Maajid seems like he would be open to staying the night at the temple.
Xanrym echoes Theldrin, "Thank you, Misha. That's very generous of you. Are you certain, Maajid? I'm sure that we could take you to the inn and back here tomorrow. After all, you did hire us to escort you, and I won't feel like we've done our duty properly until we see you back on your own two feet! Perhaps you'd enjoy the company and good cheer of an inn and find it rejuvenating?"
Xanrym hasn't noticed anything too alarming since arriving in Orlane, but a sense of unease has crept over him. He imagines returning tomorrow to discover that Maajid had vanished or, worse, was there but somehow different. "One of them," as the farmer at the inn yesterday had said about his wife.
Maajid also feels uneasy, but also feels like the temple is a safe haven. He will let you decide where he sleeps. Misha adds, “I understand if you feel uneasy, let me assure you that a servant of Merikka would never let a stranger be harmed in her house.”
You all need to make the decision. Take Maajid to the Golden Grain Inn or leave him at the Temple of Merikka.
Avery feels if Maajid would prefer to stay at the temple, then perhaps it is for the best. If there is something a foot, it may be safer for him there.

Xanrym votes to take Maajid back to the inn with them since he's the one who suggested it. But he doesn't feel strongly enough to argue about it if the others disagree. After all, they haven't even seen the inn yet, and Xanrym hasn't seen or heard anything since they arrived at the temple to make him specifically concerned about its safety. He's really just trying to keep their little group of non-Orlane people together until they figure out what's going on in Orlane.
Theldrin rubs his beard with a pensive frown, feeling somewhat conflicted as to the best choice for Maajid. At first thinking the temple would be safe, now he is also considering Xanrym's point that it would still be good to keep a close eye on the trader since they were paid to escort him.
Pleasantly surprised by Liarin stepping in now to try to heal Maajid, he watches in anticipation to see what happens.
Unfortunately it’ll take a little more than first level healing spells to heal the leg. He definitely feels better. He would be happy to come with you to the inn, but still doesn’t think the temple would be a bad idea.
Avery indicates that if his injuries are as bad as they seem to be, it may be better for him to stay here in the temple with their capable hands to care for his injuries.
Assuming your taking Maajid with you, you head to the Golden Grain Inn. As the sun sets over Orlane, you see a large wooden inn. It is decorated with carvings of sheaves of wheat along the eaves of the roof. The inn was whitewashed at one time, but much of the paint has peeled. A sign picturing a golden cluster of wheat and a pitcher of beer or ale hangs over the door. A corral and stable, apparently empty, are off to the side.
As you enter you see a similar scene as before. A few patrons, most of them subdued, enjoying there drinks and keeping to themselves. A couple of groups seem to be talking and having a nice time, but the inn is clearly not a bustling place. The bartender greets you.
”Hail travelers, welcome to the Golden Grain, my names Bertram and I can get you a drink if you need. Maybe a room for the night, we can arrange that too.” He seems pleasant enough.
"Yes, a meal would be excellent!", Xanrym agrees. "We walked into town this morning and haven't really stopped for food since breakfast this morning."
Looking around the room, he asks Bertram, "Is it always this quiet? A fine place like this, I'd expect more of the farmers to gather here for a drink and to exchange news after working all day in the fields."
To all of you - "Yes of course, food, wine, meals. It's all coming right up. You have your choice of table, sit wherever you like." He shouts into the kitchen. "Dogroot!, some guests want something to eat and drink, now!" A snivelling little man comes out of the kitchen with food and wine, he gives yo all a nasty little smile. Despite the man's appearance, the food and drink is pretty good. Dogroot goes back to the kitchen
Bertrand to Xanrym - "These are simply my regulars, Sometimes others come here, and we show them a good time. But i suppose there has been less and less of those lately." He smiles. "Did you all enjoy the Temple? It really is a beautiful place isn't it?"
I pull up a chair facing the room with my back against the wall. Being distrustful until I learn more, I pull out a ration of food from my pack and drink from my water skin. I say to the group in general, "Let us see what the night brings. Tomorrow will be a new day." and I mumble, "If we're fortunate to see it."
Avery will enjoy his meal, letting it replenish his body, and enjoy an ale, but only one. He sips it, as he watches the patrons. He tries to pick up on any conversations, as well as detect anything that would seem out of the norm for an Inn (Perception: 10; Investigation: 8)
When it comes to turn in, he asks the group "Shall we meet at first light, and see what we can find?"
The other patrons in the bar are showing a growing interested in your party. That's not strange in itself, but they aren't coming up and talking to you, they are keeping their distance.
Theldrin slowly eats his dinner and takes sips from his wine, in a quiet mood for the most part. He agrees that heading to bed soon and getting an early start seems like a good plan.
I am going to finish my ration, and to Avery say, "Aye, morning it is." I'm going outside and around the building and using stealth will blend into the shadows (18), and make my way up to the roof of the inn (9). I am going to sit and quietly observe the town from this vantage point, looking for any changes in how people are acting or anything that would resemble the rumors I've heard (10)

Avery agrees, "Let's head down to the Golden Grain, and see if we can secure some rooms."

"I'm sorry, I can't easily explain why I didn't do this earlier but..." Liarin casts healing word on Maajid. 6 "I can do a little more if you need it."

"I could do with a meal after the traveling. Definitely need a room though."
