"Safe travels, friend. We'll pay you and your people a visit when the time is right."
He then rejoins the party after watching Droop head for the exit. He walked in the room and stands beside Jurgen as Kimberly anoints the kobold with her blessings. He unclips Sir Roderick's longsword from his belt, kneels and holds the hilt to his forehead. With his eyes closed, he whispers a silent prayer and attempts to channel Sir Roderick's bravery.
"I'm ready, if you are Jurgen." Quinn pats Jurgen on the shoulder, locks eyes with Kimberly and motions towards the door. He quietly steps beside Syzygy and whispers to them "Do you want the honors again? Or shall I take the lead this time around?"

"Thank you for the blessing. With that I'll take the lead." Jurgen will take lead outside the North door and when everyone is stacked up behind him and ready, he will open the door.
Jurgen carefully opens the door, his muscles braced for another fight.
It's... unoccupied. It appears to be some sort of wizard’s workshop. A large worktable is set up with alembics, retorts, distillation coils, and other alchemical devices, all of them stewing and bubbling away. Bookshelves are crowded with sheaves of parchment and strange-looking tomes. The air is filled with soft bubbling and dripping sounds. Another door leads east.
Quinn whispers. "Have a look. I'll watch the other door."
He keeps close to the wall, holding Sir Roderick's longsword in a two handed grip. He places his ear to the door, listening for anything on the other side. He then examines the door to see if it's trapped.

The books and notes scattered around the room are basic texts on alchemy. Between his Arcana skills, his artificer knowledge, and his brewing acumen, Jurgen can tell the apparatus is set up to brew a potion of invisibility — he also can tell that this setup will never work (not that Jurgen knows how to successfully brew such things.)
Among the books is a tome written in Dwarvish (which Jurgen can read). The journal of an adventurer named Urmon, it describes the history of the lost mine of Phandelver and the Forge of Spells. There's a lot of info here, and may be worth looking at later.
Quinn examines the door. No traps that he can find. Listening, he hears nothing. And then something. A chair scraping, papers shuffling, some sudden spirited activity of some sort.
Bryony moves into the room and studies the alchemy equipment. Her eyes go wide. She's never seen anything like this before. As Jurgen and Kimberley gather up the important documents and journals, Bryony will hang toward the back as Quinn approaches the other door in the room.
As soon as Quinn hears the chair shuffle and the activity beyond the door, he snaps his head to the party and puts a hand out motioning them to stop. He uses his outstretched hand to indicate that someone is walking in the next room. He beckons them to move forward and prepare for entry.
Once the group is ready he silently mouths "3...2...1..." and then opens the door.
IF someone else wants to be first to enter, Quinn will open the door and step aside to provide space.
OTHERWISE, Quinn will open the door and enter the breach.
