My suggestion is we try to use the terrain to our advantage and rush in using cover, to get closer. then the ranged characters can start engaging, while the melee characters can make the last dash into range to engage.
Hey y'all. It's with a heavy heart that I have to turn this unintentional hiatus that the Bounders campaign has been on for the last few weeks into an indefinite one. My work and social life don't look to be slowing down any time soon, and I find myself struggling to maintain my presence in the various campaigns I'm in. I still love this story and all of your characters, and will hopefully be able to get this going again at some point in the future, but right now I can't put as much into running this game as you all deserve. Thanks for being awesome thus far.
Dont worry about it (: its unfortunate, but i guess we all had similar experiences already, and theres no need to rush this anyway. Just take your time (:
No worries Sphynxyy, thanks for running the game. I enjoyed being a planar traveler and playing with everyone in the group. If this starts up again I will certainly be around to play some more.
Yeah, I think we should shift things a bit in our favor before attempting to get information.
DM, could we get a little more location info?
Are we at the mouth of a canyon on the same level as the targets? or are we above them with some kind of descent between us?
The structures you mentioned, are they all around/through the canyon, or are they behind us, the way we came?
is the area around our targets clear, or are there objects/structures/terrain, that could be used for cover?
Also, if you need me to make a roll, let me know and I will make it in the game thread.

Sorry for the lack of posts atm, ill try getting into it again. Im home for a few days over easter and its a little tough to find the time.
-You guys are just outside the mouth of this canyon, on the same level as the devils
-by structures I meant the natural pillars, walls and arches carved by the wind which you've been surrounded by since coming into the claws
-there are some of those structures within the canyon, ahead of the devils, creating smaller chasms that could be used for cover

What do you think?

Our ranged characters (longbows) can already engage. I'd find cover nearby and start attacking now. The rest of us can engage as they enter our range.
If they take cover and hide, then we'll be free to move up.
Well Void's range is 120ft at best, so he will need to move forward to engage, is everyone else melee?

If I'm still in the forums when you have time again, get in touch.

I am personally in a similar situation (work and family life stress), and I cant imaging trying to DM under that kind of load.
I will hold on if or until you want to resume, its worth waiting for :)
Good luck with everything, and thank you for DMing for us.
