With an incredible show from Jaya, the gelatinous cube is getting slowly but surely slashed apart, it's mass wobbling and separating into neatly cut sliced, with some burn damage and bullets still lodged inside. Finally, it loses coherence and stops moving.
Initiative Over
You each get 90 XP from defeating the ooze.
OOC: Did I end up Riposting the cube? Will remove the superiority dice if so.
tion on Rico's character sheet to keep track of who she's bandaged. I'll need to clear it manually whenever we take a rest. But since it's her primary way to heal, it's worth keeping track of.
Pretty sure you bandaged me after the manticores, so you can add me to your list until next rest.

Rico (since DM missed it before): There are no objects left in the cube except for the remains of the missiles you shot into it, which are slowly dissolving. The mass is otherwise transparent and was the reason why you didn't notice it sooner.
Nikk: Except for the digestive properties of the gelatinous slime (somewhat less aggressive slime than the black ooze from earlier), you don't spot anything useable. Since this stuff is transparent, perhaps it could be mixed into a drink...

"Well, since there is nothing here that we can really use unless Nikk has something to scoop the slime into, let's go check out that closed door at the north end of this passage way."
Pisgah will to the door at the north end and take a listen at the door with the horn and will open the door if he does not hear anything behind it.
Pisgah finds this door already opened. The room beyond is small and and much dustier than the rest of this section. Some trash that the gelatinous cube didn't dissolve has accumulated here. Among the debris and rubble, a few objects stand out: a glass slipper (no second slipper to be found), a wide-brimmed, palm-frond sunhat that has been chewed on, a utensil shaped like a fork on one end and a spoon on the other and a smoking pipe made from a tree root. The crafting-minded among the group can salvage 5 hide scraps, 5 metal scraps and 5 wood scraps here.
Pisgah slips the glass slipper in his backpack as he taps the malachite crown on his head. " I've heard stories that princesses wear these. Maybe I can find who this belongs to."
OOC: How much time has passed since we have been down here? I am thinking it has only been about 4 or 5 hours. Not long enough for us to take a long rest yet, correct?
"Well, I am getting to the point of wanting to find a room we could secure and take a rest but it probably isn't quite time for that yet. I guess this means that we either go through the bugbears or back through the goblins? Does anyone have a preference? Jaya, you spoke with the goblins which way do you want to try?"
“Would a short rest be useful? We have only had one down here. A short rest would be useful for me, but I can wait. Perhaps the presence of the cube has kept others out of these halls, and we can rest here? Just a guess.”
“I’d vote for the bugbears you heard behind the door if that is what you mean. That is the direction to Shunn and hopefully the next level.”
"If folks need a short rest then I think we may want to do that. I will have to sleep some to restore my pep but I am good to go for a while longer. Rico's healing has me feeling pretty good. "

DM: 5 hours is right, and yeah, the 24 hour long rest limit is in place. You're free to spend time at one place until you can long rest. For gameplay's sake, creatures are only going to move around during short rests and long rests. So that's the only time you're at any risk of a random encounter. And of course it then matters how well secured your resting place is.
When spending time like that, you can use any appropriate downtime activities, such as crafting.
Pisgah heads to the door in the North East area where we heard the bugbears. On the way, he stows the crown in his pack. I keep the pike if it wasn't damaged by the cube.
If the pike is damaged I will don the shield and go with a longsword if needed.

OOC: I have added the healing (thank you Rico) and marked off a use of the healers kit.
I thought I had healed someone. Healing noted.
OOC: OK, I'll let you mark of the charge this time. I'm glad so many of us have Healer kits, since Rico is going to be going though them quickly...
DM: That wasn't necessary, the cube died before being able to attack.
You had healed me after the manticores too but I marked off a use of the healers kit I have in my pack. I have 8 uses left with my kit.
I would have marked that off of Rico's heale'r kit, so I'll add one back.
" Thanks folks! That was less than pleasant. While we're here, does anyone see anything that looks useful? Because I sure don't! "

"Hmmm."
Nikk does his usual once-over. Surely the blob wasn't the only thing of interest...?
[just use Passive Investigation, the roll sucked]

[You're suggesting we poison the guild...?]
[...bravo.]

“If others are good, I say we press on, a short rest only helps me a little bit, I’m still pretty good resource wise” Jaya says.
OOC: DM, do you break the 24 hours into 8 hrs active search, 8 downtime, and 8 sleeping?
