Rynna follows the others into the room. The elf's warning and her own suspicion loom large in her mind and so she keeps a look out for anything suspicious.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Creak moves towards the top-most room. Opening the stained-glass set doors reveals a dusty bedroom with heavy burgundy drapes over the outside windows. A four-poster bed dominates the middle of the room, complete with embroidered curtains and tattered veils draped from post to post. There are a pair of wardrobes that open easily, but contain nothing. There is a vanity with a wood-framed mirror and a small jewelry box. As with many of the other rooms, there is a fireplace to provide heat in the colder months, though this room features a molding tiger skin rug in front of the fireplace. Over the mantle is a poster of two dour individuals, which some of you could recognize from the painting on the second floor. In one corner of the room, there is a parlor/sitting area with a table and two chairs, as well as a bowl and jug made of porcelain. Off this parlor is a door that leads outside to a balcony. Finally, at the foot of the bed is a full length mirror mounted on a door, though this door also stands open showing a empty closet.
Rynna, other than being positive you've never seen your spell behave this way, you don't really have much of an idea why it manifested like that. Perhaps the magic that brought you here is somehow corrupting things.
Gralwynn, as you open the door across from the top-most, you discover an abandoned bathroom, with a wooden clawfoot tub, a small stove with a kettle, and a barrel under a spigot.
Adric, when you open your senses to the otherworldly, you don't immediately register anything. However, while you are scanning things, Finlan opens the door to the bottom-most room. The moment the door opens, you are flooded with a horrific odor, a mix between festering sewage, a skunk, and curdled milk. It pours out of the room, clearly emanating from an undead creature. No sooner does it hit you than a swirling mist coalesces into the figure of a gaunt woman, nearly skeletal in appearance. A gray-black mist swirls around her form, though several bright white areas of light shine as if pierced by something. Seeing Finlan, she points and a devastating shriek radiates from her mouth, sending chills down your spines.
If Creak can get in range, he will sprint toward the sound of the noise and whip out his longbow as he releases an arrow. Attack: 10 (adv. if hidden: 21 Damage: 8 piercing + 4 sneak.
Adric leaps toward the threat, landing a blow on the woman. However, it doesn't feel as effective a strike as he is used to, as it passes somewhat through her! Creak, unfortunately, makes slightly too much noise during his dash to find a shot and the woman notices him in enough time to move out of the way of his arrow! The woman materialized directly in front of Finlan earlier, so his rapier lashes out, but he also notices that the blade does substantially less damage than he is used to as the ethereal substance of the woman swirls with the attack.
Seeing the larger creature before her, she swings towards Adric's chest with her ghastly claws, the sight of his holy symbol enraging her!
Attack on Adric: 17 for 10 necrotic damage.

When you attempt to learn or recall a piece of lore, if you do not know that information, you often know where and from whom you can obtain it. Usually, this information comes from a library, scriptorium, university, or a sage or other learned person or creature. Your DM might rule that the knowledge you seek is secreted away in an almost inaccessible place, or that it simply cannot be found. Unearthing the deepest secrets of the multiverse can require an adventure or even a whole campaign.

Otherwise - Balmaris will reach in to his pouch and pull forth on of his darts and throw it at the creature
[Dart: 18 Damage: Damage: 6
(OOC - or I guess I haven't a clue what it is.....wow....)
Balmaris flicks a dart towards the ghastly figure, sending poofs of ethereal mist off the body as Rynna's mote of fire punches square into the creature's chest, sending flickers of flame across the frame, dissipating it. Unfortunately, this duo of attacks gives her enough pause to surge backwards a step, avoiding Gralwynn's claws.

Creak looks at his bow and shakes it, as if that would fix the missing issue. He then lines up a new shot, “Let’s try this again- DIE!- again.” Attack: 25 Damage: 8 piercing + 1 sneak attack!
Creak's arrow sails through the air, sticking in the otherwise incorporeal creature. Her mouth howls in a terrifying mask of impending death even as Finlan's strike misses. This distracts the spirit just long enough for Adric to slam his longsword through her chest, causing a brief flare of light before her body crumbles to the ground in a small pile of dust.
Combat over!
Those of you in the room can take the moment now to inspect your surroundings somewhat. at one point, you can tell that this was an elegantly appointed bedroom with a large bed, two end tables, and a wardrobe. Next to the wardrobe is a full-length mirror carved with ivy and berries on the wooden frame. Through a doorway off to one side is a nursery, containing only a single crib covered by a black shroud hanging from the ceiling.
