Suddenly Nigel stops. Taking a look at the carnage of the dead around him he realizes his talents lie elsewhere. A snap if his fingers calls his magical quill to hand. 

"Go with them Darien. They may need your healing touch.  I will stay and see what I can learn from them." He gestures at the bodies. He immediately begins going over the bodies in a forensic manner. He notes relationships, higharchy, where they might have come from maybe even what they've been up too by way of trophies taken and wounds recieved.

Pinja grins at Drako’s taunt. She dashes and uses Ki to engage step of the wind to dash again for a bonus action, moving 160ft toward the goblin.

Grikiltha moves about 30' in the goblins direction,  clearly not putting in any extra effort to pursue. 

 Chase begins!

• Darien and Nigel may enter the map using an action to dash if they so wish.
• Grikiltha moves within range, though she isn't really trying to chase the goblins down.
• Drako is 30ft close to Goblin B before the start of their turn. [ 1/5 free dashes used. ]
• Pinja swiftly makes her way over to Goblin E after using two consecutive dashes, and she manages to catch it! [ The dash action increases your speed by your basic walking distance (40ft for Pinja). So she would have moved 120ft, not 160ft. 2/5 free dashes used. ]

• Goblin B will use a Dash action. [ 1/3 free dashes used. No complication with a roll of 11 and above. ]

Map: [ Each square counts as 10ft, not 5ft. The red dot is where the goblin started. The purple dot symbolizes where it's going. ]

Darien watches Pinja dash away quicker than the wind and says to Nigel, "Something tells me they've got it handled, and it's probably better to not have anyone all on their own." He squats next to the wizard to examine the bodies alongside him. "Maybe I can help out here?"

[[ Not sure what checks would be relevant (if any) and Nigel already rolled pretty well but I can add on like a medicine or survival check if either of those would gain us more information. Same modifier so just an 11 for whichever of those is more relevant in gleaning information about the area they came from since we're headed that way. ]]

"Appreciate your help." Nigel has Darien help him reposition bodies so all aspects of their persona can be investigated.

Pinja ties the goblin securely with the rope in her backpack. Then she eyes the last fleeing goblin determinedly.

Drako shouts to Pinja, "Good work!."

He dashes again towards Goblin B.

Nigel and Darien:

• Amongst the remains of the goblinoids, you gather a total of 10 electrum pieces. From the Hobgoblin, you could gather a medium sized set of chainmail, a shield, a longsword, and a 1st level Spell Scroll (Silent Image). You would only need to thaw him out of Nigel's ice. [ Easily done with Darien's help. ]
  
  

Chase (players):

• Pinja secures her goblin with rope.
• Drako, as you run after the remaining goblin, a puff of pollen gets into your eyes, blinding you briefly. [ This turn, you could only move 30ft. ]
• [ Is Grikiltha doing anything? ]

Grikiltha will make her way towards Pinja and the goblin she secured.

As Nigel records the coin amount and stows them away for future distribution he comments to Darien, "Well done, but I think there could be more if we thaw this one. I believe that's a scroll case I see in its belt. Any suggestion?"

"Darned pollen!" snorts Drako as he slows down to clean it out of his eyes. He shouts at the goblin in Draconic, "Get back here!" He dashes once more. He mutters between breaths, "Bahamut guide this chase."

//with the blinding, is that preventing the dash or did it halve the movement after the dash? wondering if he's at 2/5 or 3/5 free dashes used.

EDIT: whoops, misremembered where initiative was. But can have this earmarked as his next turn barring any major complications.

As Grikiltha get in range, Pinja shoves the tied Goblin at her saying, “Hold my Goblin?”

If Grikiltha takes him then she’ll use another ki and dash twice again utilizing step of the wind, gunning for the last Goblin.

"Did you forget who you're talking to?" Darien says with a crooked smile, as a small orange flame appears in his hand. He sets to work thawing around the hobgoblin's scroll case. "Should I bother with any of his other gear? I don't think I can carry much more while still being effective in a fight." 

Grikiltha will grab the goblin (assuming disarmed) and will pick them up and will start following the others, slowly.

"I'm only interested in the scroll. If the others want any of the gear we can thaw it then." Nigel looks on with tantalizing anticipation. A chance to add another spell to his repertoire peaks his already overactive drive for knowledge.  He watches with baited breath as the ice slowly melts and the ground becomes damp from the water. As the ice slowly retreats Nigel gingerly touches the tube, gently trying to wiggle and rotate it in an effort to remove it as soon as possible. Suddenly there is a small but audible crack from the ice and the scroll comes free of its prison. 

"Ah ha! You've done it, Good work!" Nigel congratulates Darien as he holds the scroll up to the light eminating from his quil. He gently unrolls the parchment not wanting to damage the document any further than the ice may already have. He slowly peruses the markings on the page.

Pulling out his spell book he begins to quickly copy the spell. 

"It's a spell that creates a silent image. The image has no sound with it but it appears that one can move it. Could be useful as a misdirect. Create a false wall to hide behind. Maybe a large Boulder obscuring us from view. Here you take the scroll now that I have written it down." Nigel offers the paper to Darien.

Goblin's Turn:

• The goblin dexterously leaps over a a patch of razorvine, almost reaching his goal.

Player's Turn:

• Darien and Nigel continue to converse.
• Grikiltha secures Pinja's goblin and follows slowly. [ Moving 15ft towards Drako and Pinja. ]
• Drako is finally able to see after getting the pollen off of his eyes, only to stumble onto a patch of fungi, causing it to puff spores into his eyes again. [ 2/5 free dashes used. ]
• Pinja is able to swiftly (and without complications) sprint closer to the goblin. She knows that if the goblin reaches the forested area, it will be significantly more difficult to pursue. [ 4/5 free dashes used. ]

Goblin's Turn:

• The goblin looks cockily back at Pinja and Drako, ignoring the suspisciously placed patch of branches and leaves on the path his heading towards. By the time the goblin realizes what is happening, it was already tumbling down a pit trap, falling to it's death. [ It was almost free and it died to a random pit trap! ]

CHASE IS OVER

Map: 

Drako sneezes and rubs his eyes. "Nature doesn't like me apparently." He frowns a bit at the fallen goblin, less info. But then turns back to Grikiltha and the goblin tied up. "Shall we take our captive and join with the rest?"

"Well that was fun, hope you got so good information to spill or we will just have more fun spilling other parts of ya." Grikiltha chuckles as she roughs up the goblin she carrying.

Pinja watches the goblin fall into the pit and stops short, looking cautiously around the ground she was just rushing hazardously through. Then she laughs manically, unable to hold in the ironic humor.

Hearing Drako, she turns and nods. Then makes her way back to Darien and Nigel.
