Rosa walks in after seeing nothing in the stove, and stops at the sight of the children. His face grows very still, looking like a statue, but his eyes change to a dark, sad blue.
"Nanny had a baby, but he looked just like Thorn did when he was little. That's what all the people said. It's why Mother was furious with her. The cook said that the little thing was Father's by-blow, whatever that means." the girl says softly. "But when he was born, he was quiet. They painted a picture of all of us with him, but he wasn't alive then. I was so excited to have another baby brother, but they said something was wrong and he couldn't breathe right." The little boy rubs his nose as if sniffling again.
The boy looks up at you. "The monster is in the basement. I'm not supposed to know, but there is a staircase down in the room with all the furniture in it." he says, pointing to the hidden door in the storage room. "I never went in, but daddy always yelled about that wall if I got too close."
"So we found the remains of the nanny then? I found the nursery, downstairs but there were just blankets, no sign of a baby." Tengen addresses the children "Little ones I think my friends and I should go downstairs and look in one of these rooms we didn't look in before, after that we can come back here and then go downstairs to deal with this monster, is that ok with you both?" Tengen looks around at the assembled party checking that this idea is agreeable.

Taken aback by the boy's reaction Tengen steps away from them a little. "You wanted us to stop the monster downstairs, we can't do it from here, I could stay here with you while the others go and look in the secret room but we will need to go downstairs as a group to stop the monster - do you want to come with us - it might not be safe, although as you are already.... well anyway, how about I keep you both company for a few minutes while the others go and explore in the library?"

Milamber just heads out to go look at the secret room. He figures that whoever else is coming, will just come. On his way there he keeps his eyes and ears open for any potential signs of danger, knowing how ghosts have a tendency to just appear at times.

As you both try exiting the room, the ghosts swoop toward you, attempting to reach into your very souls to take up residence with a wail of "NO! Don't leave us!" that pulls directly at the heartstrings of all in the room! However, you manage to shake off their attempts and they remain at the threshold of the room, looking at you forlornly.
"We're sorry, we don't want to be left alone. It's lonely and scary here by ourselves."Rose says, voice soft.
Milamber looks back and shakes his head. "I understand your fear, But attempting to control others for your own means is wrong, little one" He scolds before walking away.

“It’s ok “ says the ranger “ I will stay too with her while the others search the library.” He looks to the cleric “ But as she said, we need to go togetherr to fight the monster. Once it’s dead it wouldn’t be scary anymore. “
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Rosa says, "I swear we'll come back. We just have to make sure the monster won't scare you anymore okay?" Since joining this team, Rosa has been polite but pretty distant to you. With these kids though, you see a softness to his face, and he smiles kindly at them. Then he will follow the other two out of the room.
As Rosa, and any others, go to leave, the children don't make any further movements.
For those investigating the library area, I'm going to assume that one of you can make the Perception check to spot the hidden door, fueled by the knowledge imparted by the dollhouse.
In the library, you note that red velvet drapes cover the windows of this room. An exquisite mahogany desk and a matching high-back chair face the entrance and the fireplace, above which hangs a framed picture of a windmill perched atop a rocky crag. Situated in corners of the room are two overstuffed chairs. Floor-to-ceiling bookshelves line the south wall. A rolling wooden ladder allows one to more easily reach the high shelves.
On the desk are several items that you would expect on any study desk: lamp, ink, pens, letter materials, etc. There is also a wooden seal featuring a windmill crest that you've seen elsewhere in the house, and the lone desk drawer contains a heavy iron key, that looks like it may have fit the lock that you all so expertly destroyed.
The bookshelves themselves hold hundreds of tomes that cover all manner of topics from history to warfare to alchemy, in addition to many first edition volumes of poetry and fiction. One such tome is a featureless red covered book that you saw on the dollhouse as a switch. Tugging on it swings open one of the bookshelves near the back of the room, revealing a secret chamber!
Inside the secret room, you find far darker materials. Fiend-summoning and necromantic rituals used by a group called the Priests of Osybus, a group no one has heard of in any level of study. A heavy wooden chest with clawed iron feet stands against one wall, partially open, with a leather-clad skeleton hanging out of it. Careful inspection shows three wicked little darts stuck into the armor. The trap mechanism on the chest appears to be non-functional at this point, as chips of bone have wedged in the opening. The skeleton is clutching a piece of parchment.
Finally, the chest itself contains a variety of documents. Three blank books with soft black leather covers, three scrolls with magical writing on them, the deed to a house, the deed to a windmill of some sort, and a document titled Last Will and Testament. On the bottom of the will are the signatures of Gustav and Elisabeth Durst. Inspection of the documents have them appearing to be no more than few years old, though the skeleton and armor appear to be centuries old.
Letter (If you read it....)
My most pathetic servant,
I am not a messiah sent to you by the Dark Powers of this land. I have not come to lead you on a path to immortality. However many souls you have bled on your hidden altar, however many visitors you have tortured in your dungeon, know that you are not the ones who brought me to this beautiful land. You are but worms writhing in my earth.
You say that you are cursed, your fortunes spent. You abandoned love for madness, took solace in the bosom of another woman, and sired a stillborn son. Cursed by darkness? Of that I have no doubt. Save you from your wretchedness? I think not. I much prefer you as you are.
Your dread lord and master,
Strahd von Zarovich

Walking over to the skeleton, Milamber attempts to pull the scroll free, carefully, with the desire to prevent any damage and then he looks at it with the desire to read what it contains. ( Languages: Common, Dwarvish, Elvish, Primordial, Undercommon) "I do not like the contents of mystical devices used in this house. These people were involved in some pretty dark stuff. I fear what kind of monster we may be facing based on what I see here." Milamber speaks to any who would listen.
