. He had begun to explore the caverns almost out of sheer boredom. His father, upset with him and left him nearby. After spending most of his money in gambling at the local town he decided to investigate the rumors he had heard. Perhaps this was a chance to earn some real money. A part of him also just wanted to do some exploring and go off on his own, without the rules of his father's household. He had fought his way through level one, occasionally thinking he heard other's in the cavern. And now here he was face to face with several others.
"Hail and well met fellow adventurers! I am Calith and I see you explore this area as well. Perhaps we can join forces and do better together than apart?" Before you stands a half-elf in plate armor, bearing a longsword and shield.
After introductions, Calith follows the group down the stairs.

My apologizes for being late. I thought I was subbed to the thread and was waiting for the notification. Then I got caught up playing Baldur's Gate.
This first chamber of the Glitterhame proper is bisected by the stream and has a number of routes leading away from it, as you can see on the map. The descending fissure opens up abruptly into a very high cavern, its ceiling easily forty feet or more overhead. The stairway continues to wind down along a ledge that follows the north wall of the chamber. A fast moving stream about five feet wide runs across the floor of the chamber from the north and disappears under a low stone overhang to the south, and larger passageways exit to the southeast and the northeast.
CHALLENGES AND EXITS:
DC 10 WIS (Survival) check: ????? EXITS: AREAS 17, 21, or 23
As Calith makes his quickly down the stairs, his natural strength allowing him to negotiate them easily. At the bottom he looks around the room carefully, sword in hand, shield at the ready.
Creed finds his way down the stairs and notices the half-elf and takes a slight bow. "It would do better if we stuck together, like a supreme fighting force of four." He stops, realizing the elf is no longer there. "Well, I guess three of us."

Hardi easily navigates the stairs, finding solid footing here and there. He has his illuminated maul resting on his shoulder, giving light all around. As he follows along with Calith, Hardi can't help but hum a haunting little tune.
Calith, you notice two things: One, there are reptilian tracks by the stream that go back and forth to AREA 17. Most likely troglodyte. Two, there are large bat like creatures hanging on the top walls of the cave, sleeping. There is nothing else of interest in the cave other than those two things.

Calith turns to the others as they descend their way down the stairs. He puts a finger to his lips indicating the others should be quieter. He then points up to the ceiling and looks up hoping the others can see the creatures that hang from the ceiling. When he sees the others understands he also points out the tracks by the stream to the others.
Hardi happily extends a hand to Thoben. "Oh! Pleasure to meet ya, Thoben. Gotta say it's nice to see another man of the cloth down here, ya know? I think we'll need all the divine assistance with this hum-dinger of a cave we've got here, eh?" Hardi follows along when Calith shushes them "Tracks by the river, eh? Whatcha thinkin' those belong to?"
