The captain will look for any that need help. Healing, picking people up, getting them moving away from the horror. He’ll look for his companions but also the other captains. He remembers each soldiers name he has spoken with and will address them as such to get their attention.

Where are you dashing to? You're in a walled fort surrounded by a flooded pit full of spikes. My understanding is you're on the wall, at various corners. Cha!jil is already the maximum distance possible from the breached gate, other (undetermined) party members are also distal to the gate.
You can all reach the far watchtowers, certainly. But, then what?
The gatehouse consists of the ground-level entryway, an upper floor that serves as an armory (all of the garrison’s spare weapons and armor are stored here because it’s one of the few places that remains reliably dry), and a roofless fighting platform surrounded by a palisade that gives three-quarters cover against attacks made from the ground. Two guards are stationed atop the gatehouse day and night.
Even squeezing, the thing won't fit through the gatehouse, but the door being open does allow you line of sight foe ranged attacks. However, if it moves away feom the gate, and you're not standing in the wall or a tower or something, you're just lobbing arrows in its general direction and magic won't have line of sight, so Etali being outside the fort doesn't mean you're safe inside. Quite the contrary, in fact, as you'll likely soon see.
" Trap.....trap...trap....", Cha!jil began muttering to herself as she ran out of wall.
" Striped Death lend me your grace....", she prayed as she threw herself off the wall to land below ( Cats Grace). Then began running out on the longest wooden spur she could find, still driven to get as far from the gargantuan spinosaurus....
Just checking, Cha!jil is staying on the wall, just max distance feom the dinosaur? I sae the skill checks and thought maybe she jumped, but I think it's just to balance on the spur?

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The full length of the fort is 130ft feom gate to farthest tower.
If you're all just running away, I don't think we need to run formal combat. Are you trying g ro get out? What's being called a spur, I now think we mean the sharpened sticks protruding from the moat, is that right? They're described as being too large to threaten a medium creature, but pose an obstacle to dinosaurs.
Put your spoiler here.It is pouring rain though, do to land on one and balance, I'd say that's a DC17, w/DA from heavy rain, or if already rolled, adjusted to DC22 w/o DA. Acrobatics.
If it's just trying to land on the grass, I think it's minor fall damage, the DC 15 to just climb on the spur.
Cha'jil jumps from the wall, hitting the soft ground with a wet thump, feeling the stiff of the impact but not falling prone (½ of 6 fall damage. She vaults onto the wooden spike and climbs to the end of it
(ooc: I'm not sure what everyone wants to do, half the party or more has failed the save and even if they didn't this could be an unwinnable fight? It looks like Cha!jil is trying to avoid the fight, so is Koselig... not sure about Tess?)
(if/when Koselig gets close to the back wall, where Cha!jil went over, he will use his action to make a Flask O' Feathers (Flight) elixir which will give me a fly speed of 10 feet for 10 minutes, which should get me safely over the wall and I can maybe carry Cha!jil across the moat/trench?)

( OOC: I'm happy to run every NPC that failed the save as doing exactly what Cha is doing.......probably with less style and more injuries....
In case it needs to be said Cha!jil lived here in Chult her entire life and to her the fort is simply an enormous pile of sticks that smells like food to everything living and dead for miles, it was already a lost cause even before a God-Saurian turned up on the doorstep. She feels absolutely no shame or chagrin from legging it out of there ASAP......once the fear effect wears off she would still do exactly the same thing....though probably with the others in tow. )
(Sparhawk is more of a life guard so he will do what he can to rescue as many as possible while they fend it off. If the tide turns and it’s a completely lost cause, he would try to muster as retreat.)

Wis Save- 16
Cha!jil stared up in horror, " This is Etali! The Primal Storm! We may as well fight Chult itself!"
" As I said! This place is a feeding station! A badly made feeding station!"
" Everyone Run!!"
( Dash! In the opposite direction.)
Hearing Cha!jil's warning, Koselig will Dash after his compatriot.
"Flee! Flee! Run for your lives! Flee!"

(I’ve never run npc, but give me stats for some missile weapon troops and I can roll them (to hit/ damage) people around the captain. )
