Friedrych turns his head upon hearing the scout group returning. While the recon information is being shared with the group, he notices that Luthollal is hovering about in a sulk. Upon closer inspection, he notices a red stria across her face. Well, a darker stripe of red than her usual colour. 'What happened to you?' He asks her with a concerned voice.
'Nothing!' Luthollal replies a bit too fast to sound natural. 'Everything's fine. The scouting mission was a complete success. I certainly did not screw anything up.' She turns away from Friedrych with puffed cheeks, a clear sign to him that she is either angry or embarrassed. Perhaps even both.
'Right...' Friedrych says deadpan but decides not to push the topic. 'Maybe you should get some rest, Lulu. Seems like we're moving out this night.' He watches as Luthollal floats away to crawl up like a cat on top of his backpack, quickly dozing off for a nap. 'Speaking of-'
Friedrych joins the conversation with the others of the Crimson Fang. 'What's our plan, team? There's the tried and true "charge in weapons drawn" classic but I feel like we'll need to do better than that.'
"I like any plan where we get to stab and kill things." Crispy rumbles, annoyed she got suckered into another distraction. "You just HAD to go and pick up that sword, didn't you? Why doesn't anything ever go smoothly?"
"I like any plan where we get to stab and kill things." Crispy rumbles, annoyed she got suckered into another distraction. "You just HAD to go and pick up that sword, didn't you? Why doesn't anything ever go smoothly?"
'Yeah sure,' Friedrych replies as he rolls his eyes, 'because leaving a magical sword that shoots fire out in the open for anyone to find, let alone in a swamp filled with rival tribes, would have been so much better...'
He looks straight at Crispy. 'Look, if you're that jealous that I got the sword, just say so and I'll happily trade you for it.'
OOC: If you wanna make a quick plan of attack, we'll run into it. If you want to wait until evening/nightfall, you'll have chance for a short rest a little further away.
Crispy makes a snorting noise at such a crazy notion. "KhHK! I'm not jealous." Crispy retorts. "I don't NEED a magic sword to do MY job. I'm pointing out this is all your fault. I'm going to wait for nightfall, and murder him in his sleep. It'll give me practice for..you know..later." She gives you a very unnerving glare.
Crispy makes a snorting noise at such a crazy notion. "KhHK! I'm not jealous." Crispy retorts. "I don't NEED a magic sword to do MY job. I'm pointing out this is all your fault. 'Eh, you do you.' Friedrych shrugs in reply. 'Or Borg, whatever makes you happy.'
He turns to the group. 'Everyone okay with sending in Crispy alone under the cover of darkness for an assassination attempt?'
The lizardfolk just facepalms at the bickering. You may also want to keep your voices down so you don't draw attention from the bullywugs, they aren't too far away...
"We can take care of problem." The guide replies in a low hiss. "Be much more death. This better for our kind, fleshy humans at risk, not children. You gain treasure, good for both us and you."
So by the looks of things the group is waiting until it gets to nightfall. You may benefit from a short rest if you need to gain any short rest abilities back or spend any hit dice.
The lizardfolk guide seems to quietly scuttle off when it gets to twilight, going to check on the bullywug camp. He returns a few moments later. "Many frogs sleep now. Only five on watch. Leader in middle of group, sleep by giant toad."
Crispy covered her mouth as not to laugh too loud. The little old squirt had perfect comedic timing. Crispy takes a short rest and waits till nightfall, observing the camp, and sharpening her blade while occasionally looking Friedrych somewhat annoyed and menacing.
The lizardfolk just facepalms at the bickering. You may also want to keep your voices down so you don't draw attention from the bullywugs, they aren't too far away...
Friedrych took notice of the lizardman facepalming with a crooked eyebrow. 'For a supposedly coldblooded race, that's a surprisingly emotional response.' He calmly observes to no one in particular. After checking his gear and going over some ideas in his head for when things should go south, he walks over to Crispy and sits down cross-legged in front of her at such a distance that he is not within striking range.
'You don't like me.' He starts off.'And I'm on the fence about you. But for better or worse we are part of the same team so it's in our best interests that we shelve any and all murderous intent until the job is done. To that extent, we should pool our talents and resources together, if only to get these lizards and toads off of our back.' He glances over to where Luthollal is softly snoozing. 'If you're really planning on sneaking into the bullywugs' camp,' Friedrych says turning his gaze back to Crispy, 'let me send Lulu along with you, just to have an extra set of eyes to watch your back. As on my part,' his hand reaches to his chest to tap the crystal hanging around his neck,'I could turn you invisible. Should make the whole "sneaking in and stabbing" part easier on your behalf.'
He stands up and dusts off his pants. 'We don't have to like each other but we should at least be able to work together. So just give it a thought.'With that said, he walk off towards where Luthollal is sleeping.
'Wakey wakey, sleepyhead.' Friedrych says as he gently nudges her awake. 'It's showtime.'
@Crispy: I had a look at your character sheet. I noticed you only have 5 skills which is odd as a Human variant Rogue should have 7 skills: 4 from Rogue class, 1 from Human variant race and 2 from a background. Oversight?
Crispy is cleaning her blades as Friedrych sits down, she looks at him mid polish and stares at him as he sits, and doesn't move while he talks. Oh Hells, here we go. She thought. She listened to his proposal. She couldn't argue with it. Especially because he would help her kill. And that's the one thing she liked, and did, best.
"Alright. Those are very good points. We have a deal." She agrees.
She then shows you her blades. "But, you see these? If you or that..creature you call Lulu..pull any fast ones on me, or hurt any of my friends, i'll use these to kill your mother and butt **** both you with her headless corpse in your very own home. Deal?" She smiles, a very serious, committed smile.
OOC: (I couldn't see anything to confirmed or deny what you're talking about? It's very possible I overlooked something don't get me wrong, but I couldn't see anything after double checking. The new character sheets, IMHO, are a bit confusing now.)
'An empty threat to a drifter.' Friedrych smiles with the corners of his mouth nearly reaching his eyes.'But if a graveyard carfuffle is your fetish du jour, I'm sure we can find you a nice necromancer to introduce you to me mum. Who knows, she might even like you.' His eyes glimmer for a moment. 'Just let me have a word with her first: I need to know where she buried the family fortune. I've got bills to pay, you know.' He turns to address the rest of the Crimson Fang.
'So everyone is on board with Operation "Sneaky Sneak Stabbity Stab"? He asks the others. 'Because ending up smackdab in a turfwar between toads and lizards isn't exactly on my bucket list.'
He gives them a moment to discuss as he calls Luthollal over. Holding her in his arms like one would hold a stuffed animal, he addresses both her and Crispy. 'So here's how it's going to be. Lulu, we can communicate telepathically but once you get out of reach, this...' Friedrych points at Crispy, 'lady, for lack of a better term, is in charge. She'll decide what to do and you will do your best to aid her, understood?'
Luthollal glances a couple of times between Friedrych and Crispy in the same manner a child would when mommy and daddy are having an argument and nods her head. 'Fine.' She replies, smiling and bearing her teeth, mockingly mimicking Crispy's visage.
'Now Crispy,'Friedrych turns his attention back to her, 'I can turn you invisible but there are some caveats you should know. First, it will only last an hour. I doubt that will be a problem 'cause I've seen you in action. Second, and most important,' He pauses a moment for dramatic effect, 'The moment you slide a blade between anyone's ribs, the spell will end and you'll be visible again. At that point, you have two options.' He raises his left thumb for emphasis. 'A) you and Lulu get back within 100 feet of me so I can reapply the invisibility spell. Or B),' He flashes a genuine smile at her, potentially perhaps the first one so far, as he raises his right thumb, 'You get creative.'
Friedrych lets go of Luthollal and she floats up to Crispy's eye level. 'I'll leave you two to get acquainted. When you're ready to begin, come find me.' With that said, he rejoins the others to hear what they are going to do.
Luthollal hovers in silence for a couple of moments before setting her eyes on Crispy. 'What's a lesbian and why are you in one?' She asks innocently.
@Crispy: I checked and a Variant Human Rogue should have 7 skills: 4 from Rogue, 1 from Human variant, 2 from background. Maybe the skills chosen from Rogue overlap with those from the background and the background ones defaulted back to blank as a result? Perhaps it's best to review your character sheet from the start and go tab by tab to check what is missing. At the very least, you should get 2 skills out of it ^^

Akaas is not sulking, but is letting others do the talking.
"Too many for straight fight." The guide hisses. "May be weak, but strong in number. Leader need to die, others will flee. Take out quick, quiet."
"I like any plan where we get to stab and kill things." Crispy rumbles, annoyed she got suckered into another distraction. "You just HAD to go and pick up that sword, didn't you? Why doesn't anything ever go smoothly?"

"Peace," Akaas says smoothly to the bickerers.
The lizardfolk just facepalms at the bickering. You may also want to keep your voices down so you don't draw attention from the bullywugs, they aren't too far away...
"Don't you facepalm, lizardface.." Crispy shot back, "We're doing your dirty work. Can't even solve your OWN problems."
Then she stays quiet, especially in an attempt to calm her nerves and not murder everyone.
"We can take care of problem." The guide replies in a low hiss. "Be much more death. This better for our kind, fleshy humans at risk, not children. You gain treasure, good for both us and you."
"Better?" Crispy whispers, "Oh, i'm SO glad! You're welcome."
