Neph says “Myles, what the hell does this thing do? Cotton Candy maker?” He’s puzzled, bending down and looking at it all over but unable to determine.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
A smile tugs at the lips of the investigator. "I honestly don't know, but I assume the machines power some of the attractions here, not sure yet if it would be a good idea to let Siszhu and the rhinoceros...disable them."
When To'Kurr looks to see where the slide came from, he notices that it turns to the left around a corner and cannot see really anything beyond that. Above him though is a 3' diameter pipe that hangs from the ceiling. It appears to have a plug in the bottom of it.
To'Kurr blinks his eyes a few times, willing his mind to come into focus as he takes a closer look at the pipe and plug. Is it a plug that can be pulled out from this side or from the other side? Something that when opened might create a deluge of liquid to pour down upon everyone?
Necyra is in the little magical engine room, oblivious to whatever those outside the room are doing. Seeing no sort of controls or switches, she next walks 360 degrees around the machine, looking for any sort of power cord that she could trip on pull out of a wall socket.
Siszhu spurs Necyra's rhino towards the bottom of the slide, attempting to have the beast climb up it. And to no ones surprise, the rhino gets a few feet on it and slides right back down, making no progress.
To'Kurr pulls out the large plug of the 3' pipe, and nothing happens. It is dark inside.
Necyra does not find any power cord of any sort, these are obviously magically running.
Siszhu grumbles but climbs off rhino so that he can get behind and push to try to help it get up the slide. "If we're under the things then maybe we should be up there?" he asks of anyone who happens to be around and listening. "Help get the rhino up there so we can keep looking..."
“Every adventurer worth their weight in corn dogs and cotton candy knows that the bad dudes are always deep down in the dungeon, Siszhu love. I bet that’s where we’ll find the missing rug rats. I vote we look further around this level, rather than try to go up one level.” Necyra adds, hopefully playfully as to not offend Siszhu and provoke his well earned rage.
The investigator nods in agreement with Necyra. "Perhaps simply start working our way through this level first, I suppose we're just looking for the missing children and Happy Jack anyway. Go ahead and pick any door you want Siszhu."Myles suggests to the massive mounted Yuan-Ti.
"But the slides don't work from down here," Siszhu grumbles. It is a grumble, definitely not a pout.
"Fine... We look around here," Siszhu says as he turns his head left and right to see what there is to see other than the slide. He doesn't see anything besides machinery he doesn't understand and nobody seems to be trying to break so he says "C'mon" to the rhino and head back out to find more doors to explore through.
Having been prompted by Myles to pick any door he wants, Siszhu leads the rhino carefully around the big hole in the floor... resists the urge to try to push the rhino into the hole... and then to the door on the south of that room, on the left or western side. "Rhino Ram Activate!" he shouts and points and... waits to see if the rhino has a clue or just sits there not understanding common like some common beast.
The rhino reluctantly gets led around the room, periodically looking to Necyra for reassurance as he does. When faced with the closed door, it just stands there. Until Necyra translates for him and you'd swear you saw a smile come across those rhino lips.. and he rams down the next door.
Even though To'Kurr had opened it and then closed it earlier, apparently this is the preferred method for Siszhu. He is now in the darkened corridor that the old man saw earlier. The yuan-ti sees another pair of those 5" diameter holes on either side of him along the corridor, and further down it appears the hall opens up into a room.
Siszhu walks in carefully but then peers directly into first one and then the other of the 5" holes trying to see if there is anything to see. (Investigation: Nat 1 for a total of 0!) Seeing nothing, and assuming there is no detrimental effects from his attempts, Siszhu reach his hand into one, then the other. He probably he larger than the average hand so not sure he can even get that inside but he will poke and prod as he can, even putting his mouth up to it and calling out "Hellloooooooooooo?"
To'Kurr watches Siszhu for a few moments, trying to make sense of his investigative style.
"Who, man, that's a sure way to lose, like a whole finger, man," To'Kurr says. "Total bummer. Never put your finger where you wouldn't put your tongue, man. Do you dig?"
To'Kurr then moves into the hall to back up the barbarian, taking a look at the holes himself to see if they're the same as the other ones or if these might actually be an imminent danger.
"Really deep holes, man," To'Kurr says after taking a look over Siszhu's shoulder. He loses interest in the holes and moves down the hall to get a better look at the room.
“Hey man, if you were to disarm traps like that, you wouldn’t be around very long…. What is going on here?” He looks into the holes, smells, and listens, trying to detect anything out of the ordinary.

To’Kurr looks up the slide to see if he can make out how long they are and what kind of space is above.
Just to be thorough, and he always preferred to be, Myles moves over to the second machine that To'Kurr found and examines that too.

Giggling, Necyra translates Siszhu's comment to the rhino (from common to rhinoese)...
