Tilliman, you've heard of pipes like these. When smoking, the user can manipulate the smoke into shapes and images. Most pipes like this are just the magical equivalent of party favors; a neat trick to show off. Some are said to be more powerful, capable of conjuring concealing fog or creating life-like illusions out of smoke. It would take longer examination and experimentation with this one to determine exactly what it can do.

Eronpounds on the beam with his hammer, eventually snapping the last nail out of the wood, taking a good chuck of the doorframe and door handle out with it. Unsealed, the door slowly opens to reveal the dark cavity beyond.
Light spilling in from the large room behind you barely shows that the chamber is only about fifteen feet across and the corners are filled with shadow. What little you can see is dingy and dirty. An old chair or sofa has decayed down to wood scraps and cloth fibers. There are a half-dozen mounds of old bones in the room. From each pile, a bit of gold twinkles in the light from the doorway.
With the door opened, all six of the mounds stir, rising as skeletons. Bones rattle and jaws click into place after months of years of dormancy. In each of the skeletons, you can see that a single rib has been dipped in gold. They push themselves up off the floor and prepare to attack!

The blue-haired half-elf shudders with unease as she sees the mounds of bones stir and animate into undead, swiftly placing her hex on the closest standing skeleton before unleashing a dark azure beam of eldritch crackling force towards it.
Eron is taken by complete surprise! Not expecting anything other then health or safety hazards…
Eron has a vision of his father being killed by a horde of undead…
White as a sheet Eron stands hand white knuckled on his hammer. ‘HAMMER!’ He swings with every ounce of strength left in him, at the one right in front of him.
Faneand Eronboth land strikes against their foes, but the old bones don't appear to be as brittle as they should be. Eron'shammer, in particular, should have cracked bones and shattered skulls, yet the skeleton seemed oddly resistant to the attack.
The skeletons assemble and swarm to the doorway. Unable to get past Eron, they surround Faneinstead. They draw forth their golden ribs and wield them like pointed, glittering sickles. Four of them attack the bladesinger.

For the second time, Arlynn'sblast misses its target, perhaps on account of shooting into a doorway whilst simultaneously trying to avoid both Eron and Fane.

Dice rolls didn't show up for Arlynn. I went ahead and rolled the attack from her character sheet and in the game log. Attack: 27 Damage: 21

Eronhacks apart another skeleton before retreating from the doorway. This gives Tilliman the chance to spread his caltrops while Fanetakes a breather to quaff a healing potion. Arlynn, meanwhile, takes a more measured aim and crushes on oncoming skeleton with a concussive blast of magical force, sending splintered femurs flying.
With the path clear, the skeletons surge forward.
DEX: 22
The first skeleton avoids the caltrops and closes on the retreating Eron. It slashes with its golden rib, but misses.
Rib Attack: 8 (Miss)
DEX: 8
The next skeleton out the door steps right on the caltrops, halting and taking 1dmg. It also effectively blocks the doorway again, preventing the last skeleton from escaping.
Behind them, the robed skeleton draws a pair of flasks out and hurls them at Eron(the only visible party member as Tillimanis hidden and the ladies have full cover).
Acid Flask: 19 Acid Damage: 7
Acid Flask: 4 Acid Damage: 9
The first flask sails true and hits Eron, while the second flask hits the middle skeleton as it tries to swipe caltrops off of its feet.
