Focusing your spell over to Argos, you see the same swirl of purple surrounding his burn wounds. They are a bit fainter but they dance and twirl like ghastly vapors around his skin.

Trying to figure out what is going on, you think back onto what you have learned but find nothing much of use. But you do feel that something in the scared texts of those who follow Jormun there was a great monster that rivaled the serpent once, the one who drove him out to sea. This gargantuan monster was known to use fire against his opponents. You aren't sure if this magic is the same one.

Argos looked a bit at the others, seeing as they are distracted. "I will end your **** self once and for all." Argos said under his breath and followed the feathers. (The ballroom isn't locked right?)
The ballroom door isn't locked it was just closed. Leaving behind your friends (well two people you really just met today), you end up in the lobby. The feathers now float in the air here and lead you towards the working elevator. However the elevator shaft inside is filled to the brim with snow.

Suddenly, compacting the snow between your hands you create a surprisingly fast snowball. And you chuck it. Hurling it at the feathers, you hit it right on the mark. But as soon as the snowball hit it, the snow fizzles and explodes with a spark, sending red splats everywhere on the snow. These sprinkles completely melt through the snow below. Leaning over, you can see the lobby tile peeking through the melted zones.
The feathers you hurled it at all twitch and hover about sporadically.
"Having fun now with your little game?" The disembodied voice comes again.

Macario stares with curiosity at the illuminated bronze lanterns, recognizing the figures of the four gods, but wondering what their sudden appearance here could mean.
[[ Perceptionnat 1. I do not notice Argos leave the room ;) ]]
He wanders over to stand under the fox lantern, beginning a ritual casting of detect magic and investigating (5) the lantern and the patterns on the wall behind it, looking for any messages or signs.
"Coward? Coming from the little man who ran away? Hahaha."You hear the light chuckling from behind you. "Hahaha." It's over there- by the doors. Then it's not. "HAHHA!"By the receptionist desk. Oh wait- no it's not. By the lounge chairs... no?
It is coming from everywhere in the room.
"You can't control fate. You can only tempt it. And wield it, you did little."
"It still thinks it has a shot." It purrs.
The snow below you starts to melt away like as if pulled by an invisible drain. "Are we ready or are we not?"
@Macario
(( hehe :3 ))
You do not see Argos leave the room. Investigating the lanterns, you can definitely see these were not here from before. But they are just as solid as the rest of the room around you. Something about it tells you that nothing has been tampered with but you can feel the energy pulse within. It feels sick. Like something about this place... is all wrong.
Detect magic seems all wrong too. It just seems to come up with a whole lot of nothing. There is nothing magical on that item in particular. But looking at it, you see a name inscribed on it 'Arthur T. Williams.' You have never heard of this name before in your life. Looking towards the relief too, you see again much of nothing. But that name keeps coming up. It is signed on all the paintings on the wall like no tomorrow! ... This wasn't here before either. The reliefs before had no such signature. And all the even weirder-
The masks nearby you seem to move up and down in a way that's like it's breathing.

From the corner of your eye you start to spy a trail of blood red feathers (only you can see). They lead up and out the door of the ballroom.

Your brain comes up with a whole lot of hot nothing. But you can feel the energy pulsate from these feathers. They seem to shine when you're around.
