"Ah, Afellow bard I see, how goes it, ma'am?" Marwan notes, pulling out his own lute, "Do you care to play a song together? it sounds like fun to me." He notes, lightheartedly, uninterested in the contest presented. Hopes to gain some trust from the gnome by playing a song with her.

"I am always up for a bit of song and fun!" she replies to Marwan, but she shakes her head at Xivros. "No, I am not hear for tickets or eating. I just like to watch."
She starts strumming a lively tune, and then points to the contestants lining up. "I am sure you have enough tickets to join, correct?"

"Ah reckon I do for now." Xivros grins at the toe -taping beat and offers his hand to the nearest passer-by. "Care to take a twirl?" asked with a wink. He'll dance alone if no one joins in, the steps of a bouncy folk dance with turns, flicks, and kicks that can be done with a partner or without.
Persuasion to find a partner 15 performance to dance 16
An older lady and what appears to be her daughter are caught by Xivros' charms, and each takes a turn dancing with him. That draws a small crowd, and others join in. The gnome bard smiles wide, and breaks into a more lively toon. The mood of the carnival certainly improves!

With a rural sensibility to his manners, Xiv is a hint more of a flirt with the older woman - though well within polite bounds - and more formally charming with what he guesses to be her daughter. He's happy to change partners as the dance requires, but makes a special point of thanking the two ladies with bow and a grin. "Much obliged to you both. Ah hope good luck and humor follows you the rest of the day."
He compliments the two bards as well before looking toward the eating contest now that he's worked up an appetite.

The contest table is piled high with small, glazed cupcakes, each filled with a dollop of berry custard. The goal is simple: eat as many cupcakes as you can within 60 seconds.
There are 3 others competing at this time: a tiny halfling girl, an old haregon who keeps looking at his watch, and an ogre that appears to be the fan favorite.
To speed things up a little in this format, please make me about 10 Constitution rolls.

The contest moderator, a cheery goblin in a very large, colorful hat, lines everyone up at a table on the stage, complete with a tray full of faerie cakes.
"Rules are simple, folk. Eat as many cupcakes as you can. The winner will get an exciting prize! On your marks, get set, go!"
All four contestants start off strong. Then they slow down, but only a bit. After 30 seconds, each has eaten about 10 of the small, delicious cakes.
Another 15 seconds in, and the halfling is showing signs of struggle. All have now eaten 15 cakes.
Cake 16 proves easy enough for all.
Cake 17, Xivros is feeling pretty full, but the ogre shows no signs of slowing. The other two struggle, but shove them in.
Cake 18, though, hurts. Xivros feels sick, and the ogre turns a little green himself. But both muttle through.
Cake 19, the halfling forces down, but you hear a strange sound come from inside her.
Cake 20, the halfling seems to get her second wind, while the haregon burps loudly, somewhat embarrassed!
Cake 21 does it for the halfling, who falls back, custard all over her face, as she signals defeat. The rabbit-man also looks about done, but he pushes himself, trying to squeeze in one more.
Cake 22, proves too much for both the Xivros and the haregon, who falls face first into the remaining cakes and simply groans. Xivros is feeling very stuffed, but will recover soon.
And with that, the contest is over. The ogre cheers as he is announced the winner. "As a reward, good sire," the goblin says loud for all to hear, "you are awarded this magical faerie cake! It will make you invisible, when you eat it. Not sure why such a handsome young ogre ould want to do that, but here is your prize! Remember folks, we do this every hour, so come back to watch the fun, or even join in if you care to try!"
The tall, thin man could pack quite a lot of food away, though it was a shame to shovel such tasty treats in without really enjoying them. "Congratulations, friend." Xivros offers the winning Ogre. He'd probably need a couple of hours before he'd want more sweets. But maybe a nice beer to balance it out. Turning his attention to Marwan who had been chatting with the gnomish musician, "Alright, where to next?'
"Silversong Lake and the gondola swans, it is very close by, and it's on the way, plus the swans could be useful to our goals, you know?" Marwan notes, in a friendly way, getting up from his seat near the gnome, "Though, they are probably alive, which would be a bit of a wrench, but we'll still get a good view of the park and see if anything stands out" Marwan adds, he waves goodbye to the gnome as he leaves.

"Uh, right. Sure. Lead the way." Xivros scratches his head, not sure what to make of some of what Marwan was talking about but willing to follow nonetheless. Besides, he needed to walk around to settle his stomach.
Enormous swans glide through the water here, pulling ornate wooden gondolas draped in flowers. The swans disappear into banks of silver mist as they wend their way down the river. A jetty extends ahead, at the end of which a waiting swan preens its feathers.
Riding a gondola costs 1 ticket punch. Each ride is an hour long; it starts and ends at the jetty, and the gondola follows the river that marks the perimeter of the carnival. Each gondola holds up to eight standard sized riders.

“One moment please!” you hear someone call out. “Hold the ride Laddie!” the voice implore with a hint of annoyance creeping in. Locating the source of the voice, you see a stocky Halfling with a mop of mid-length hair, curly and red. He is clean shaven, save for a pair of mighty mutton chops adorning his cheeks, and he carries a backpack laden with weapons and other adventuring gear.
As he presents his ticket to be stamped and clambers into the gondola without waiting for an invitation, he introduces himself, “Rory be me given name. But ye might know me by me stage name Raging Rory Redtop,” he offers followed by a long pause for dramatic effect.
"Nice to meet you, Rory, you can call me Marwan" Marwan notes, he will comply with the attendant, he listens closely to the swan when they depart, and he speaks to his fellow red-haired halfling with a welcoming smile, despite the rudeness of the intrusion, he doesn't seem to mind.
