Augustus will listen as Sir Beauregard converses with the kobolds, looking carefully around the circle of statues. At the mention that the boss may have woken up, he'll turn his attention to looking around, checking for any sign of a grumpy dragon in the nearby sky or tower.
The two kobold brothers look at each other with recognition at the mention of a bronze dragon but they look back at Sir Beauregard when he asks the name of their boss.
They respond in unison. "Sparkrender."
The final syllable is nearly cut off by the sound of more kobold voices as two more winged kobolds fly in from across the rickety bridge to the northwest. Looking in that direction you see two more standing on the other side of the bridge looking to see what's going on.
The two newly arrived winged kobolds look a lot more battle hardened than the brothers and regard you all with cautious scrutiny. "Who is they?" Hisses one. "Does boss know..."
But before anyone can respond, you get an answer to that question as a loud screech overhead announces an inbound blue shape diving down from atop the northeast tower...
You have just a slightest moment to react before it lands...

Vinn wildshapes into a wolf, wags his tail, and sits next to one of the kobolds. He then lifts a paw in begging manner and gives his best puppy eyes, before playfully licking the kobold to show friendliness and affection. Vinn tries his best to match the blue of the dragon with his fur.
Having cast bless, Sir Beauregard will move a space or two if possible so that if this dragon is out of their league AND attacks immediately, its breath weapon will only hit him. If he can gauge that move so it seems natural as the dragon alights, moving aside out of deference, he will. He shows no sign of fear or anger. Although he wishes to honor Runara’s request for a peaceful resolution, she said nothing of a blue dragon and he expects a fight.
Augusts will run towards the edge of the cliff, probably about to jump off until he sees the others preparing, and will instead frantically try to wipe some (hopefully wet) blue paint off the nearby statue and smear it on his face. He'll then stand and try to look kobold-y.
Sir Beauregard: You, Morlock and Vinn are properly blessed.
The blue shape dives through a large whole in the ceiling, landing in the center of the chamber near the mechanical looking metal sculpture.
Far from the massive flying entity you anticipated, this wyrmling looks to be the size of a small horse... However, its youth takes nothing away from his ferocity and nerve as it sneers at you, electric snaps of crackling in the juvenile dragon's nostrils. It glances around taking measurement of the scene, baring its teeth with malicious amusement when it sees August in his blue paint.
It does not seem to notice Zieglerat the moment.
With its attention still fixed on all of you, it addresses the kobolds in a course, staticy voice, speaking a language that only Morlockunderstands.
MORLOCK...
In Draconic, the dragon asks: "What was that sound? And what are these... creatures?" (Referring to you and your friends)
The tall kobold responds to with clear voices in the same language:
MORLOCK:
In Draconic: "Explorers. Wandered off course. They were attacked by pests and used magic to shoo them away. We were telling them to leave just now."
In response, you see some arcing lightning begin to gather in the dragon's throat as it replies in the same language...
In Draconic: "I have no time for distractions. Perhaps their spilled blood will aid in the ritual...
The kobolds move to intervene and prevent the dragon from unleashing his fury. He holds the charge, seeming to relish the fear he sees...

Augustus will look back and forth from those speaking, wide eyed, wondering if they others have any idea what's happening. As the lightning builds in it's throat he'll lift his shield a bit out of habit, preparing himself should things turn ugly. As the wyrmling seems to react to their fear, Augustus will try and push down his phobia and hide the shaking in his knees. He'll wipe some of the paint off and stand up a bit straighter, breathing carefully.
Sir Beauregard raises an eyebrow towards Morlock, holding his sword and shield ready and circling to a position of advantage and preparing to dodge aside if the creature breathes. Always he does his best to stand clear of the kobolds or the party members so that the dragon will not be able to catch anyone else if it breathes on him. His jaw is set and he has a grim look of determination on his face…one Vinn will remember from the myconid battle.
As soon as Vinn notices the static charge, he runs to Sir Beauregard, making loud whimpering noises with his tail between his legs. He stands a few feet away from his paladin companion and stamps the front of his paws, howling with distressed.
Morlock looks up from being chill. (In Draconic) he says "Spill my Blood. What a great joke. (he belly laughs) I do not think today will be that day. Do you feel so bold as to take on me let alone that army. I presume you saw them over that hill. (Pointing in the opposite direction they came from). You do check your surroundings before you land, right? You're not fresh from the egg. No. No. You are well beyond that.A bit of advice from an old one. When was the last item you saw a Mage in armor? A War Mage, no less. I presume you feel the magic coursing through me and around me."
"But enough of this joking. What do you have to say? Shall we 'Duke it out' (he pantomimes) or do we talk and learn?"
He positions himself alone and takes a relaxed posture and waits for an answer.
After a harrowing confrontation, you've managed to deal an impressive amount of damage to the blue dragon wyrmling... Seeing himself surrounded, he opted not to unleash his lightning breath a second time, but took the opportunity to fly off with a threat...
You've managed to subdue the remaining kobolds and convinced the winged brothers to end their hostilities....

Sir Beauregard glares at Mek and Minn. “Sparkrender may flee and save its life or return and die. I will not leave until we have spoken to Airdron. Choose your path. From what I have seen you care for nothing but yourselves when the road is hard. But Myla and Runara see something more in you. I hope they are right.”
The knight spits blood and lays his hand upon his chest, curing five points of damage. “Morlock, what did the beast say? My blood is up and I favor the path to the drake, but perhaps you can give some guidance.”
"Seems quite solid, " he turns to tell the others, and comes back across the bridge. He'll take a look at the center...statue?

Z will attempt to hide, interposing one of the statues between himself and where the dragon can be heard. (stealth: 18)

About half those words get out of Morlock's mouth before the dragon opens its mouth wide, about to release a bolt of lightning...
And, we're in initiative....
