Crow Beak Creak, you were hired onto an archaeological mission to investigate artifacts of an ancient elven empire in the heart of the Sword Coast. Given your unique abilities, you were asked to scout ahead for the party, ranging a day or two beyond the company in order to make sure the way was secure. While you were camping one evening, a cool mist rushed in and when you awoke, you found yourself lying beside a cold campfire pit beside a gravel road surrounded by dagger-like pine trees.
You find that you are unable to fly in the general vicinity of this area, as you cannot see and have no sense of direction above the treeline. Feeling the mists close around you, you follow the road, coming upon a village in the distance. You notice a group of individuals talking to a pair of children in the middle of the street a few hundred feet away. As you observe them, they move into a rowhouse, a full three stories tall. After a few minutes, you find that the mists are carrying you away towards the house, even as the children disappear alongside the house.
(Welcome to JcAndD, playing the Kenku Rogue - Crow Beak Creak. J, feel free to jump in any time.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Creak gives a firm, squawking sigh, muttering in differing voices under his breath, “Oh this job should be easy, Creak- You’ll have no trouble, my good man- Aye, you’ll be paid ‘andsomely- Lies.” He follows the mists to the, if he might say, downright creepy house. Thinking for a moment and he tails the group inside, not quite sure if they’re friend or foe yet.
Stealth: 9
(Hello! Glad to be here! Looking forward to the game! Btw, Kenku actually don’t have a flying speed, so I can’t fly normally either haha)
(Hah, I knew I forgot to update one part of my thinking with Creak. For some reason I had him in my notes as an Aarakocra, not a Kenku. Updated everything but the "can't fly" part!)
You creep inside the house and see some torchlight illuminating things as a figure moves across the great hall beyond, back to you.
Looks to be a human in armor, and if he were to turn around and search, possibly. If you close the front door behind you, it would stop you from being backlit (you've spotted Adric Stormheart!).
You don't notice anything other than you've already seen in the dining room. How much silverware are you pocketing? (There's a full formal service for 8, so 72 pieces all told).
Adric, you proceed to the remaining two doors. One of them swings open into the same dining room that was discovered earlier. The other door opens up into a tidy kitchen area. Dishes, cooking utensils and implements are stowed neatly on the shelves. There is a working table along one wall with a cutting board and rolling pin resting atop it. On the wall to the far left of the entry is a dome-shaped stone oven, with a pipe leading to the ceiling. There is a thin door to the left of the oven. Finally, you see a tiny door partway up the wall to your right. For those familiar with the fancier houses in this world, it's an entry point for a dumbwaiter.
Reed, you wander about, looking for any sign of a doorway or stairs down, but you can't seem to find any, strangely.

Can Creak determine what exactly this creature is, and does it look like it can see me?

Perception roll 17+:
You spot a strange figure moving in through the open door behind you.
Does Adric notice Creak, or is he too busy looking into the new room?

(Creak, you are the strange figure coming in the house, sorry, I didn't make that part clear! d'oh me.)
Adric, you can roll perception as you'd like to see if you catch wind of Creak.
(Oh. I am scary!)
Creak will close the door.

(Sorry!)

Gralwynn eyes the shinies, judging/mentally sorting them based on value, and pockets 1 set of nine, as well as all the forks from the other sets.
"The shinies speak of steaks with spoons"
Gralwynn moves back out to the hallway, heading towards Reed's location, a soft jingle coming from her pockets.
(OoC: thanks man, can we get a map update too?)
You have successfully pilfered three knives, two spoons, and thirty-two forks.
(Of course!)

Adric probably doesn't notice Creak with a Perception of 8, so he'll just explore the room at the top right corner.

Creak is going to tail behind Adric, hoping that he’ll lead him to something to make sense of this.

After failing to find a way down, I will head up. Still rushing, I run up the stairs in the large room.
