Noticing the two Derro guards in front of the townhouse, Theldrin ducks out of site around a street corner and waits to coordinate with the rest of the party.
Xanrym simply points out that if The Company wants to rescue Irennaste, they may need to talk to or capture at least one of the Derro to find out where Irennaste was taken. Looking to Khessa, in particular, he says, "Irennaste's take-over of House Dusklorn was our best way to get in with the drow and find out more about them. If Irennaste is killed or even held captive while someone else takes over House Dusklorn, we may lose that access."
(OOC: I'm a bit busy this week. If someone has a plan, Xanrym is happy to follow along / support it.)
Since there seems to be agreement on the need to capture the two Derro, Khessa quickly steps away so as not to be heard, casts Blur on herself, which will come in handy as soon as the invisibility ends, then returns, positions herself next to the two Derro... and begins striking them with her Greatsword!
The blonde arcane warrior will be careful to transform any fatal blow into a strike with the flat of her blade, to stun them.
[[OOC: Descriptive mode to say that Khessa wants to use the subjugation rule: if she reduces an opponent to 0HP, she KOes them instead of killing them. So? Get this party started? ]]
Coriana, realizing everyone is tensing to strike but no one is taking the step to strike first, summons the tentacle 10 feet to the other side of the derro from the party, to slightly confuse where we are coming from, and has it strike the derro, looking to knock them out. if she got within 30 ft before breaking stealth, she then closes in and strikes with her blade. Otherwise, she dashes and gets as close as she can.
Theldrin steps forward, shocks, and incapacitates the other Derro, pulling him into an alcove and giving you all a chance to question him. Initiative over.
Xanrym bends down to check on the Derro and make sure that he's alive. He looks up and says, "Good job, Theldrin. He's alive, but I don't think that we want to wait for him to wake up on his own. If we could find out where Irennaste is being held, we could go there while I'm still able to keep Khessa invisible.
"Syllen, I guess that I ate the last of your healing berries. Do you think that you could revive him?"
(OOC: Looking at Knocking a Creature Out, if we don't want to wait a full hour, we need to revive him with a successful DC 10 Medicine check or heal him.)
Syllen seems a little surprised at how quickly they knocked out the guards. Responding to Xanrym.
“As a last resort I can create more barriers but it might be best to get inside the building and check that there are no more individuals we need to deal with. If possible I would prefer to attempt to wake him up the old fashioned way.”
"Perhaps we should restrain him with rope first," Theldrin suggests. He assumes Syllen or another party member would be more skilled in the healing arts than himself, so lets the others work on reviving the Derro. In the meantime he takes a moment to summon Dusk from his pocket dimension and send him on a brief reconnaissance, looking in the windows and door of the townhouse for any signs of more enemies.

Khessa, who had already raised her Greatsword to strike, stops before even landing a blow, as the Company makes short work of the two guardians.
"If we're going to interrogate them," the blonde arcane warrior agrees "it's best to tie them up first—just to make them focus more on answering us than on trying to escape."
The tall adventuress, having not had time to attack, is effectively still invisible... so she goes with Dusk on its reconnaissance mission. After all, Irennaste might even still be here, if the derro were hoping to wrest ownership of the building from the Company...

Syllen hangs back and prepares to strike the guards from range when the party is ready.
Avery prepares for action once the party is ready

Theldrin nods, "Let's try to knock them out and take them alive, see if we can get some information out of them."

Oh, sorry my bad, no Blur then
Coriana runs up and eviscerates one of the derro, and I think that'll just be Initiative:
Group 1: Coriana, Theldrin, Syllen, and Avery
Group 2: Derro
Group 3: Khessa and Xanrym
Theldrin, Syllen, and Avery are still up. One derro stands outside your townhouse looking incredibly surprised.
Theldrin moves in and will attempt to stun the Derro with Shocking Grasp.
Attack: 21 Damage: 16
(OOC: intent is to subdue if that's possible with Shocking Grasp. Otherwise he would attack with his staff.)

Avery will help move the stunned guard, then watch the street and the house as the group questions the guard.
