Lorken's mad laugh turns into a spluttering cough as he breathes in a lungful of toxic spores (failed his save on a 12).
"One... one moment,"he coughs at the stitched horror looming over him. "I'll be... with you shortly." Still struggling for breath, he aims another two swings at the Spectator.
Attack 1 (Reckless Attack to cancel out disadvantage from poison): to hit 19, damage 12
The Spectator screams as Lorken’s axe shakily strikes its central eye. The second swing bites deep into the cornea, reaching the vitreous fluid beneath, which gouts forth in a thick rush of white, pinks, blues, greens, yellows… colours changing constantly.
Haggard, one eye stalk looks at Lorken. A flash of grey anti-light flashes toward him.
Lorken, can you make a DC 14 Dexterity Save against the Spectator’s petrifying ray.
A split second before the beam connects, Lorken doubles over, coughing (passed on a 14). He straightens up again, grinning, and says "Looks like you've got a little something in your eye."
MOVE: Jayson moves out to gain line of sight of the spectator without getting in difficult terrain up to 30ft: (spending 30 feet of movement; first diagonal costs 5 ft. of movement, second costs 10 ft., third costs 5 ft., etc.) BONUS: Cast Hex, pointing at the spectator 90ft range. ACTION: Cast Eldritch Blast, pointing at the spectator 240ft range.
Beam #1 attack roll: 20 Damage: 5 (Force Range up to 240ft) + Unable to parse dice roll. (Hex - Necrotic Target disadvantage on Dex ability checks) = 3
Beam #2 attack roll:24 Damage: 8 (Force Range up to 240ft) + 4 (Hex - Necrotic Target disadvantage on Dex ability checks) = 12
Reaction: Hellish rebuke or other as needed.

With a chittering and a wail and a gnashing and a great blink, the Spectatorand its many eyes begin to sink inward on themselves, collapsing to a point and inverting into somewhere ... beyond. Gone.
Lumbering, much quieter than it would appear to be capable of, TheHorrorruns toward Lorkenand Alaina, weaving around its comrades while the Spectatordies. It takes a position between the barbarian and the ranger and swings its bone hook on rusty chain, a flensing flail to strike everyone in range.
Lorken and Alaina, please make a DC 14 Dexterity Save or take 5 damage and be knocked prone. On a success take half damage, and no prone.
Lestherislaughs long and loud as she sees The Horror enter the fray. Halorinquirks the corner of his mouth in a smile. "You can't win," she calls. "Why even fight us, the mine is ours and that fat oaf of a town master is not rich enough to make this worth your effort and your lives. It's not too late for you to leave."
The three skeletons draw their ancient bows even as she speaks to you, all of them aiming at Lorken. Two arrows clatter against the ground, but one arrow hits true, striking the satyr right in his hoof.
The Decrepit Skeleton gets a Critical Hit! for 2 damage to Lorken.
Halorin'ssmile grows into a full one as his draws his mace back and then slowly swings through. Even with a hit to the hoof, Lorkenis able to dodge the blow with minimal effort. A sheen of not-colour continues to cover Halorin, Capone'sspell continuing unabated.
This is not unnoticed by all.
From his place in the corridor, JedarPikesees Caponeunguarded by the top of the stairs. With his left hand he quickly strips the magic of one of his skeletons, reducing it to powdered grist which then flows to cover The Horror in a thin bone film. With his right hand he intones a dreadful word and points a finger at the little sorcerer, a dark rush of vapour flying true to strike Capone.
The Nameless Reach spell deals 5 necrotic damage to Capone. The vapour lingers around Capone and the next enemy to attack Capone before Jedar's next turn will have advantage of the attack. Please make a concentration saving throw, Capone.
"I warned you," says Lestheris.
Her Necrotic Lance hits Lorken in his center, dealing 24 necrotic damage.
Lorken and Alaina begin their turn in Fungal Growth
[Fungal Growth. Mycete causes fungi to proliferate from a point she can see within 60 feet of her. Solid surfaces in a 10-foot square centered on that point become difficult terrain, and a creature who enters that area for the first time on a turn or starts their turn there must succeed on a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or be poisoned for 1 minute (save ends at end of turn).]. ))
(( Alaina also starts her turn in Fungal growth. Saving throws. Saving throws for days. ))
The Horror swings its chain and catches Lorken a glancing blow on the brow. In the grip of his rage, the Satyr doesn't even seem to feel it.
(Passed his save on a 22, takes 1 damage - 5 halved twice for the successful save and his rage).
Arrows clatter around him, one even strikes him (1 damage because of his rage), but nothing seems to shake him. He dodges Halorin's swing with negligent ease. Then Lestheris' spell hits him full on, and he doubles over, retching. (He takes the full damage.)
As he straightens back up, he bursts once more into a coughing laugh. "Oh very good, well said!" Another cough. "We're going to kill you."
With that, he aims his swings at the slowed Halorin.
Attack 1 (Reckless Attack to cancel out the disadvantage from poison): To Hit 27, Damage 16
Attack 2 (ditto): To Hit 12, Damage 14)
With a last spasm, Lorken coughs the remaining spores from his lungs, shaking off the effect of the poison (saved on a 19).
Alaina holds her breath and looks for a way out of the fungal zone, and away from the horror.
DM: It's unclear to me whether I have a turn to take right now. You said Lorken and Jayson were up, then said I should save for the start of the turn, then told Lorken in the OOC thread it wasn't his turn yet.

3. Alaina, Broma, Capone, Gudrune. [We are here, in the round]
4. The Horror, Mycete (Slowed)
(Edit: I might be blind and missing where I said it was Lorken’s go after my most recent story post. Apologies if so. The Horror still has its go to go, so sorry if anyone thought we were further in because of its attack, that was a Legendary Action.))
(I worked out why we were confused - it's from your quote about Mycete's spores, in which it says top of the round... bit you just quoted that for the effect of the spores)
I see where I got confused, it was the quoted part of an earlier post, I didn't actually read the actual post before it, sorry.
Dex Save 18.
Dodging the blow from the horror and holding her breath from the spores, Alaina dives back, out of the fungal growth, but likely leaving herself open to a blow from the horror. Drawing on the energies of the rift she detected far below, Alaina focuses for an attack on the weak points of the horror, risking missing entirely in hopes of bringing it down fast.
Move: Out of fungal growth and away from the horror. Bonus: Planar Warrior Action: 2xLongbow with SS, Planar Warrior and Favored Foe. AC 26, 23 + 4PW + 6FF = 33 Force Damage (I assume the 26 hit.) AC 14; 22 piercing damage.

Broma is beyond disappointed at the Spectator's disappearance. Blast. So much research opportunity, gone in a moment. Ah. But what's done is done. In any case...
His luminous "eyes" turn to the monstrous Horror before him. Where one door closes, another has opened. Or perhaps, it was always open and he just hadn't noticed. He'll need to be more careful, then!
...Oh, but not now. Now, he charges forward, his gauntlets humming as he closes on the large monstrosity before him. His first swipe is a tad short, but his second slams against the Horror's leg, delivering a thunderous burst on impact. He certainly can't wait to study its corpse in-depth!
[Thunder Gauntlets, 1st strike To hit: 10, Damage: 6]
[Thunder Gauntlets, 2nd strike To hit: 25, Damage: 12]
Alaina's arrows strike true. One, covered in a sheen of planar force tears through the sinew and joint that attaches TheHorror's rotten limb to its torso, leaving it half hanging off.
Broma's first blow similarly connects solidly with The Horror's torso, but as the other gauntlet swings in the planar arrow strikes and suddenly The Horror's guarding limb is loose and Broma's other gauntlet fails to connect with the newly dangling target. No blood falls, but then again, The Horror is long undead.
Capone casts Shield if that was an attack. If that doesn't help he rolls a 18 Concentration save.

I'm probably laughing.
It is apparently so hard to program Aberrant Mind and Clockwork Soul spell-swapping into dndbeyond they had to remake the game without it rather than implement it.
Capone twins a Dissonant Whispers targetting Halorin(10 psychic) and the nearest skeleton(9 psychic). DC16 Wis for half. Then his shard activates to send the far realm tendril at the Horror (13 psychic) DC16 cha save or feared.
Then, he's moving back, to get some cover from the wall to the north.
Ooc: been a hectic couple days sorry for the delay! I need to do some accounting on resources used but he should be able to twin a 1st level still. For sure. Will do in a bit when I finish all my stuff for the day. Wanted to squeeze a reply in tho. Also on phone sorry for lack of real format.
Note: Halorin cant run cuz no reactions but skele could if he fails. And I know the horror probably can't experience fear but we rollin with it anyway. Capone needs to learn to not try to fear undead monstrosities the hard way.

(Will calculate damage and saves soon. Capone’S Shield reaction causes the necrotic bolt to miss and he takes no damage and requires no save.)
The little sorcerer’s spells do not seem to work as they might usually. Something about the death of the Spectator has made the medium through which his mind sends out its grasping magics turbulent and more … topographical than he has ever known.
The slowed warrior and the nearest skeleton (dead with a rotten brain as it is) do not struggle and writhe as those who feel his spells normally would.
The huge monstrosity before him however; that creature responds as it ought to. Too many minds in too few bodies. The flicker of the tendril from beyond finds a rich seam to pry open.
It is at that moment the Dwarf Warrior makes her entry with her Rune-carved axe. She is silent and furious and in two great swipes splits the roughly stitched bodies that make up the grotesquery’s form back into separate corpses, hopefully now once more at rest.
The other Stone-cold Raiders look more worried at the death of their monster. Their leader whistles and makes a strange clicking sound, jerking her head towards the passage to the north-west. It is clear they are trying to make a fighting retreat before they lose any of their more-alive members.
OOC - just checking on Lorkens action if they are processed as is or if they need to be redone.
Jayson will be evaluating the battlefield for a way to move freely northward and target a group possibly with thunderwave. 15ft cube starting just in front of Jayson, if there are viable targets and no friendlies that would be hit by it.
