Tessa blasts the Redbrand (#3) attacking Kimberly with a streaking beam of crackling blue energy. The ruffian falls face down in the weeds, quite dead. She then steps back about 25 feet to the east.
Redbrand #1 continues to try to take down Quinn: #1 Shortsword Attack vs. Quinn: 22. Hit: 6 piercing damage.
#2 spins, alarmed that Kimberly's attacker has been felled, and takes a swipe at Kimberly, instead: #2 Shortsword Attack vs. Kimberly: 8. Hit: 5 piercing damage.
Jurgen's attacker continues to try to wear down Jurgen: #4 Shortsword Attack vs. Jurgen: 16. Hit: 7 piercing damage.
Jurgen's dagger finds its mark this time, slashing his red-cloaked attacker across his forearm, but not enough to stop him.
Kimberly decks the goon attacking her with a blackened undercut, oozing with dark energy. She nearly kills him on the spot. Nevertheless, he shakily continues his assault.
Quinn runs through his marked foe, killing them.
Two down, two wounded (one quite severely), plus the drunk. Their courage looks like it is beginning to waver, but they continue their fight for now.
Syzygy, Tessa, and Bryony may act next! (Tessa is 40 feet removed from the nearest Redbrand, but in direct sight of them. Syzygy is about 15 feet away from all three.)
Stepping between Jurgen and Quinn, Bryony makes short work of the Redbrand tangling with Quinn. She sinks her knife twice into his ribs, killing him instantly.
The last sober Redbrand, engaged with Jurgen, begins to reassess his position. The other Redbrand is still rummaging through the cart, where he pulls out a brand-new mining pick.
But Syzygy and Tessa may act next! (Tessa is 50 feet removed from the hostile Redbrand, but in direct sight of him. Syzygy is about 15 feet away.)

Tessa advances a bit to be within range, raises her orb, and uses it to conjure a Minor Illusion of a bestial screeching roar between the remaining Redbrands. "Phandalin is no home for thieves!" she shouts, not sure if the bandits can even hear her over the noise.
