"Just to get as close as possible and see what illusions there are on the store and the people and creatures around it", Normont whispers back. "At least that is what I thought the plan was, whilst I can see everything".
(OOC: Seems Dev and Normont are on completely different pages haha)
The group looked across the street toward the old gnomes store while remaining perfectly concealed in the shadows.
Lokilia, Dev and Quinn noted two people standing at the base of the side stairs leading up to the second story; on the left was the young woman they had spoken with at Normonts Grandfathers and on the right was a young man possibly eighteen or nineteen looking about constantly. Lokilia also noted the bat roosting beneath the eaves.
Normont-
Normont noted two people standing at the base of the side stairs leading up to the second story; on the left was a leather and metal clad duergar with blades and Hooks festooning their form and on the right was a tall grey figure which reminded Normont very much of the things they had faced in the ancient library. Roosting beneath the eaves hanging from a long tail was a scaly olive green form resembling a horned and scaled gibbon of sorts.
Atop the roof was a figure robed in gray carrying a large crossbow which it was being randomly pointed at passersby.......
"Pass me another piece of paper, please", Normont whispers to Dev as he taps him on the shoulder to get his attention, hoping he can hear him under the effects of Lokilia's spell.
Lokilia watches quietly, waiting for Normont to finish whatever he is doing with the paper. She keeps a particular eye on the bat, knowing from past experience it may be somehow spying for the people at the shop. (Perception if needed: 8)
Normont accepts the paper and once again uses his magical tinkering to create an image. This time it depicts the people and creatures he can see as they actually are, so the others get to see what they are really dealing with.
"Two by the stairs up, one under the eaves and one on the roof", he whispers pointing at each in turn on the page
He then thinks whether they can circle around to get a view of the other side of the store without going out into the open.
(OOC: Is there a route to get to the back without being in view of the crossbow person?)
(I want to sure I’m connecting the dots. Correct me if I’m wrong: the young woman messenger from this morning is actually a duergar, the bat might be a quasit, the 18 year-old is whatever those library things were, and there’s an invisible crossbow marksman on the roof? And they all are protected by more or less permanent illusions/invisibility?)

“Okay, let’s do that!” Dev scratches his head. His imagination gets the best of him sometimes.

The group moved up to the corner of the alley under the shade of Lokalias enchantment and peered out.

Dev quietly passes Normont a piece of paper.
