A Homebrew Campaign, DM'd by the one and only me! It's a concept I've been toying with for awhile, debating on doing it as an irl campaign with my group but I've decided to post it here instead. This will be taking place on DnDBeyond entirely (character sheets, RP, combat, etc.) and has two-to-three stages, depending on how active the players are and if this doesn't immediately flop because of inactivity. I may eventually move it to Discord, depending on how comfortable I get with the Avrae bot. The first stage will be taking place here, of course. Each stage will basically be a shorter campaign and the entire thing (I'm estimating, as I've never run this before and based off what I've seen with other posts/player activity) will last around a year and a half.
The Catch:
Chaos reigns. Chaos rules. The world was born from Chaos, and it shall end in Chaos. At least, that's what the writings on the wall next to you say. They were scratched out with hundreds of faded white lines etched into the smooth sandstone, the words themselves barely legible. From what you can remember, it is true. Humanity was always a plague upon the earth but like cockroaches, they were impossible to get rid of completely. Finally, the gods and goddesses from the heavens above the hells below stepped forward. The world was torn apart with a frenzy, pieced together fragments by fragments and the shadows of evil were put to rest. Or were they?
An experiment held by the gods, taking the worst and the best of humanity and throwing them together in one blazing clash of good and evil, except it's not as simple as that. In order to determine if humanity should be spared or if purging the world of all races will be the better solution, they erase the memories of you and your companions. Blank slates, for the challenges and harsh conditions they throw at you to shape you into something new, to see if you will follow the footprints of your ancestors or pave a new path. It is your decision. Will you be the saviour of humanity, or its downfall?
Setting: A modern-medieval world by the name of Zalicu. The first stage is in a maze, the second stage is outside(? 👀), and the third stage is undisclosed.
I will be looking for 4-5 players, preferably with a little experience at least but if you're new, I don't mind. This will be a RP-heavy campaign with some combat. Honestly, it would make me happier to see people simply RPing out a situation without the need of heavy dice rolling.
You only need to commit to the first stage, if you can do the second and third great! If not, I will be adding former character applicants later in the campaign so watch out for a PM from me, even if you didn't get in. I would like if everybody could post at least once a day to keep this campaign rolling and if you can't post that day, or for awhile, please PM me so I can make plans accordingly.
More Information (About Me/House Rules/Etc):
-I am a first time DM, I'm hoping to run this as smoothly as possible while also learning more about online D&D. I've done a few irl campaigns (not as a DM) and have always enjoyed it. -Characters will die. I will not fudge dice rolls. Be prepared for this, this campaign will be hard and grimy. Even if your character dies, you are not completely out of it. I will PM you some more details about what's going to happen, concerning your character.
-All damage and health is rolled, for monsters and players alike.
Applications!:
We will be starting at level three, multiclassing is allowed, within reason. Homebrew is allowed but please PM it to me first. All sourcebooks besides Spelljammer and I would prefer if the races weren't too crazy. Unfortunately, I will be unable to share any content, so plan accordingly for that.
Anything underlined is required and/or will be very important towards picking applicants. The more unique yours is, the higher the chances of getting picked are.

Anything I should know about you that you deem important (feel free to PM me!):
Uncle Tra-jester Ucilaz. CN Air Genasi, Outlander, Cavalier-fighter. White as a cloud stormy blue eyes his personal gusts blow straight up, as if from the ground.
Backstory
Tragedy has followed me from a young age. I had a twin sister who died at home while we were little. My mother's family were shipping merchants 'Windy' was in the crow's nest always on the lookout for land or trouble. When my sister and I were born she said we took the wind out of her sails. After my sister died it ended up just being me and dad until he got conscripted to fight in a group of mercenaries. I wanted to find my Uncle but wandering for so long well, I don't really think I needed anyone to raise me after all.
Personality: I’m always picking things up, absently fiddling with them, and sometimes accidentally breaking them. I’m driven by a wanderlust that led me away from home. Ideals: Nature. The natural world is more important than all the constructs of civilization. (Neutral) Bonds: I will bring terrible wrath down on the evildoers who destroyed my homeland. Flaws: I remember every insult I’ve received and nurse a silent resentment toward anyone who’s ever wronged me.
Stats Point buy
Greatest Fears. Claustrophobia, squeezing through tight underground spaces is a real panic inducer.
Goals. I'd like to see an alignment shift to CG, we are not better on our own- as Uncle Ucilaz believes. I'd like to role-play the struggle to trust someone in a personally difficult situation such as dealing with his phobia.
RP Example
Uncle U- "What do ya mean yer goin with the soldiers? They're not soldiers, they're crazy. What soldier fights with a spiked chain?"
U's Dad- "Listen yer old enough to find yer way to my brother's, when ya get there tell 'em ya need help. Quit yer tears we've had enough of those in this house."
Merc Leader- "Com'on get a move on it yer leadin' us to the govner's or mayor's or elder's what ever this town has, let's go!!! And leave the freak."
Uncle U- "Go on dad get on with it, leave..." tears wiped away, face stern. Quietly as his dad walks away, "I'll make my own way."
What do you want to see from me, as a DM? (Not required, but certainly helpful). Reciprocation of commitments
How often are you available? Daily no set time usually morning. CST
Experience with D&D. Years of TT and more recently PBP
Anything I should know about you that you deem important (feel free to PM me!). I often play a support character... trying to expand.
Thanks for deciding to try your hand at DMing! Really love everything you put up as a DM and as the application process. Hope I'll be able to apply the next time you run something. Best to you and your players!
I love the concept. Will be updating this post with more information, but will likely try to roll a druid or a ranger. More to come within the next 24hrs or so. Cheers!

Character Name: Nefirith Torzalan
Race: Tiefling
Class: Monk (Way of the Astral Self)
Background: Charlatan
Backstory (Be open to adding bits and pieces to tailor it to the campaign's setting. It can be as loose or detailed as you want but do know this is a big factor I am looking at when choosing): Nefirith doesn't know where she comes from, and she doesn't care. She remembers nothing of the parents who left her outside a monastery as an infant, so they mean nothing to her. Sometimes, though, she wishes they'd chosen a different place. Although she took well to the fighting she learned there, pretty much everything else about being a monk eluded her. Tranquility, harmony, peace, she could never get the hang of any of that. So really, it shouldn't have come as a surprise when the elder monks kindly told her that perhaps her place was not with them, and that she should find what it really was.
Well, she found it. She fell in with scammers, con artists, and swindlers, and took to the trade like a fish to water. She's learned all the best ways to get someone to give her their money, and how to cut and run when things go bad, accomplices be damned. Despite running with criminals, most of them have learned not to work with her, because in that line of work, you need at least a bit of honor when it comes to your fellow thieves. Nefirith has none. You need to be able to trust that the people you're working with won't throw you under the bus for their own gain, and Nefirith will. She's never made a bridge she hasn't burnt, and she tells herself she likes it that way.
Personality: Nefirith is flirtatious, carefree, and smooth-talking. She tells people what they want to hear, and holds them at arms' length without letting them realize that's what's happening. Beneath her smiles and silver-tongued words lies a desperation for affection she denies and pretends doesn't exist. She sees rejection or abandonment as an inevitability, and feels that her only option is to leave before the other person can. She lies too easily, even when she doesn't need to.
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Brief Description: A tall, lavender-skinned tiefling with silver eyes and chin-length dark purple hair. She is leanly muscled, and her ears and horns are both adorned with jewelry.
Stats (rolled on here, no rerolling of ones. I will be checking. If they are undesirable, use point buy. The only rerolls of ability scores I will be allowing is if you do not have a single stat 13 or above.): Ability scores: 15151051014
Greatest Fears (Be detailed! I need a little something to work with.): Vulnerability, emotional or physical. The idea that she's intrinsically unlovable, or unworthy of love, be it platonic, familial, or romantic.
Goals (For the player, not the character. What do you want to see happen with your character? How do you want them to develop or turn out at the end of the first stage? Personal short term goals of your characters, nothing terribly big or flashy.): It's only the first stage, so naturally character arcs can't be finished yet, but I'd like her to open up to people a bit, and move her alignment closer to CG. Forced to work with this party for the long haul, my goal is for her to learn that abandonment isn't an inevitability, and that some people will stay if given the chance.
RP Example **With Character** The tiefling makes herself comfy on the table and flashes a sharp-toothed grin at the group. "Name's Nefirith," she says, crossing and uncrossing her legs, drumming her fingers against the table. "You need something punched in the face, I'm your girl. You need something charmed, I'm your girl there, too. You could say I have a varied skillset." _____
How often are you available?: Pretty much every day, at erratic times. I'm a student, so I'll let you know if I've got exams or whatever that'll cause me to be busier.
Experience with D&D: Been playing for a little over three years now. I've played in a few PbP games on here, though they all fizzled out eventually.
Anything I should know about you that you deem important (feel free to PM me!): Nothing comes to mind, but I'd like to make it clear that however much of a That Girl my character sounds like, I swear on my honor I won't play her as one. I will do what she would do only as long as it doesn't hinder my fellow players. Promise.

Character Name: Xarene T'sond
Race: Half-Drow
Class: Sorcerer
Background: Investigator
Backstory (Be open to adding bits and pieces to tailor it to the campaign's setting. It can be as loose or detailed as you want but do know this is a big factor I am looking at when choosing): Xarene was born with a natural inclination to view the otherside, spirits friendly and not so friendly making themselves known to her. She was a peculiar child due to this and was often witnessed seemingly talking to herself. As she grew older she learned how to control her powers better, being able to call upon spirits to answer inquiries, although they were not always helpful. To an outsiders point of view she simply had a knack for problem solving. She took some initiative when she came of age, becoming a proper investigator, although the spirits still do the heavy lifting, when they feel like it that is. She is often accompanied by a spirit by the name of Monty, a joke cracking human who died at the age of 27. He's good fun to have around and likes wisecrack or gently bully her.
Personality: She has a dry and sometimes bleak sense of humor due to the manner of her jobs and varied spirits she encounters. She isn't easily phased either so it takes a bit to actually get under her skin. All that aside she's a bleeding heart and always wants to help where she can, a surprise to some due to her half-drow nature.
Alignment: Chaotic-Good
Brief Description: Lavender skin, a darker purple scar across her right cheek, silver freckles, white eyes, and silver hair.
Stats (rolled on here, no rerolling of ones. I will be checking. If they are undesirable, use point buy. The only rerolls of ability scores I will be allowing is if you do not have a single stat 13 or above.): Ability scores: 16136131511
Greatest Fears (Be detailed! I need a little something to work with.): After an encounter with a darker spirit she's become afraid of complete darkness (ie magical darkness) and becomes uneasy when in silence. She is also afraid to get truly close to people as she is usually considered odd by most. This of course makes her avoidant in romantic endeavors.
Goals (For the player, not the character. What do you want to see happen with your character? How do you want them to develop or turn out at the end of the first stage? Personal short term goals of your characters, nothing terribly big or flashy.): I'd like her to get more comfortable to living people, her best friend being a spirit isnt good for her I think.
RP Example **With Character** (Nothing like a whole story, just a little bit so I can get an idea of how you RP and a little bit to know your character.):
Xarene hurries down the street, package in one hand, coffee in the other. She's late opening her office and knows a client is waiting on her. Monty in comparison gently floats along with his hands in his pockets but keeps pace with her nonetheless.
"The Barista was flirting with you," he says casually. "I know," she says back, the words coming out a bit breathy. "You have to stop whinging when you get compliments, it's why people think you're off." "People think I'm off cause I talk to myself!" she yells back, causing a few people to turn her way. She sighs. "Just drop it," she grumbles.
What do you want to see from me, as a DM? (Not required, but certainly helpful): For you to have fun, no use doing it if you don't enjoy it, right?
How often are you available?: Everyday, I work from home so I'm at the computer often.
Experience with D&D: I have over 8 years of experience with dnd and have been doing and running pbp's for over a year.
Anything I should know about you that you deem important (feel free to PM me!): Nothing that I can think of!
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Character Name: Zephyr Hunstmane
Race: Tabaxi
Class: Ranger - either Monster Slayer or Hunter w/ a small dip in rogue
Background: Urban Bounty Hunter
Backstory (Be open to adding bits and pieces to tailor it to the campaign's setting. It can be as loose or detailed as you want but do know this is a big factor I am looking at when choosing): There lives a tabaxi named Zephyr Huntsmane. Born into the formidable Huntsmane family of monster hunters, Zephyr was anything but typical. Their boundless curiosity and unwavering optimism set them apart, as they approached their family's profession with a unique perspective. While the Huntsmanes were known for their relentless pursuit of creatures that threatened the city, Zephyr believed in understanding rather than eradicating. They studied the histories of the monsters they hunted, formed unlikely bonds with creatures, and became known as the "Optimistic Hunter," advocating for coexistence when possible, but ultimately taking his job seriously enough to take on the grim tasks that often presented themselves.
Personality: Inquisitive, socially naive when he's not on the job, it's almost as if he need a trigger to be truly attuned to the gravity of a situation. He likes food and over indulges when he's on "vacation"... "vacation" is any time he doesn't have a bounty or quest. He assumes the best of those he travels with and likewise, tries to avoid killing when possible. He values the balance of nature and so on.
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Brief Description: Standing at around 5ft 9in, Zephyr is lean but muscular and cover
Stats (rolled on here, no rerolling of ones. I will be checking. If they are undesirable, use point buy. The only rerolls of ability scores I will be allowing is if you do not have a single stat 13 or above.): Ability scores: 10101313166
Greatest Fears (Be detailed! I need a little something to work with.): He harbors a deep fear of seeing the delicate balance of nature disrupted beyond repair. This fear stems from their understanding of the interconnectedness of all living things. They worry that the rampant hunting and extermination of creatures, whether malicious or misunderstood, could upset the equilibrium of the natural world. Zephyr fears that, if not careful, the current descent into chaos of the world will create unforeseen consequences for all creatures, leaving irreparable damages outside of the realm of fixing.
Goals (For the player, not the character. What do you want to see happen with your character? How do you want them to develop or turn out.. Mechanically I would like to see him to become a bit of a skill monkey, scout and ranged threat. RP wise, I would love to find moments to humble him and give him opportunities to mature, not make him bitter necessarily, but gain a greater sense of urgency or even find a new more directed purpose to contribute to a better society.
RP Sample:
In the dimly lit tavern, Zephyr Huntsmane sat at a corner table, his feline eyes scanning the room for a potential client. His optimism and playful nature always found a way to shine, even in the bleakest of places. Spotting a grizzled man nursing a drink and casting furtive glances, Zephyr approached with a wink and a smile.
"Good eve, my friend! Seems like you've got a bit of a problem," Zephyr purred, his tail swishing playfully. "And I'm your solution. Tell me, what kind of trouble has you seeking the services of the Optimistic Hunter today?"
The man's eyes narrowed suspiciously as he studied Zephyr. "You're that Huntsmane, right? The one who's always talking about understanding the monsters. I've got a gnoll problem in my village. They've been raiding us for weeks, but I don't want them all dead."
Zephyr leaned in, his voice a conspiratorial whisper. "Ah, a man with a heart! I like that. Now, let's chat about your gnoll issue. We can find a way to make them see reason or maybe even negotiate a truce. Or... is this a kill 'em all, type of request? hmm"
What do you want to see from me, as a DM? (Not required, but certainly helpful). Commitment to the game, open dialogue on what works or doesn't, open to creativity within reason of course!
How often are you available? Daily no set time usually morning/early afternoon. More frequent on the weekdays then weekends
Experience with D&D. About 5 years of table top/pbp experience combined. A few on and off DMing experiences, typically pbp on discord.
Thanks for deciding to try your hand at DMing! Really love everything you put up as a DM and as the application process. Hope I'll be able to apply the next time you run something. Best to you and your players!
Good news/bad news: looks like the DM may have ghosted one of the other PbPs I'm in🙁 BUT that means I can apply to a cool campaign idea with a bunch of applicants I'd love to get into a campaign with!😁
Character Name: Tashia Halfblood (AKA Tashia Armbreaker, Tashia Skullcracker, Tashia the Terrible)
Race: Half-Orc
Class: Barbarian 1/ Monk 1/ Fighter 1 (with long-term plans to subclass Champion and/or multiclass Paladin if character development makes it reasonable)
Background: Folk Hero
Backstory: Tashia has only the vaguest recollections of the man who sold her to Davin Tull. He might have been her father, or maybe not. Nor does she remember why Tull decided to buy the emaciated Half-Orc with dirty, unkempt hair and clothes. He certainly couldn't have anticipated how willful she would be, how she'd rather endure his savage beatings than clean the stables or work in the tavern.
She might have been ten when he took her to her first pit fight, armed her with a stick, and set a feral dog on her. He thought that if she put up a good enough fight he might be able to recoup his money.
He never expected her to win.
After that, things changed. Tull stopped expecting her to do chores around the inn and she started getting enough food. After a few more fights he even got her some training. Once she reached her teens she switched from fighting animals to fighting other people, first in bare knuckle brawls and later in as a gladiatrix.
Personality: Externally, Tashia exudes bravado. Inside, she's a frightened little girl who's been abandoned, used, and abused her entire life. She has no illusions about the nature of her relationships; she's a commodity to be traded and, when she's broken and used up, she'll be cast aside and forgotten. She's seen it happen to too many others to doubt it. When she kills an opponent in the ring, others view her as vicious or bloodthirsty. In her mind, it's a mercy.
Alignment: Neutral (leaning towards Neutral Good)
Brief Description: Tashia is short for a Half-Orc, standing only 170cm/5'7". Her build is muscular, but not exceptionally so. Her black hair is worn short and starting to gray at the temple. She favors clothing in bright, even gaudy, colors that show a fair amount of skin (you have to get the crowd's attention, after all). When she fights, she moves with the catlike grace of a dancer.
Stats: See Above
Greatest Fears: Tashia's greatest fear is rejection and abandonment. To try avoid this, she tries not to open herself up to anyone. She doesn't always succeed, and when the inevitable betrayal comes she closes herself off a little bit more. On a more visceral level, Tashia's never quite gotten over the memory of her first pit fight. She's frightened around dogs and terrified of wolves. Her nightmares are often filled with visions of long muzzles and snapping jaws.
Goals: Tashia's been used by people her whole life. I'd love to see her get to a place where she can learn to trust people and have relationships that are based on genuine caring and not just see interactions with others as transactional.
RP Example:
Tashia eyes the drunk fan with suspicion, carefully trying to calculate what he wants from her and what she can get in return. As much as she hated the story, he'd already called the memory to mind. Maybe if she drank enough she wouldn't have the nightmares.
"Actually, it was a dog not a dire wolf and I was probably closer to ten. Buy me a drink, I'll tell you the story."
What do you want to see from me, as a DM?: The same thing I want from any leader. When they inevitably make a mistake (we're all human), to have the courage to say so and then either tell us or ask us how we're going to fix it in the future.
How often are you available?: I can easily post at least once a day. I usually don't have a problem doing 2-3. I can sometimes get away with posting more than that on a weekday.
Experience with D&D: I've been playing 5e and PbP since January. I have in person experience with some earlier editions and other TTRPGs from before that.
Anything I should know about you that you deem important: Nothing I can think of at the moment, but will PM if I think of something.
Thanks for deciding to try your hand at DMing! Really love everything you put up as a DM and as the application process. Hope I'll be able to apply the next time you run something. Best to you and your players!
Good news/bad news: looks like the DM may have ghosted one of the other PbPs I'm in🙁 BUT that means I can apply to a cool campaign idea with a bunch of applicants I'd love to get into a campaign with!😁
How much longer will your recruitment be open?
Apologies for the late replies to anything here, the powerline outside my house went down a few nights ago. This recruitment will be closing on the eighteenth (or maybe tomorrow, depending on how long the remaining applicants think they'll take) around 8:00 AM Central Time. Glad to see you are able to make it after all!
Backstory: As a child, Oberon was a normal human boy, raised to a mother who loved and cherished him for all of the accomplishments he made throughout his youth, like his adeptness on the Viol. Speaking of the Viol, Oberon has always loved music. As a matter of fact, it's been a great source of joy for him for many, many years. The order of the instruments in harmony, the way they all work together... it's all simply beautiful to behold. He loved it so much that he went to great measures to make sure he could truly understand the beauty of it... to which he turned to the powers of a hag in order to grant him his wishes. He knew that hags were malicious creatures, but he was foolish to believe that all would be right in his escapade.
"So, you wish to understand the notes, eh sonny?"
Without a second thought, he responded. "Indeed, miss."
"Alright... how's this for a bargain. I let you hyperfixate on yer little hobby... and I take something in return. Even-Steven!"
"I do understand. Please, take anything that you must."
And from that moment on, he was cursed, both his eyes and nose removed and a hideous nothic-esque eye splitting open on his face. It was disgusting to behold, but such is the nature of the fey, cruel tricksters. Now with only a single eye, he supposed the hag never lied to him. After all, he's only able to focus on one thing now with that eye of his. After the procedure, he want back to his hometown wearing a strange new getup... especially with a newfound mask. After the dreaded day, he was still leading a rather successful life much to the dismay of the hag, accepted into a bardic college of creation to achieve his dream, even writing a few pieces of his own for orchestra performances. But who knows... the fey could still be lurking out there.
Personality: Oberon is a rather undecided individual, not choosing to take sides on much and following what he thinks is in his best interests. He maintains a calm and friendly demeanor, though is a doormat, allowing those to walk over him if it is in the meaning to keep his image up in the vein of being "polite". His poorest trait is his naivety, and his ability to accept almost any form of feedback. He also is rather stubborn, berating those that interrupt his performances with nonsense.
Alignment: Lawful Neutral
Brief Description: Oberon is a rather short and skinny young man, standing at about five-feet and two-inches. He's very pale, and has black hair, with his prominent feature being a bulbous eyes that is in place of his former two eyes and nose. He also dresses fairly exotically, and his outfit will be contained in this little spoiler box.
He wears a black tailcoat-like waistcoat, with a navy blue tuxedo top underneath it. He wears navy blue pants, with black derby shoes, while a frilled maroon bowtie is present on his neck, and on his shoulders rests a pale blue cloak. His most unique feature is the mask he wears, it looking like a traditional knight's helmet with a large, blue, heart-shaped collar sprouting from the back which is taller than the actual head. Rather strange indeed!
Stats: Listed above, but will be using point buy as they are not the best.
Greatest Fears: Being a former musician, you must think that nothing would come into harm's way for him, correct? Well... wrong. That large eyes that now rests on his face is a major cause of concern for him, as it is not only hideous to behold, but is also an easy target. And that's not to mention the malicious fey that planted it on him, it could be anywhere. Watching him, plotting capture... it makes him rather paranoid.
Goals: At the start of the game, I wish for Oberon's eye to stay concealed while he focuses on wearing his mask, and progressively through the adventure becoming more comfortable taking it off, or even having it demolished in combat. Some other plans, not involving his eye, are maybe introduce new prices that he plays, as he isn't much of a violist anymore, but rather a conductor.
RP Example: A young man sits at a desk, writing a piece of music for an orchestra that paid him good money to do such... and he thinks he's finished. Staring down at the sheet music, Oberon taps his chin and sighs.
"Venari Strigas, take three." He rolls his sleeves, flipping his cape and taking a brisk read through the sheet. May the performance commence.
Oberon tapping his music sheet with a metal conductor's baton, he tensely raises his hand, flicking the instrument in his hand as the sheet glows with a vibrant purple and red. It erupts with the violent bowing of a string quartet, this new arrangement filled with the tense sounds of a thrilling hunt, as such was the title.
The music continues, the shrill sounds of a viola out of tune pierces through the magical performance, Oberon tensing up upon the noise and ceasing the performance with a flick of his wrist... it was all perfect until that note. Groaning, he sits back down and slams his head lightly against the desk.
"Alright... that will need work, I think." And there he goes again, sitting down and going back to the unending cycle of revision and editing. Another long night for the musician, it seems.
What do you want to see from me, as a DM?: Just to provide a safe and fun environment for their players and to admit when they make a mistake, that's all! I'm not all that picky.
How often are you available?: I'm available pretty much every weekday, though weekends I'm rather busy. I can make about 2-3 posts on the weekday, but maybe about two per weekend. However, with me being in school, posting times might be off. I'll let you know if anything happens!
Experience with D&D: I've been playing D&D for about two years now, playing on and off at a game store.
Anything I should know about you that you deem important: Hm... nothing really!
Well, the posting said you were looking for 4-5 and by my count we currently have six applicants. So I think I'm gonna go ahead and pull my submission and just ask that you keep me in mind if a spot opens up in the future.
Have a great time! I'll see you around the forums!

And so it begins!
Uncle Tra-jester Ucilaz. CN
Air Genasi, Outlander, Cavalier-fighter.
(Neutral)
Bonds: I will bring terrible wrath down on the evildoers who destroyed my homeland.
Are you okay with optional class features?
I love the concept. Will be updating this post with more information, but will likely try to roll a druid or a ranger. More to come within the next 24hrs or so. Cheers!
Yes, I'm fine with that.
Character Name: Nefirith Torzalan
Race: Tiefling
Class: Monk (Way of the Astral Self)
Background: Charlatan
Backstory (Be open to adding bits and pieces to tailor it to the campaign's setting. It can be as loose or detailed as you want but do know this is a big factor I am looking at when choosing):
Nefirith doesn't know where she comes from, and she doesn't care.
The only rerolls of ability scores I will be allowing is if you do not have a single stat 13 or above.): Ability scores: 15 15 10 5 10 14
RP Example **With Character**
The tiefling makes herself comfy on the table and flashes a sharp-toothed grin at the group. "Name's Nefirith," she says, crossing and uncrossing her legs, drumming her fingers against the table. "You need something punched in the face, I'm your girl. You need something charmed, I'm your girl there, too. You could say I have a varied skillset."
_____
The only rerolls of ability scores I will be allowing is if you do not have a single stat 13 or above.): Ability scores: 16 13 6 13 15 11
"You have to stop whinging when you get compliments, it's why people think you're off."
"People think I'm off cause I talk to myself!" she yells back, causing a few people to turn her way.
The only rerolls of ability scores I will be allowing is if you do not have a single stat 13 or above.): Ability scores: 10 10 13 13 16 6
I left physical description incomplete. I'm currently looking for artwork that makes sense
Good news/bad news: looks like the DM may have ghosted one of the other PbPs I'm in🙁 BUT that means I can apply to a cool campaign idea with a bunch of applicants I'd love to get into a campaign with!😁
How much longer will your recruitment be open?
Ability scores: 12 12 16 11 15 12

No need to apologize! Sorry to hear about the outage. Just very grateful I was able to get my submission in at all.
Yikes, gonna to be using point buy on this one.
Character Name: Oberon von Seckendorff
Race: Hexblood Human
Class: Creation Bard 3
Background: Cloistered Scholar

Sigh...
Well, the posting said you were looking for 4-5 and by my count we currently have six applicants. So I think I'm gonna go ahead and pull my submission and just ask that you keep me in mind if a spot opens up in the future.
Have a great time! I'll see you around the forums!
Quick question, if I am correct, we can only use D&D Beyond to make our character sheets?
