Amdaeng touches the bear, who is near death and stabilizes her. Her body fights the curse. She will live, but will remain this tiny size. She licks Amdaeng.
After helping move the not so tiny giant out of the way, Vydar searches the creature.
Investigation: 24
Once done he enters the next chamber. He flinches and his breath catches when he sees the mural. The chill runs down his spine, and he looks away forcing back that horrid vision. This is when he notices Amdaeng messing with something. A bear? Seems it was caught in the shrink spell. He says nothing, but watches as she aids the wounded creature. He grimaces when creature begins to convulse seems the curse may be permanent?
Arcana: 24
After a few moments, he begins to search this chamber. Though he makes a point not to look at the mural again.
On searching the giant, Vydar finds a few things of interest. Osmond Three Teeth wears a necklace of 20 copper charms (worth 100gp). He also carries another potion of healing, marked as the one that was found earlier. But of the most interest is the folded piece of familiar paper with the torn edge he carries in a pocket, one of the torn-out maps stolen from Natalie Storms Journal (the one that has 9 Caches and is unmarked).
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Zarbyn will use one of his daggers to run it slowly along the sides and bottom outside of the stone chest looking for any signs of a tripwire or further traps.
Investigation: 15
After seeing nothing else in the chest and not (?) detecting any other traps he wish fish the piece of paper out of the bottom of the chest and read it aloud.
"Look here! There is a note left in the chest. It says..."
(ooc: when you reveal what the note says everyone should also know as Zarbyn is reading it aloud.)

"A rightful place awaits you in the Realms Above, in the Land of the Great Light. Come in peace, and live beneath the sun again, where trees and flowers grow."
— The message of Eilistraee to all decent drow.
"Run thy sword across my chains, Silver Lady, that I may join your dance.”
Through care and patience, you now have a bear pet. (You can rename her). She is, however, the size of a small housecat. She cannot attack, defend, distract, aid, or otherwise play any role in combat. She is both adorable and ferocious at the same time. She can be taught to do simple tricks if treated well. She is not a familiar.
Lev walks over to Zarbyn, listening as he reads the note, "So the third party got here before us, figures." He huffs, "We did get a late start after all." He turns to Amdaeng, noting that she seems ready to adopt the tiny bear. Well, that's probably a good thing. It likely wouldn't survive on its own now that its whole world has changed thanks to that spell. Poor thing probably didn't have a choice as to who its previous owner was...
He grunts, adrenaline wearing off as the others start searching. He sits down on the nearby rocks, leaning forward on the haft of his glaive and watching as everyone moves about and looks through the maps and such. Overall, he's doing alright, but he is feeling his wounds now and could use a break. So, he'll rest a bit for now, finding himself rather uninterested in the loot around the cave. If someone finds something useful they'll bring it up to the group.
"You should probably take a break too," he says to Iolinder, noting the half-elf's wounds from the previous fight.
A brief feeling of satisfaction washes over Vydar when he realizes they've partly avenged Natalie. However, that feeling fades swiftly as feelings of revenge do. Nothing will bring Natalie back, and he knows deep down that finishing what she started would please her more than vengeance. He packs the items he finds, now likely going from the poorest party member to the richest in only a couple days.
He looks up as Zarbyn reads the letter, and grits his teeth upon hearing it's contents. They were to late.
He glances at Lev. "We don't have time for a break! If these bastards get all the artifacts before we do then we are screwed! At this point we may be better off just skipping the next few caches and heading to the last few. Then we can get ahead of these people and at least keep them from gathering all of the artifacts!" He's clearly frustrated, and probably isn't thinking about the fact that he's used up his magical reserves for the day.
He walks over to Iolinder and holds out the potion he'd just picked up off the giant. "Here."
Amdaeng frowned, " We have time for a short break if people need it....but I think you may be correct Vydar in that heading for cache 3 or 4 might be a better move....if we catch the other group they will already have the artifacts on them."
She scritched the furball cradled in her arms, " Isn't that right, Ning? Yes it is! It is. Still hungry? maybe I should call you Pum Pui instead?"
You can't help but look at the painted wall image of the Snake Demon Myurr. However, what stands out is that in this painting, Myurr has all of its claws. The image you are trying to forget distinctly was missing one claw, which looked like the dagger you had found. In addition, you feel quite uneasy taking a rest so close to the visage of this demon.
The little bear seems friendly enough. It has likely been in captivity since it was a cub and seems very much like a dog or cat. It stands on its hind feet up to its full height (2 feet) and takes a piece of jerky. It seems to not mind that Amdaeng is petting it, and does not seem particularly upset that its former masters are dead.
Iólinder watched with satisfaction as first the goblins and the giant fell to the ground, then his eyes grew in amazement as all of them suddenly grew back to their original size. He would find it interesting were it not that the full size giant was now blocking the passage to the chamber beyond. He helped the others in moving the giant piece of dead weight, even though his wounds ached with every effort. When they finally managed to clear the path, Iólinder had to sit down for a moment from the cumulative strain on his body.
'Thanks.' He said when Vydar handed him a potion. It looked the same as the one he handed the dark elf earlier. For a moment Iólinder thought Vydar was handing him the same potion, before realising he had seen him looting the potion off the dead giant. He was about to drink it when he got distracted by two things: the disturbing mural of the snake demon Myurr in all its grotesque glory and, on the other side of the emotional spectrum, the sight of Amdaeng playing with was either a miniature bear or an oversized cat. The contrasting images were almost enough to give him whiplash.
'If we take a break, at least let us get out of this cave first.' Iólinder replied to Amdaeng, momentarily having forgotten about the potion in his hand.
Does the claw dagger in Iólinder's backpack react in any way when in the vicinity of the mural? Does combining the recovered map with Professor Storm's other notes reveal any new information?
The map on the giant is one of several copies found from the wet book. The map has 9 caches, and they are not marked, like the caches from the private map that Vydar found hidden in the wagon. (Here is the map found on the giant). Iólinder does not notice anything from the wrapped dagger (?? Would he like to take the dagger out of his backpack?)
"Amdaeng's right, we can spare a hour to rest but we should then try to outpace the other group by heading to location 3 or 4."
Zarbyn looks at the eerie image of the demon and then gives himself a shake.
"I'm with Iolinder, let's at least get out of this room, that image is unsettling to say the least." Zarbyn gestures at the image of the demon before heading for the exit.
Amdaeng is unbothered by the mural of the snake demon, she'd seen many such engravings in her somewhat lackadaisical studies but she nodded and began moving out.
" Have we finished looting all the dead people?", she was a little nonplussed by how quickly she was getting used to corpses as a daily occurence...
" Ning, come! No! You don't know where that goblin has been! Put that arm down!"
Ning, the bear, goes over to the pool of water near the mural, swims across, and eats a few of the silver-blue mushrooms. Drinks a bit of water, then swims back to Amdaeng. As Amdaeng heads back to the other chamber, she notes some red-colored potion vials on some of the bodies, and most have small coin pouches.
Amdaeng collects coins and potions, handing the potions over to those most wounded.......she doesn't actually know if they are healing potions but they might be....
She frowns as Ning eats the mushrooms but notes she is a full grown wild bear so likely knows what she is doing....
Ning seems fine when she returns. (Perception roll for Amdaeng)
In all, with the two groups of Goblins (now full size, the group collects 200 copper pieces, 2 red vials (Must study to figure out what they are, or short rest). Other items were found on Osmond Three Teeth. (necklace, healing potion, map).

You are too slow and dim-witted to challenge us.
The treasure is ours.
You are probably feeling small now, aren’t you?
