Theodor at one point will try to find Runara and ask for a conversation.
"Cleric Runara, could I ask you, this surcoat I'm wearing, I could swear I could hear the chanting of the litany when we were fighting the fume drakes. It was also like I could see the Draconic writing moving. Could it be possible I've been given the wrong surcoat perhaps?"
Runara to Theodor
I believe that Reitl gave you our standard Paladins surcoat? They are enchanted with Draconic magic. The litany protects the wearer with a blessing, and becomes stronger if the Paladin is devout. +2 armour and augmented melee 1d4. Surely your Temple provided you with something similar? We enchant them here, I do the embroidery myself. It is quite soothing. Any Paladin coming here to renew their faith or recover from illness is offered one.
Myla to Krack
Let's go down to the beach and see if we can get it to work. She grabs her contraption and tucks it under one arm, she is stronger than she looks. This is Laylee my assistant. Wouldn't you like to fly like me, maybe we could build you wings, or find a friendly dragon.
You can hear laughing voices below and look over the walls on the cliff top above the Hot Spring. The spring is surrounded by torches and a group of kobolds were busy cleaning the spring out by bailing away the blood, it appears to be working. The healing spring seems to want to be cleaned and the fume drakes blood floats making it easier to return it to its pristine glory. You notice them walk forward with a small statue of Bahamut to place near the spring, no doubt in that small alcove that you all noticed before the fight.
You could go and help them, or relax for the rest of the day. Taraks quest can wait until tomorrow.
As he ends his meal, he goes back to his quarter to pick up his new robe, which he wears right after. He goes outside and as he hears the voices and sees the commotion, he says to whoever is there "I'm going, if anyone wants to come, be my guest." he then flips his coin and goes to help.
Heads off to wander in a random direction. He holds one of his daggers with blood just now drying on it. He stares at it from behind his mask wondering why he must always resort to death? Can't he just not for once? Then he sighs and looks up at the water front from the beach, sitting down to think in lonely contemplation.
He hugs his knees to his chest. And for a short time to anyone watching he looks like a small child trying to hide from the monsters under his bed.
Theodor takes some time to process what Runara tells him.
"Honestly no, my temple was quite modest. We did not have a devout that could enchant armor or clothing. I would be honored to wear this, I shall continue my journey to be a testament to Bahamut's justice and mercy."
Theodor bows and exits. He goes to the pools to help the Kobolds.
The kobolds were humming a song as they passed buckets along the line, two of them in nothing but breechcloths clearing the spring of any blood, then passing buckets down to the sea. There is some cedar incense burning next to the small statue.
Look Shalya is coming to join us! Can you hum too or sing along? Don't let the fume drake blood touch your skin, it's poisonous to humans. The clothed kobolds pulled her into the bucket line.
Reitl is overseeing the clean up and leans heavily on his staff, casting light so they could see the smaller droplets of blood more clearly. He sees Barakas approach, and Rix joins him, they both nod to each other. So Bahamut has offered you the option to become a cleric. The litany of Bahamut is recharged with any sincere form of prayer, welcome brother. They both gently take his hand welcoming him.
Theodor arrived to see the kobolds end their humming and start to sing in Draconic. He grinned as it was a sailors tune for pulling up an anchor.
Myla and Laylee lead Krack down to the beach. Myla clutched her contraption tightly. Here Krack take this. Here is the clockwork key, wait until we are 30ft away then wind it up and toss it into the air towards us. They eagerly ran down the beach each expecting the machine to work.
He thanks both of them and starts shaking is head "I'm not sure if the route is one I should follow." he then looks up at one of his daggers and says "Some say my unorthodox methods are what kept me alive. I'll give it some thought. By the way, thank you for everything, if is there anything I can do to return the hospitality I'm here. I might not look like that, but I'm pretty handy with people" He starts smilling and follows and help them
He takes the clockwork, staring at the intricacies of the... well he doesn't know what, he's never seen anything like it. "Krack... Krack..."He finally realizes they are calling his name as he was lost, staring at the device.
"Oh, right, yes. READY?" he asks, and winds up the clockwork key a few times as instructed. "ONE! TWO! THREEEEE!" he says, and then launches the clockwork in the air towards Myla and Laylee.
He then lets you a small, but ferocious yelp and races towards the other Kobolds, trying to stay beneath the clockwork as much as he can, imagining it was him, flying above the sand!
Myla flew to one side as the clockwork artifact headed towards her, it didn't seem to be slowing down. Maybe she had calibrated it wrong. She was so involved in watching it fly that she didn't notice that Krack and she were on a collision course. Laylee shouted a warning as the two of them collided in a heap with water from the potion bottles splashed all over them. The clockwork bombadier seemed to work but it needed some more work on tracking. She sat down on the sand and laughed.
How was it for you Krack? Do you think it's too big? Maybe we'd be better enlarging the bat winged contraption and have you fly it! I made you a present, here, its a belt for holding alchemical fire safely.
She hands Krack a bandolier with four cups each holding a potion snugly. The leather was intricately carved with vines.
Mumpo, one of the kobolds walked up to Veneer, gently tugging on his sleeve. Do you want to help? A pair of sharp eyes could be useful now. Soon we'll have the spring nice and clean, you could bathe in it if you want, its soothes all aches and pains. Runara says it's magical due to the death of a bronze dragon here.
Tarak spent his time in the library drawing a map of the Myconid colony, the seagrove caves. He placed one in each room at the Temple. They could ask him more at breakfast.
When it is an appropriate time, she tries to open a conversation with the party and Tarak to get more details about the map. How will they get there? Will they need to take anything with them? Is there something they need to bring back?

You can approach the cavern two ways, by boat at high tide or walking to the steps at low tide, the octopus is waiting for you just where the sea ends. The myconids communicate via telepathic spores, speak as you normally do they'll read your mind. When under attack they fight as one unit until the threat is dead. Don't kill one, and for safetys sake keep your gestures peaceful or you'll end up as compost for their sprouts. Talk to their Sovereign Sinensa, and take the bags of compost I've made up from dinner leavings and plant scraps from the vegetable patch. You are seeking the reason for their new defensive stance, help them if you can. Take torches their cavern is only lit by fungi. We are looking to exchange compost for their adult heart cap mushrooms for healing potions.
To Tarak, telepathically, "They speak with minds, not mouths? How odd. I will take charge of torches and negotiation." Out loud, she says, "Is there somewhere to buy or borrow torches and a tinderbox?"
She will quickly finish breakfast, then inform the other visitors of the scope of the myconid mission, and set off to obtain torches and compost.
