Out of the forest emerge a small war band of three hobgoblins and two wolves. The lead hobgoblin, flanked by wolves, is slightly larger and better equipped than the other two. The leader is carrying burlap sacks drenched in blood. The two other hobgoblins are half carrying and half dragging a human with hands bound behind his back. The human has no armor and is clothed with loose garments, tied at various joints. The human man doesn't appear to be injured and walks with back straight and erect, as if defying his captivity by sheer will.
Rindelk, frustrated at missing, fires another bolt at the little goblin priest of Maglubiyet after putting his journal down long enough to aim properly. The goblin, demanding sacrifice and bloodshed for Maglubiyet, becomes the first to be sacrificed in this new round of combat.
The Hobgoblin leader, the other hobgoblin and the wolves all stop in their tracks taking in the situation. They appear to be waiting for King Grol to catch up to them.
King Grol runs the rest of the way to the Hobgoblin Leader and barks commands while shoving each of the hobgoblins in the direction of the castle. The two hobgoblins release the human prisoner and draw their weapons. With a word from the Hobgoblin Leader, the wolves start to snarl and growl, crouched ready to pounce forward.
(The bound human prisoner continues to watch the situation unfold. Leek's turn again.)
Katerielle will step up on the right side of her friend smile and cast Thorn Whip Attack 7 and possible damage 5 against King Grol hopefully pulling him 10 feet back towards our group.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

(She would have come out expecting melee with her shield still on her arm, no spells with range, and she can't hit a barn with the crossbow)
Katerielle takes the dodge action.

(Kitryn's turn)
Kit just waits and wont attack until they look like they are going to attack.

Hobgoblin 1 brandishes his long sword and looks to Hobgoblin 2, waiting. (holding a dash action)
(Rindelk, Elila and Katerielle next)
"Well, come on then! Who wants to die first?"
Elila readies herself for the nearest bad guy to come closer. When the luckless being comes within reach, she'll poke a hole in it.

The hobgoblin leader attacks Elila in return...
Longsword Attack: 16 Damage: 5
... but Elila deflects his blow just as easily.
(Kitryn's turn)
