"And do you really believe that makes you better than them,"She responds in Elvish as she raises her hand as if to lower Evern's bow. She stops herself just short of touching it but leaves it hovering as she continues, "The children of the spider follow Lolth. The Shadar-Kai worship their Raven Queen. Perhaps some humans believe that's enough to make our lives forfeit."
"Tell me, Erven Or-tel-quessir, when you are reunited in Arvandor, what will you tell the ones you lost about this day?"
Erven is visibly shaking at this point, anger seething through him, heart is racing. “They will say that I brought them justice. Rest. Peace! You’ve never had to crush your mother’s head with a rock to get her to stop moving, after she was turned into a vile undead abomination by one of these pieces of filth! Once you have done that, then you can look down on me, you might understand…. I don’t know why you are here, to tell them no, no, you are naughty little boys, stop killing and sacrificing, and can you just tell those zombies you’ve created out front to go away? I’m here for a completely different reason. To end them! And this whole vile place. Please! Do not try to stop me!”” Erven is barely holding on to the arrow now, bowstring arm straining, tears coming to his eyes.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Not understanding what he assumes is elvish, the young dark-haired man still understands the feelings of both the scarred elf and the half-elf. He normally would not hesitate to join an ongoing argument, but this feels different. Instead he stands back, even motioning to the others to not interfere as the two end their conversation, one way or the other.
"Do not mistake the assassin's mask for the executioner's hood," she continues in Elvish, "This will bring neither justice nor peace for the dead, only vengeance for the living."
But, despite her words, she steps back out of Erven's way...
Erven cries out to Kit, “I’m sorry… I can’t!” And his arrows fly, the release of the bowstring and the tension released from his body, the anger, hate and vengeance formed in the shape of arrows, hurtling toward their target.

(Now this is the kind of character development I'm talking about. Twombley, Grover, both of you take an inspiration!)
After their arguement, made somewhat less dramatic by the fact they have to whisper to each other rather than shouting, Erven crumbles. He lets loose the arrow, which flies through the air, into the midst of the cultists. His first arrow strikes the chest of one of the foul worshippers, and then everything explodes. With thorns that is.
(Keep in mind, since all the cultists were unconscious, all attacks against them are crits and they automatically fail DEX saves. You just destroyed these guys)
C1 is the target of the first arrow, and C's 2, 3, & 4 were all hit by the hail of thorns. C2 was the target of the second arrow strike.
The first foul worshipper never even wakes, flesh eviscerated by thorns, heart pierced by a deadly arrow. The others scream as they awaken, bloody and half dead already from the furious spikes digging into their flesh. The three in the second cavern yell in surprise at the burst of chaos, and leap to their feet, surprised.

The young dark-haired man looks quickly between the scarred elf and the half-elf, then gritting his teeth, following suit, sending a greenish beam of eldritch crackling force towards a cultist in the back efter placing his hex on it.
Eldritch Blast: 11 Force: 6 Necrotic: 1
He would follow up with another beam from his outstretched hand on the same cultist or the closest standing cultist, replacing his hex as necessary.
Tabitha blocks the doors, keeping them from shutting, or that was the intent. Once she is done, Khessa sends forth her magical servant, which plucks the eye from the door and gives it to the warrior-mage. The door does not close immediately, but after a minute, they start to close. The pitons catch the door as it tries to close
Meanwhile, the rest of the party discusses the morality of murdering the cultists in their sleep. While this happens, Kevori speaks up "For what it's worth, those b*****ds killed my brother, and I want to return the favor."
Can I have Tabitha make an Intelligence check to see how well she placed the pitons?
They were placed amazingly badly. (Nat 1. Total of 5)

Khessa was ready to intervene in case of sounds of battle - an eventuality which was promptly realized. She therefore hurries to reach the scene of the battle, Greatsword raised and firm in both hands, ready to strike.
Seeing that the hostilities have already begun, the blonde arcane warrior tries to end them as soon as possible and in a way favorable to her new friends, that is, by launching broad slashes against the cultists!
When choosing targets, the tall adventuress preferably attacks the most injured cultists first, in the hope of reducing their numbers - if only healthy ones remain, she will focus on those closest to her.

Hearing Kit's cry, Khessa unconsciously raises an eyebrow, skeptical both that the party has the authority to 'arrest' anyone, not representing the authorities, and that the cultists are so quick to surrender... but she, anyway, keeps herself ready to stop swinging her heavy blade, in case any of the enemies show that they have had enough.
His attention momentarily turned away from the dark altar at the end of the room, Mud sighs as he turns and trots over to the room where the sleeping cultists were. He winces at the loudness of Kit's cry, but he finds himself approving. He had thought a bit about his previous stance on the cultists, and he finds himself agreeing with Kit's supposed reasoning. His initial stance of killing the bandits in their sleep was hastily formed primarily because of how much he knew it would insult Bahumut and his family's sense of honor. Ironically, choosing not to attack the helpless cultists would be the kind of thing the Platinum One would approve of, though Mud quickly forced the thought out of his mind before it tempted him to revert back to his old stance. At the end of the day, Mud wasn't a monster bent on killing, and he mentally chided himself for making such a hasty decision about the cultists. Knowing him, it would be one of many hasty decisions he was going to make before he ended up hurting himself one day.
Once arriving in the room, he blinks in surprise at the carnage and mayhem before him. "Looks like I missed the party," he says dryly as he takes stock of the situation, indicating that many of the cultists already seemed to be taken care of.
If any of the cultists who weren't somehow already obliterated try to rise to their feet to defend themselves, Mud tries to send them sprawling back to the ground with a flick of his wrist. Scowling, he says, "Best if you stay down, pal. At this point, trying to do anything else is going to get you a world of hurt."
Casting Gust to keep any remaining cultists out of the fight.
Tabitha and Lance position themselves in the doorway to prevent any cultists escaping out this way. If any try to push past, Tabitha has readied an action to use shocking grasp

Erven starts screaming as he pulls out another arrow, shooting it at any cultist that is toward the front. He is a picture of vengance and wrath.
Longbow : 24 to hit, for 7 points of piercing damage, to the closest cultist down the hall.
He continues to move to keep line of sight down the hallway.
